  1. I think that could be minmus. vall in ksp2 looks a lot less green than ksp 1.
  2. was there anything else in the stream that was new?
  3. obviously. no releasing spoilers and its to late to add new mechanics and to early to recieve feedback.
  4. I think ksp 2 will have its own original music but something similar to this could defenetly be in the game
  5. probably. if you buy the game via steam it will defenetly be that way
  6. cool. this actually shows a lot.you can see the ksc and the water. and there seems to be a better symetry tool. and procedural fuel tanks possibly.
  7. i mean we will have automated trade routes and cargo missions so maybe one of those will be made by non manned craft. and i know that rovers will be more usefull so maybe unmanned rovers too
  8. i do think we need something like that in ksp 2. it would be weird if the vab you built on another planet with minimal resources would be able to build the exact same rocket as your main ksc.
  9. its not that bad. never had a problem with this in ksp 1. and in ksp you use a bunch of different parts, not many of one type. bringing up a popup would be very anoying since you would have to do it a lot.
  10. in the beggining there will be no "career mode" but it will come eventually. and then you will probably have to explore some of the kerbol system before unlocking those huge engines. defenetly not. it will only be automated missions to transfer resources.
  11. well there will probably be bigger parts so bigger ships will be less laggy because they have less parts. ksp 2 devs also said they have focused on lag reduction and kraken attacs so it might even be better than ksp 1 the first early access release. one way they could do this is by calculating multiple parts as one. in ksp 1 every part can bend and is calculated individually. in ksp 2 they might make some parts stick together exactly because they simply dont need to move from eachother. this mainly aplies to surface attached parts but also other small parts. there are probably many other ways to make less lag too but i think ksp2 devs will be using this as well
  12. in some footage we have seen the ksc from above and there doesnt seem to have the same layout and you cant see a pond but you can see water around the launch pads. i guess its for cooling or something but you are probably able to go in it. i do think it is connected to the ocean so the water is real.
  13. weather yes. but not much on kerbin. maybe rain or light wind sometimes but not much. every new player will get stuck on kerbin if you make it too hard. but i defenetly want intense weather and storms on other planets with good resources like maybe eve. animals. no. it doesnt fit with the game and they would just create lag.
  14. it could be the recording program they use. or they run the game on low fps because they dont want the game to crash but they will want to show max settings. they cant release a game which cant be run over 15 fps. it will defenetly be fixed before release
  15. i have heard this before on the forum and it seems like a pretty popular idea but the main issue is that tou would have to do one boring mission where you just send an exploration sattelite to a new place.
  16. it will defenetly be possible but there will probably be some protection/anti griefing system. probably something you can mess with in the settings. but ksp 2 has a subassembly system wich allows players to split up one rocket in multiple vessels. maybe you can dock with someones space station but as long as you are connected to the base you are not in controll or have to ask for permission to use everything.
  17. i think it would be great to have a heat shield system similar to the flags in ksp 1 where they are a part that attatches to surfaces. they could pe procedural in the way that you could change the length and all that and maybe that they bend around the part proceduraly so that they always fit. but yhea we defenetly need a new system for heat shields. the old one is not going to work.
  18. saving replays like that takes up a lot of space so maybe it just records when you are about to land(or crash) so you can see what happened if you want. but we defenetly need a spectator mode that just lets you see what other players are doing
  19. there is so much potential for combat in ksp 2. with colonies it could be way more tactical and strategic. capture eachothers bases and stuff. i would love to have a war world with 2 or 3 people where we start on different planets or atleast ban using the ksc after we have our first colonies if thats not possible. I actually didnt use bdarmory in ksp 1 so i dont have much to say about what weapons should be added since i dont know what already exist but i hope they actually remake everything and dont keep much from the original. this might seem like a bad idea and like it would take longer time but not really. you cant really use content from the old mod in ksp 2 because the games will probably be too different to keep anything from the original. therefore i think it would be better to remake everything to make things fit with ksp 2. and some sort of capture system would be awesome so that i dont just destroy peoples colonies but i can actually take them. and some people here seem to think there wont be a bdarmory but i can with 100 percent confidence say that there will be some weapon mod if mods are possible.
  20. in ksp 1 all ships far away arent affected by the physics engines so i guess it will be the same in ksp2 especially for delivery routes
  21. Funny cause I thought it all was going to be cooperative funny cause I thought it would just be two indipendent players choosing to cooperate or compete.
  22. "Once interstellar travel is in place, KSP2 will have the "fundamental underpinnings for our complete career-equivalent mode," Simpson says, which is now called exploration mode. Currency is out, and resources are in—the key driving force for exploration campaigns will be the resources you collect and transport between colonies and use to build new vessels. " ok i think this answers a lot of speculations of the exploration mode. there is no money. its not just science mode. but now i have the question: what limits me from making a big ship the first thing i do? will i have to get resources on kerbin? basically the only limit to how much you can build is time.
