  1. Okay, time to bring my game up I see. Let's go for 7000ms Onwards and Upwards!!! (or rather, faster and more horizontal ) Let's try ballistic. Which reminds me, I managed to get 7200, while (trying) to get to Laythe a few months back. Pity I didn't screenshot it. (Don't ask about the lander)
  2. Just a quick question. How do you put your badges under your posts?
  3. Yeah, but in this case I will leave it, as it actually helps my aircraft to get off the ground. Unorthodox, but great for my (very) unstable aircraft Thanks for the tip though!
  4. Here is my creation. It isn't very small or light, but the best I could do. Take-off is ..... questionable. It starts off backward at a rate of 10m/s for some reason, clear the runway. Then you throttle up and use the runway as a sort of ramp. It is very sprightly and It can go 250 m/s. Landing is very hard (intact) because of it's tendency to veer left very dramatically. It is made of 1 hex probe core, small circ. intake, mk0 fuel tank, juno engine, 4 small steerable landing gear, 1 Av-r8 winglet and 2 advanced canards. https://imgur.com/a/oGQsHDd
  5. Thanks very much. That small error on my part. I was just getting so hyped that I momentarily forgot.
  6. I managed to do it, by getting the launcher almost into orbit and then blasting all the way. I managed to get to 3800m/s. Launcher used 3 rapiers and pod used vector. I don't know how to upload pictures yet, but I will try anyway.
  7. Hello, At the moment I am making a rather large Space Station. The core module is made up of 4 science modules, and a structural space station creator thingy, with cupola module and 2 storage containers. It is encased in a large 3.75m payload, but when I launch, at around 6000m, it starts wobbling and the spacecraft tips over. The rocket is 57m tall (roughly) but I have made bigger rockets that don't wobble. It seems that the Space station inside the payload it causing it to tip over as it tilts, even when I have secured it with structural space tape. Any thoughts on how to stop this, and why it is happening?
  8. Thank you @JB182. Got the name from the spacecraft that I admire very much. Still have to wait to complete the mission in KSP.
  9. Thank you very much @king of nowhere. I will bear that in mind next time I have a short holiday near Jool. ;)
  10. I think that's a bit unfair on Dres. I visited it 1 month back, and while it didn't seem too exciting, and used a LOT of dv, I visited the Dres Canyon, which I have to admit was pretty cool, especially with Parallax etc. I got there using Nuclear engines plus my Aquila Mk1 Lander which I use for all Kerbal landings. Just put on a bigger rocket and transfer stage. I also had some fun trying to catch the Dreseroids (Asteroids near Dres). Waste of dv, but still enormous fun.
  11. Oh... I just aim for the planet and then when I am there make little changes for encounters. That is what I did for Vall. Jool traj. then circularise orbit, then Vall encounter. As Vall is quite small (I think) it was really hard for me to get an encounter straight away. It also needed 2000 dv for me to circularise, but that just might be because I had 9 fuel tanks and nuclear engines, plus a lander. Do you recommend this approach for smaller moons? I know it takes more dv, but it is a more sure way of doing it, in my experience.
  12. My hardest was a landing on Laythe with Jeb and my Aquila Mk1 Lander. I got into a highly elliptical orbit of Jool, found out my giant communication dish didn't work, and on top of that, I brushed Jool's atmosphere at around 5000 m/s (don't ask how) and 1/2 of my solar panels bought it as well as 1 of my landing legs. I then got to Laythe, on a direct collision course travelling at 7000m/s. Needless to say the 1st attempt went VERY badly. 2nd time, I got into orbit with my nuclear engines still having 4000m/s of dv. I went down and then realised I was landing on the dark side. I could see, had no lights and, even though I aimed for the largest bit of land on Laythe, I splashed down rather hard and it demolished everything except for my capsule, 2 solar panels, 1 fuel tank, and luckily, all my science! Now Jeb has been waiting for 7 years for a rescue mission, which is on its way, ready to collect all of its sweet science. Not exactly sure how I am going to take off again from water, but I will give it my best shot. I hate stranding my Kerbals without sending a rescue mission, I feel really sorry for them.
  13. Great picture. Wishing Ingenuity all the best for future flights
  14. Is it just me, but the Moonship doesn't seem all that stable to land on the Moon. It just seems a bit, well, tall. I understand why, but I would like to know what stops it from falling over if it doesn't land just right so.
  15. Thank you @HebaruSan. It helped. Turns out you have to take out DwarfPlanetsPlus out of its own folder. I am now having fun with these new worlds. Thanks again!
  16. Hello, I have signed up here a few weeks ago and it looks great! Found lots of helpful stuff. I started playing KSP some months ago, and I seem to have got the hang of it. So far I have conquered all the planets (apart from some of the moons of Jool like Pol, Bop). I have also recently mastered the art of docking, and I have created 2 space stations, one (a mini one, for refuelling) in LKO, and a seconds larger science one in an orbit of 700,000m. Also just started my first Mun Station. Fun times ahead! One thing though: propellers. They are driving me mad. I have tried to make them work, but they just end up making the craft spin furiously in 1 direction. Even with 2 counter-rotating props don't work. Any help would be gladly appreciated!
  17. Hello, I am having some trouble with kopernicus. I have installed the latest version 1.11, and I have put the files in the correct place. I have also installed the Dwarf Planet mod. However, the game can't load. It just loads forever. I have the read the help, but it hasn't helped. Please can I have some help? Kind regards
