  1. Bizarre thing happened... AGAIN! On my descend, the true height of my spacecraft first shows that I approached the volcano's top. But once I reached 11km, the true height suddenly boosted, show that the volcano Disappeared and the height of terrain dropped for 6KM! What?????
  2. WOOOOOOOO!!!! Thanks for choosing my topic!! (plus. doing these missions is a great torture to my eyes) And congrats to everyone!! What's that?
  3. According to my researches about the ksp ancient version, I found a terrible theory: The kerbal's future can be seen from the older versions. First the kerbals started their program. (1.12) The space program really helped their technology develop, but it also brings kerbin terrible pollutions. Kerbals soon stopped taking their helmets off, banned fireworks.(1.11, 1.8) Kerbals in space became weaker and weaker, so they can no longer do constructions.(1.10) The space program might damaged their economy, so parts manufactory reduced their parts types. Fancy colors turn into dirty dull color. (1.4) Suddenly one day the KSC was destroyed for an unknown reason, the kerbals can no longer design new Ksc so they just simply copied the inland KSC. A cult formed between the Kerbals, their name started to repeat after the died ones.(0.2x) War or disasters spread across Kerbin due to climate change and the KSC was deserted for a long time. Kerbin turned yellower due to the death of plants. After an even longer time, the Kerbals finally restated their project. They no longer produce the older types of parts, use unpainted parts instead. Sun started to aging, heating Moho up and then asteroids hit Moho, totally changed its appearance, Volcanic activities restarted. The Kerbals lost the tracking of Dres, Eeloo and Pol.(0.17) However the new space program didn't last long. Something more terrible ruined it again, with the kerbal's civilization. Kerbals immediately lose their tracking of everything outside kerbin's soi. The Kerbals stopped doing EVA due to the terrible space environment caused by the aging sun.(0.16, 0.15) Minmus vaporized , turned into a comet and soon destroyed.(0.14) Kerbin's terrain decayed, ice caps melted, Kerbals hide into the VAB due to growing radiation. The population of kerbal decreased rapidly(0.13.3) Parts are no longer produced, but found lying by the side of the road. All kerbals now hiding inside ksc, Formed a small society. They are doomed. All of them started to believe that the space is the Heaven, starting to launching themselves into the space with their fragile junk crafts, naming themselves Jeb, Bill and Bob, locking themselves into a small capsule with no return: They can't even tracking the launched crafts anymore! (0.12) The number of kerbals is still decreasing due to their suicidal launch. The battery and computers inside the command pods malfunctioned due to solar storm, the launched crafts can no longer view its orbit(0.11) At the final age, 0.7.3, only a few Kerbals left, Kerbin lose its most atmosphere. The last kerbals have only one thought in their mind: Launching spacecrafts, with their lacking parts. They lose the fuel flowing technology so stacking fuel tanks no longer give engine more fuel. With the last kerbals rose into the space with no return, Kerbals extincted, kerbal's space program reached an ending.
  4. Something looks like a volcano. I did an orbital scan with mechjeb, showed me some crazy readings up to 10 km!!
  5. Much more bizarre things happened. The mountain vanished. I can no longer hit it... I edited my save file... and YAY! I saw somthing...
  6. I tossed a spacecraft onto the said coordinate, and it smashed into a 8100m high mountain. Sadly the mountain's coordinate is forgotten...
  7. I first put this height map in a program called Celestia. The program showed me the dark side volcano's coordinate. 17.5N 317W
  8. I will first intraduct Moho in 0.17. Radius 250km, Gravity 3m/s^2, Have thin atmosphere (27500m high, drag starts at 14500m, Max temp 3000) Highest point 12500m(4°30‘S, 139°46'W), a very small piece of plateau on the Sunside volcano. And most of the places are basin and steep ridges, under 5000m. These are "Dead zone". Insane temperature will even burn fuel tanks and landing legs up. Everything make moho the Hardest object to land on. Also, it's back side never get sunshine and is totally dark, so I cannot see it clearly. To prove the volcano's existence, the only way is to land on it.
  9. Moho, a scorched wasteland, once was tidal-locked with the Sun and have NO daynight cycle. That caused that moho have a totally dark half, which is TOTALLY unknown for me. I once thought that Moho in 0.17 's backside is a dull dark heated plateau, but one small picture SHOCKED my mind...... When I was fetching for a ISAmapsat plugin, I suddenly thought that I could find it at the KSPwiki 10 yrs ago. With the help of Archive.org, I found the 0.17 moho article in it, there I found an outdated picture, original file lost and only a small picture survived. To my surprise there are TWO volcanoes instead of one. The side one is the one I landed, in eternal sunshine. And the middle one? It must be in the eternal dark. This must be the reason that i haven't noticed it in such a long time. Even the normal map of moho have only one volcano! So. It's time to uncover the darkest mystery in the kerbal universe. Mt. SCORCHSHADE (my moho landing&return record)
  10. Part8:Summary Total Kerbals killed:10(failure 8 and rescuer kickoff 2) Difficulties: Transfer Laythe lander parachute deployment (easily torn off) Moho landing(Overheat) Kerbal krew transfer(rendzvous) Hours spend: 7 hours(on game) 4 hours(making video documents)
  11. gosh, Oh gosh I found another huge volcano just like that one at the sunny side of Moho!!!! However it's on the back side and is nearly invisible
  12. Anyway I Landed on it. Picture available on ksp wiki Moho article!
  13. Part7 Kerbin return(Final) The Rescuer soon ejected from moho soi and rose its apoapsis to kerbin. When the Rescuer reached the ascending node at apoapsis ,it killed its incline with kerbin, entered a precapture orbit with a period of 0.55 kerbin years. Use the phase angle to calculate Kerbin transfer. (Phase angle÷360°)x106.5+(106.5/2)=Proper Transfer orbit period(Days) Successfully finished world #1 Moho return!
  14. Of course Eve and 0.17Moho. Eve is rlly hare to leave and 0.17 Moho is both hard to land and hard to reach!
  15. Landing is ez but hard to return(Land 200 tons of parts and preventing them from disassembly)
  16. Part6:Rescuer-Lander rendezvous Due to the rescuer's orbit the rendezvous took a lot of rounds of orbit. The Lander approached the Rescuer. Pilot bailed out.
  17. Good I copied a Scott manley's craft. It can enter stable orbit around eve. However I can't make it to eve without save file edit.
  18. Exiled totally 5 Kerbals near moho and Laythe due to 5 Return missions.
  19. Part5: Rescuer Moho transfer& Lander ascent Due to Rescuer's poor twr, the Moho periapsis align burn was separated into 3 periapsis kicks. Then after the same sequences the rescuer had been inserted into a high elliptical orbit, in order to save fuel. https://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/images/e/e3/微信图片_20221215181612.png After few days of waiting, Rescuer orbit moved above the lander. Due to Moho's poor rotation speed launching to prograde direction won't help much.Launching to any direction won't make much difference. So i just simply launch it toward North-east, Quickly align incline and periapsis.
  20. World Cup? What's that? A wine-brewing competition? (plus gargamel finally changed his avatar)
  21. Part4: Rescuer launch Cherish fuel as gold Gravity turning is necessary, the rescuer is still powered by 6 NERVs but it carried much more fuel. Lacking on twr.
