  1. I hope for some sort of gameplay reveal trailer in The Game Awards!
  2. They confirmed that this isn't in the game, However they never ruled out the possibility of it happening in the future, but keep in mind that it is a typical response, theres a good chance it will never happen ever. We don't know a thing about it, we've never seen game footage of it wheels. I hope we get at least that.
  3. You are right. I didn't put it in a chart because to me it seemed like an update to their structure and the game development process more than the game itself. While Multiplayer was never mentioned in that video, I believe we'll get some video that's shows it off somehow weather it's a Feature Video, or a gameplay trailer that shows off multiplayer, and maybe the release date at the end. Considering the possibility that Episode 6 may never exist, that's going to be an awful lot of time before it's going to be released, I don't expect silence after Episode 5 until the release date (In this case we'll assume the worst case, December 31st 2022) We will definitely start getting something in that time (e.g. Gameplay trailers, demos to Journalists & Youtubers, etc), but honestly, I don't expect it to be late 2022, because of recent info that surfaced during my investigation. I'm trying to piece it together and see if it actually contributes to the conversation or not. I will tell you that it's already outdated information and are completely useless, but we may be able to draw some conclusions with it.
  4. It seems like the average wait time for each Feature video is 5.5 months. I hope they become more frequent, as their frequency indicates how far away we are from the release of the game.
  5. I'd love cameras to be added to KSP, they will add a lot of functionality to the game. I'd also love a difficulty option that completely disables 3rd person view, You will only rely on the cameras installed on the ship or the kerbals, that will also open up a whole lot of replayability. While you're at it, a way to view the Kerbals' POV to aid this difficulty option to completely remove the 3rd person view.
  6. It went private, what happened?! I really hope it comes up soon. I think they might've wanted it to release on Friday, which is 24 hours away!
  7. I believe this is a good idea, each engine will have some form of response, some are faster than others in throttling and gimbal control. This will give some engines more popularity due to their superior gimbal speed even if they're not as powerful or as efficient as others. I'd argue that Gimbal animations will make the game easier to control using keyboard. in KSP 1 there's already an option to do this by clicking caps lock, your controls (engine gimbal and control surfaces) will have a bit of a delay to reach full power allowing you to create precise movements.
  8. Steam Deck is not a console, it's a PC. They don't have to port it or make hard restrictions. All they have to do is make sure it runs without some form of DRM, Anti-cheat softwares conflicting with the Proton translation layer. Steam Deck support isn't about the device either, optimizing for the Steam Deck is also optimizing for all lower end PCs. Optimizing for the Steam Deck is also optimizing for Linux in general. Which we can all agree is a good thing regardless. In software there are performance issues that aren't noticed with high end systems but are extremely noticeable in lower end ones. Even if they were fixed, higher end systems won't experience improvements, but lower end ones do, and that's the point of optimizing for the Deck.
  9. It did say "2022", but didn't mention any specifics about the date, could be January 1st to December 31st 2022 for all we know. This is news because it specified "Early 2022" as a timeframe.
  10. I got in normally, didn't get any notifications for subscription, since this is my first time visiting this website. Try deleting your cookies for that website? I tried it in the Washington Post (or one similar, don't remember) once and it worked, it gave me free 3 articles to read before giving me a propt to subscripe, I deleted the cookies and my counter got reset. I know this, which is contradictory to me. I'm puzzled by the release date. Does early mean its in the first half, first third or first quarter? if its first quarter than that would contradict the T2 earnings report, if its first half then it'd be from April to June. There are 3 types of time ranges, There 's "Early - Late" and there's "Early - Mid - Late", and the quarters, saying "early" could be any of theses' "early".
  11. Former NASA engineer Campos to be featured in video game It's an interesting article to read, but I noticed something in it... First time seeing a release window. I thought "Maybe this article is from 2019?", I double checked, it's from September 19th 2021. That makes it early 2022? Crazy. What do you guys think about this?
  12. I hope the game will feature some sort of Aerodynamics simulation/testing as well as gravity/atmospheric simulation in the VAB so that we test our vehicles before committing to sending them! The simulation for certain planets can only be unlocked once you collect enough data about it. That'd be amazing!
  13. Care to explain what your theory is? I'm interested.
  14. I don't remember this prototype was mentioned in the final hours of HLA.
  15. This is what they tried to make, at 17:08: It looks amazing even in its unfinished state.
  16. Emphasis on the word "mission" not "project". Based off of the wording alone, I don't think it's something we can see/feel like adding a feature. Completely blind guess: Maybe they're porting the game to Unity DOTS? It could be one of the reasons why the game was delayed so much. Unity uses a component system, it's easy. But DOTS is made for performance like using multi-thread processing even on tasks that aren't designed to work with multi-threading. Lets hope Unity DOTS is being used to get even more performance. From videos I've seen on YouTube it does improve physics performance. To summarize, He stopped the test when FPS became less than 60 FPS. Unity default system reached 9k objects, while Unity DOTs reached 15k objects. Unity DOTS reached up to 50k objects at around 15 fps. And 198k with ~3 FPS, Unity did not break. I hope KSP 2 is using or are switching to Unity DOTS system to squeeze more performance.
  17. Yes please! This will open the possibility for easy VR support implementation.
  18. It may seem like it's nothing new, but there's something you can't see which is new. The music! Its longer and largely uncut!
  19. You're right... I do remember seeing this picture with a different layout organization.
  20. Is there going to be an API to use for KSP 2 that is similar to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020's SimConnect SDK? I'd love to have some sort of utility app that gathers all in-game information and displays them in certain ways, for example, a 2D map to see on an external screen (As seen in the provided image), or a log tracker to use for replays. analysis, and what not.
  21. I'd love an entire update or DLC that's entirely underwater exploration.
  22. More music, Yay! I hope there are Situational/Dynamic Music in there too, If so, I'd love an entire episode on it and how it works; I want to enjoy listening more of it. I hope Mr. Howard took inspiration from Álvaro A. Lorite's suggestions in this video. KSP Dynamic Music (How I would do the soundtrack) - YouTube
  23. Can you add a section about the music? The latest Show and Tell (Power Generation Modules) is the first time the game's music is revealed and that's quite significant! The music that was in previous videos (Next Gen Tech and Kerbals) was made by a different company. They were specifically made for said videos, it's extremely unlikely they'll be in-game.
  24. Well, graphics goes into more than just lighting and textures. I talked about lighting since I found it to be the most important element to me, and its what I found OG KSP suffering from the most. the fact that the shaded size is pitch black is just awful. Thankfully I heard PlanetShine has little to no impact in performance, so you could use it, it makes all the differences.
