  1. @TwoCalories I’m afraid I can’t reserve a spot for you in the submissions. I’m only doing it for SkyFall because I felt bad about rejecting his spacecraft submission. Speaking of which… @SkyFall2489 We will have to reconsider your offer. This fully reusable spacecraft is something that will come in handy for space station construction. As for the module weight, I’d say between 10-15 tons? I’d have double check that.
  2. I’m sorry, but they’re not open anymore. At the moment, Beyond doesn’t have much demand for a private space shuttle as the Libra Orbit exists as well as the current WIP shuttle program. However, you have given me a very good idea… if you’d like to submit something, I’ll pick it first. —————————————— YEAR 3, DAY 209 - CALLING ALL BUSINESSES Kerman Station is an ever expanding outpost in space right now, with the first tourist flights flying up now. But one thing tourists want is luxury, which the standard module doesn’t have. And Beyond’s scientists and engineers aboard Kerman Station would like to work without people constantly getting in the way. So we ask various private space agencies to submit their own space station modules to launch up to Kerman Station. Modules must be able to support at least 3 Kerbals. You have the choice between a habitat and laboratory module. But act fast! Only four modules can be launched! How to Send in your Module - Share your space program’s name - Share you program’s flag - Share a link to you Module on KerbalX
  3. I recently discovered Sovietwave, and instantly when digging deeper into the genre. This song in particular has been stuck in my, called Faster than Light by Be Smooth. This song and many others have been good background tracks in school, while studying, and while playing KSP. And the ones with lyrics aren’t distracting, because I don’t understand Russian!
  4. Happy birthday, man. Sorry you’re going through such a hard time right now. I’m sure many people have already said this to you, but remember: there’s always a light at the end if the tunnel.
  5. YEAR 3, DAY 308 - DAREDEVIL 1 The might Eve II once again finds itself on the launchpad, perhaps the most successful rocket Beyond has ever flown. On it is the Open-Air Re-Entry Vehicle (OAREV), nicknamed "Daredevil 1". Daredevil 1 is the magnificent marvel of modern engineering that will bring Felix Kerman back to Kerbin on his "jump" from space. The spacecraft and jump themselves are sponsored the world famous (and highly unhealthy) Kerb-Bull Energy Drink. The launch from Cape Kerman tonight is fairly unremarkable though. Several missions have already left for and docked to Kerman Station. There really isn't much else to say, is there. Launch Sequence Once in orbit, preparations begin for docking. The crew aboard Kerman Station begin preparing the docking port on the avionics module, while ground teams set up its rendezvous maneuver. Standard stuff, really. And there we go! Everything is now in place for Libra 4, and its historic mission!
  6. I worked on this in class today. It’s depiction of the Soviet LK-1 lander on the Moon, the piece appropriately named “Red Moon”. Originally I was just trying to draw the lander from reference for a Soviet art series I wanted to draw, but one thing led to another. Next thing you know I have drawn a whole background. I apologize that the image is in such low quality.
  7. I had a dream last night where I was reading a comments section and all of the comments were Ohio. The worst part is that later that morning I couldn’t tell if it was a dream or not.
  8. I haven’t, KOS is confusing. I’ll have to write done your directions. Thanks! I tried basing it off if your PFP, and for some reason, that one really stuck out. Yeah, I now just have to wait for the next transfer window for the next big Duna mission(s). Unfortunately, it’s 200 days. A lot of waiting.
  9. YEAR 3, DAY 304 - EXPLORER 2 For the past year or so, interplanetary exploration has been at the back of everyone's minds. Crewed exploration of space has been advancing so rapidly recently, with Kerman Station capable of sustaining a permanent Kerbal presence in space, and the Aurora Program carrying Kerbals back to deep space. But exploration of the planets is important. Explorer 2's goal will not be to orbit Duna, but its mysterious moon Ike. Ike itself is strange, as its size is very large relative to Duna. Data from Explorer 1 shows that Ike covers vast swaths of the surface during every Kerbolar Eclipse. We need to understand Ike, as it may be the key for landing Kerbals on Duna. Liftoff! Stage 2 ignition Orbital insertion burn Once in orbit, the Explorer 2 team prepare for the burn to Ike. Because Ike's SOI is so big, we ca get an encounter of it from Kerbin orbit AND get there within less than 200 days. After 1 orbit of Kerbin, we fire our engines for the Duna system. TDI burn Explorer 2 begins its journey to Ike, where it's due to arrive in about 196 days.
  10. The legend returns. But seriously, this looks awesome! I look forward to what you do with it, considering there's not many records of the Jupiter DIRECT to base this off of.
  11. YEAR 3, DAY 292 - FIRST LIBRA ORBIT SPACE TOURIST REVEALED! Kerbalsaurus Kerman (Left), Felix Kerman (Middle), and @fulgur Kerman (Right) After a long time of consideration, the first tourist to ride in Jeb's Junkyard's Libra Orbit has been decided! And who's the lucky (and rich) Kerbal? Why, it's Felix Kerman of course! The world famous daredevil! He's proposed an idea: a jump into Kerbin's atmosphere from orbit. At first this idea was dismissed as crazy talk. No space suit can survive such conditions. That was, until a new design was proposed. It's cheap, but could work. By strapping parachutes and stainless-steel beams onto a massive heatshield, our engineers were able to create the world's very first open-air spacecraft! This spacecraft is like no other, and very dangerous, but Felix has said he's up for the challenge. Going up with him will be his coach and trainer, who sadly couldn't make it to this press conference. Congratulations to Felix and @fulgur Kerman for their contributions to Beyond and Kerbalkind!
  12. Most likely. If not, I'm afraid I'm completely incompetent to help.
  13. Oh, I've encountered that before. I can't pinpoint the exact issue (I know nothing about computers), but restarting your game fixes it.
  14. N -75! @AtomicTech what are we doing for the winning number? NEGATIVES WIN! Game Rules. These are the game rules. As per instructions from the moderators. There is to be no role play elements to the battle. Simple exclamations that we are getting ahead or falling behind, or saying you need help are fine, but no suggestion that you are part of an army or fantasy faction in some epic confrontation. It is more or less attempting to reach a goal line and passing to another with the same goal or getting intercepted by someone going the other way. There is a term used in the forums called "Being Ninja'd". Basically if while you are typing your post someone else posts a move and you don't see it till you have refreshed your page. This then causes you to have to edit your post to correct for the new number. It is then not unheard of for someone to post before you have had a chance to edit your post and so a cascade effect happens. To make clear your original intent in the hopes of lessening this, These are the rules for posting as follows. When posting please preface your number by one of 4 letters. P if you are trying to get the score to +70 N if you are trying to get the score to -70 Z if your goal is to get the score to zero C if you are chaotic and just post as you feel, but your number must only be 1 different from the last post put. The addition of the number 1 or the subtraction of the number 1. By doing this a player can see what you intended to put and post knowing what it would be if you had not been ninja'd. There is a 5 minute rule for individual number posts done by you, this is to minimize spam and ninja posting. To post a new number post, there are 4 rules that must be followed for it to be considered valid. To make a valid number post, 1: Your previous post must say it was made 5 minutes or greater before your current. 2: Any other player must have posted a number post between your last post and your new post. 3: Your post must be only 1 number different from the last post. Clarification: The number must be the whole number known as 1, spelt One. Either the addition of 1 or the subtraction of 1. 4: Your number must have a preface letter. All new games must start with a "0" . If you posted the winning post, be it +75 or -75 , then it is asked that you copy this post into a new post and update the tally so that this is at the beginning of a new game. Tally of Wins positives 15 negatives 10
