I was able to transfer jet pack from one craft to another when they were 4 meters away and completed mission this way. It didn't feel like it was suposed to be that way thanks for all your help I might race another playthrough to the point of getting these mission just to see if it is consistent. will let you guys know.

no i'm not using any mods

he never had it in his inventory at all i have replayed the mission about 10 times and same outcome every time. i also have another of the same type of mission going as well and the same thing. neither Kerbals have jet packs in inventories. i also just accepted mission last night and went straight for it. so its not from an older version.

thats what i thought. nah i haven't validated yet. but i did try to push the kerbal in rescue ship so he could grab it with no sucess. lol

I have recently started a new play through and i accepted a couple of rescue kerbal from orbit mission. i rendezvous with wrecked vehicle in orbit and when i take control of it i EVA Kerbal inside but am unable activate his jetpack in order to fly to rescue vehicle. Am i missing something.
