  1. After being stranded and eventually reverting for 5 missions, Bob was not pleased. He signed up for a final Gilly mission, and it was a success! They (It was a gemini pod with val, too) plotted a course home, and after re-entry they hit the stage button. Just a click was heard, and no FWOOSH of parachutes. “Uh-oh” said bob, at altitude 1,000 meters, and falling rapidly. In a desperate attempt to land safely, he flipped the capsule, pointy-end down. The docking port and monopropellant tanks weren’t enough, and Bob’s capsule hit the ground at 150 m/s, flattening both Bob and Val. One mistake, made 3 years before their return resulted in another revert to launchpad, only to add 2 radial mount parachutes. (For comedic value, let’s pretend they were the orange ones.)
  2. 1. I was landing on Gilly, so I decelerated, then time-warped until 8,000 meters above sea level. Then I had to activate Phys-Warp. I fell for about one more hour, and at full Phys-warp, it still took me 15 minutes. Even on Minmus and Mun(or Mün), Time-warp stops at 3,000 and 5,000 meters, and their gravity is much stronger so you barely have to wait half a minute in the worst cases before a soft touchdown. So I request that Gilly’s Time-Warp stopper(or whatever fancy word I should use here) is set lower. 2. I was on the map view, and it showed my trajectory cleanly passing all of Gilly’s peaks. However, upon exiting map view: Mountain! -Last word of Bob kerman, on his fatal Gilly expedition If it’s not the case for PC or PS4, I play on Xbox one
  3. Bout this question, I redesigned my F15 and it fixed it’s predecessor’s problems. And yes, the problem was a very far back CoL. Jesus I went full out with the pitch and it turns around in like .5 seconds but then it spins out
  4. These didn’t work, and they’re fine out of physics range. So I just won’t get within 200 meters of them
  5. I made an F15 replica, and made sure the CoL was Behind the CoM, even though they were close to support super-maneuverability. When I turned though, it began to flat spin. I drained the fuel in the SPH, and still the CoL was behind The CoM. Help
  6. I was testing a rover near the desert runway, when I noticed the windmills were floating quite high above their normal spot.
  7. SAS was on to keep them facing towards the planet, the hinges were locked as soon as the solar arms deployed, i’ll try autostruts. Time warp just paused the attack.
  8. I built 3 identical keostationary satellites with moderate part clipping, and robotic hinges to stuff the arms into it’s deployer. I switched to one, and the kraken was unpleased. It started wiggling, quite a lot until time warp was activated. The hinges were no longer 1 piece, and the solar panels were all over the place. How do I put images on mobile?
  9. Yeah the science surface features that you can scan like the small mun rocks
  10. So I just found out you can pick up surface features, but I only have a sandbox save ready, what does picking them up do, exactly?
  11. Y’know what? That sustainer kinda looks like a J2, and the grey variant of the Twitches look like the vernier engines. I’ll try it!
  12. I made an R7 replica to launch a Vostok? Voskhod? Whatever. The KV-1 pod. However, once I reach about 7,000 meters the rocket tips over past the 90 degree vector too early. Upon booster separation, It pitches to the 270 degree vector, and by that time I reverted to VAB
  13. I’d believe you is it wasn’t for two things: 1. Nothing changed about my spacecraft, except location in my orbit. 2. This has never happened to me before
  14. Ah yes, I have the making history DLC, and I have all the making history crafts, and even 3 voskhods!(?)
  15. On Xbox one, Radial preset. I’m attempting my first interplanetary mission to duna, so I stretched my apoapsis to kerbin’s SOI edge, then plotted a 150 m/s burn to intercept Duna. When I engaged time warp, The burn suddenly became 2,768 m/s. I reloaded a quick save, replotted the burn, then when I engaged time-warp the burn became ~1,980 m/s. How do I avoid this? And please don’t say don’t use time warp, the burn is in 38 days.
  16. I accidentally hit the “paint” icon on the mainsail engine, and while clicking through the variants to reset it, I noticed there is a shroud around the “bare” variant. That’s all!
  17. I play on Xbox one using the radial preset. I feel it’s only appropriate to send big orange tanks to space stations with a shuttle or skylon . But, i have yet to make a shuttle on my science save. I throttled up, pressed the staging and it lifted off beautifully. Then the SRBs popped off, taking the hydraulic detachment manifolds with them. Of course, the shuttle didn’t have the TWR to keep going and it plummeted back down into the VAB. I am now watching the srb spin it’s way to the south pole and wonder what just happened. New info: it is only when I start to pitch or yaw to start a gravity turn that the SRBs come off. The main 5 meter tank is a bit wobbly too. Never mind, Never mind! I found they gimbal their way off
  18. That happened to me a lot! The command pod begins to sway back and forth until the kraken devours it. My solution was to strut up the payload, then using interstage nodes, put a stack separator between the payload and CSM, if you are going to dock with it.
  19. I found that a lot of people launched space stations in one launch. I just taught myself how to dock, because i failed to do so during my first mun mission.
  20. Could you share a picture if the craft? That could help diagnose the problem
  21. And this time I’ll use a nuclear engine! But I do have a couple plans to get Bob’s ship home, for the Xbox achievement, lol
  22. Bob launched on top a Venturer 1 rocket, bringing the newest technology we had available. He flew to Eve’s moon, gilly to further our understanding of our solar system. Due to poor calculations, his craft is 50 m/s short of returning to kerbin. He has been in space for 161 days, and his mission was expected to end in 250. Command keeps running “simulations” to try to find an escape root. They thought he could push his ship the extra mile with his RCS, but that ended flinging him further away. Transmitting his data, he paved the way for Gemini 2, which was only supposed to get into orbit, but do to an improved launch vehicle now should have the deltaV to go to eve and back, no transfer window needed!
  23. But there’s 41 of them. Think of it, i haven’t done anything productive, so i’ll just start a new save
  24. I know, I know, I was pushing the game to it’s limits. While playing on Xbox on the radial preset, my ring station was wiggled apart by the kraken. In response, I built the “krakens jaw” and attempted to sacrifice 40, then 20, then 10 kerbals. It was just 8 or 9 Saturn V first stages strutted together with external command seats over the center engines. I continued to fail. So now when i want to launch a rocket, i need to recover the kerbals. Then i can’t do anything, cant close the recovery screen, cant get my cursor, its like the screen is frozen, but i can still see trucks moving up the elevators.
