  1. On Linux engine and RCS plumes are still visie through the engine bell/craft body. I have both the latest version of SWE and waterfall installed
  2. It looks like Vibrant Sunsets also removes the details in Eve's clouds and the "suspended dust" effect around Minmus: https://imgur.com/a/uU1LqnR You need to look a bit closer at the Minmus images to tell the difference.
  3. I have the same question too. Used the latest scatterer version, Eve is pale pink with very little details, none of the strands and cirrus clouds on earlier versions. Duna is very purple.
  4. Latest version appears to cause a white bar to appear on probe cores: https://imgur.com/a/iXe55bz I'm on Linux, if that helps.
  5. I tried that…it didn't work. If I leave the Duna folder in Spectra_scatterer in place Scatterer's in-game menu actually doesn't show an option for Duna, but if I delete that file Duna's scatterer options reappear. It appears to me the Duna folder in Spectra_Scatterer is disabling all Scatterer options for that particular planet.
  6. Not sure if this is a bug but I noticed that the docking port Jr, being listed as a cargo part, can't be transferred between modules unless I "trick" open the cargo hold menu by first transferring in another part.
  7. Just wanted to pop in here and say I managed to fix this! @rextable was mostly right, I deleted /GameData/Spectra/Spectra_scatterer/Planets/Duna and atmospheric dust levels went back up again (it also made Duna's Auroras a lot more noticeable). @HafCoJoe If I remember correctly this is similar to a bug on the previous version that gave Duna a white atmosphere. That bug looked like it was being caused by a conflict between Spectra and Scatterer and the solution was to delete Spectra_scatterer. Looks like the conflict might still be there. (entirely unrelated sidenote: can someone point me in the right direction to independently install KSPRC city lights? Installing CKAN seems like a hassle and I haven't been able to find this individual mod.)
  8. It appears that the "dustiness" of Duna has gone down in the new version: http://imgur.com/a/brHeVR8 I'm on Linux. Any fix?
  9. Oh wow that actually worked, I turned those down to Medium and 1024 and I'm getting above 30 now! thanks!
  10. I am running scatterer…but I wouldn't want to disable it since the atmospheric effects are BEAUTIFUL, and lagging is nonexistent as long as I'm in space. The craft only has 46 parts…I've flown this thing all around Kerbin and so far desert biomes have been the only place the game seems to REALLY slow down. I'm guessing this has nothing to do with part count since I have surface experiments in the desert and switching to those also causes lag. (Another interesting observation: I've noticed that the surface of Duna-which I assume implements similar visual effects to Kerbin's deserts-suffers from almost no lag at all.) Is there a way to solve this issue?
  11. Is spectra CPU or GPU-intensive? The visual effects are stunning but it really increases lag compared to stock (especially in desert biomes, where even with a 3600x+5600xt I can only get single-digit FPS numbers)
  12. Indeed I am playing on Linux! I tried your suggestion and it worked! Both Scatterer and Spectra are installed and Duna has a normal-looking atmosphere now.
  13. Just tried that. Surprisingly removing Spectra seems to fix the problem, as soon as I reinstall Spectra Duna's white atmosphere comes back again. Also, an interesting thing I discovered is that removing either Spectra or Scatterer fixes the problem, but when both of them are present in the GameData folder at the same time the bug reappears. Maybe this is caused by some sort of conflict between Spectra and Scatterer?
  14. I have this exact same problem. Unfortunately downloading and reinstalling the latest version of scatterer did not fix it. Apart from this spectra has been literally perfect. Any possible workarounds?
