  1. Just an idea, but a patch to add textures for the bodies in the outer planets mod would be nice.
  2. Am I able to use exponents in Kopernicus config files? It would save a lot of time.
  3. I've noticed that the map view is getting pretty crowded, and it's starting to make inter-planetary flight hard to see.
  4. This looks cool. I also have an idea for a patch for OPM: Make Valor a fifth giant, a sort of Kerbal Planet X if you will. Just an idea.
  5. Dres is... for a lack of a better word, boring. It's just a smaller Mun that orbits the Sun. So I decided to actually give one simple reason to go there: amazing views. Changes provided by mod: Dres no longer orbits the Sun, but is now a moon of Eve. Like most moons, Dres is now tidally locked. Dres now has rings because being another plain old moon is still boring. The rings are inclined nearly 17 degrees to Dres' equator. Science values for Dres have been tweaked to be a little bit higher. Due to the Orbit of Dres now crossing Gilly's stock orbit, Gilly has been moved into a more circular and higher orbit. Gilly is in a 1:4 resonance with Dres now, so Dres orbits 4 times in the time it takes Gilly to orbit once. Eve now rotates nearly 2 times for each time Dres orbits once. Download page Requirements: Kopernicus How to install: Download the zip folder labeled "DresToEve". Unzip the folder. Drag the contents of the unzipped folder to your gamedata folder (This will tell you how to locate it) That should be it, once you start up KSP and go to tracking station view you should see Dres in orbit around Eve.
  6. Noted. One thing that is a pain is that the smaller bodies need stupid precise maneuvers to enter their SOI, which are as low as around 31 kilometers.
  7. Cool. While your at it, revamp Gilly's texture and height map. Gilly is really bland and only reason to go there as of now is either re-fueling or just fun jetpacking around.
  8. My head-canon is that Kerbol (the Sun) is actually a star that has just left the main sequence, and thus is beginning to swell. This explains it's big size compared to it's mass; Kerbol is beginning to die. As a result, Kerbin is soon going to experience not so pleasant temperatures, and then the oceans will boil. On the plus side, Moho will finally have those oceans of lava Kerbals wish it had.
  9. Moho has always been a little boring, and I would visit there a lot more often if it had lakes/oceans of FREAKING LAVA. Unfortunally my searches haven't turned up any mods that add that... and I also have no idea how to modify Moho myself to give it lava oceans. Anyone know of any mods that add this?
  10. Amazing. That is all I can say. PS. Think the mod files are missing their folder inside the "gamedata" folder.
  11. I can actually confirm this, SVE works fine in the latest version of KSP, currently use it.
  12. True. But computers can only handle numbers so big before they begin to break down.
  13. True. Hopefully thrusting under warp will help with using ion engines in KSP2. Only thing I can see might cause some problems is that fact that the SOI of Kerbol is infinite as of now. Wouldn't that mess stuff up?
  14. There is just one problem I feel: 100k timewarp is not fast enough. I play with OPM, and I've sent a mission to Plock only once. That took ages at max time warp, waited about 15 - 19 minutes for the ship to finally get there. There are a few mods that allow faster warps, perhaps that should be allowed once you get to about the distance of Jool?
  15. If the nearest star system is 5000 times farther away from the Sun than Jool is, that's a semi-major axis of about 343,867,801,600 kilometers. To put that in perspective, the distance to the Heliosphere in our own Solar system is only about 18 billion kilometers. Even at a scale of 1/10 the distances are absolutely huge.
  16. With some testing, I can also confirm this does work for the latest version of KSP just fine.
