  1. Perhaps a mystery goo report could be something like, "As you observe the Goo reacting to the crushing gravity, you begin to fear that you may also become goo if you stay here much longer."
  2. In KSP 1, there are two menu screens that can show up. There's the Kerbals orbiting Kerbin, and the crashed ship on the Mun. In KSP 2, it might be cool to see some more variety/different screens, such as: the game opens with a ship (or station, or kerbal, etc.) orbiting Kerbin at sunrise, similar to that first shot of the KSP 2 trailer. The twist, though, would be that as you get to and explore more planets and moons, the game remembers, and the menu screen has a chance to show another random body you've visited (i.e. you go to the Mun for the first time, and now there's a 50/50 chance of the ship orbiting Kerbin or the Mun when the menu screen starts). But that's just my idea, what are your thoughts/suggestions?
  3. The good news is, there hasn't been a single (announced) delay in over 10 months! To contrast, there were delays every 3-6 months through 2019 and 2020, so it seems like they have a release timeframe that works and a good handle on what they're doing.
  4. Something underwhelming/funny, like Inadequacy, or Good Luck. Also one needs to be named Rocinante.
  5. He didn't say to what degree things will need to be unlocked (to my knowledge); it could be just referring to, say, needing an orbital colony to build some massive engine since it won't even fit in the KSC VAB.
  6. There have been Kerbals running around the colony parts for most of their colony-related show and tells, so I wouldn't write it off. Of course, those could just be placed there specifically for that test scene, etc., etc., but it seems plausible!
  7. I mean, they showed that Kerbal dancing in the one show and tell video, so I think emotes of some kind are definitely coming.
  8. I think Scott Manley also mentioned axial tilt in an old(ish) video? I could be wrong though, and I don't know where he got it from.
  9. Assuming you have a PS5, you can search for KSP on the PS store, and a few different things should pop up. There should be both a PS4 version and a PS5 version showing up separately among the results, each version marked by a little icon for the platform. If you purchased the PS4 version on your current account, the version marked for the PS5 should pop up as free. If you got the PS4 version on a different account (i.e. a parent account on that console), you'll have to switch back to that account to get the PS5 version for free. Then you should be able to download and play it.
  10. I believe it is a 2.5 meter part, so Rockomax scale (Size 2, I guess).
  11. Ah yeah, I understand now. In that case, maybe nozzle functionality is separate from fuel usage or something, but at the end of the day, yeah, it's a game.
  12. I think you can still run either mode anywhere; high-thrust mode is just more tailored to atmospheric flight, so the nozzle shortens.
  13. Yeah, I could see returning video/audio from flights giving a reputation boost to mission completion, rather than science. Then again, we don't even know if the reputation system will be returning, soo... That said, I do like the idea of there being camera parts in the game, even if it's just for the player's sake.
  14. Professional AAA games can have in the range of 20-30 songs in the soundtrack; for contrast, KSP 1 only had like 3. We don't know the exact amount of celestial bodies that will be in the game, but I don't think planet-specific soundtracks are too out there. That said, variable versions of the same few tracks based on location, as you suggested, could also help give some variety to the game.
  15. I could see a campaign mode working in the style of Subnautica or Outer Wilds, where you uncover the story as you play, but it never pushes you through anything. That said, the devs haven't really said anything regarding the existence of a story mode, so it's basically a complete unknown at this point.
  16. This would be great for multiplayer! i.e. you build a satellite and contract a friend to launch it for you, that sort of thing.
  17. -A launch escape tower for 0.625 meter parts, so we can put it on the Mk. 1 capsule. -Having the ability to change suits and put down the golden visor brought over from KSP 1. -Rogue planet/asteroid that flies around between the gravity fields of a few stars, in a specific cycling path.
  18. I could imagine being able to class your ships as "Outpost" or something similar, and then once you expand it enough (i.e. build a colony VAB, do ISRU stuff, etc.) the designation automatically changes to "Colony".
  19. Looks super interesting! Exhaust effects are one of the things I've been excited to see more of!
  20. They did post on their Twitter just recently, I think it's a dev diary this week. For whatever reason, the link doesn't work yet (and also the post isn't up over here), but it's supposed to be about engine exhausts.
