    I'm chronicling my Kerbonauts' voyage from Kerbin to the Mun in a Facebook album. I also post funny stuff that 0.13.3 does from time to time.

    So far, KSP has helped me instill a sense of cause and effect in my children and makes my son stare in awe at the vastness of space. Between that and the sheer entertainment value of the game, I'll be shouting KSP from the mountaintops for a long time to come. :)

  2. As for bases, not formally no. You can land an active flight there and call it a base, but it's technically just another ship that happens to be landed. There's not hint special about it saying "this a new ground base and not a "flight").

    Well... Bugger! Any Dev input about the possibility in the future?

  3. Lmao. So apparently over the past few days I had a total brain-fart and forgot that I'm on a Unix-like system (meaning, not Windows, meaning life isn't terrible), OS X.

    Mac OS, including OSX isn't "Unix-like" It IS UNIX. Just like MS Windows grew from DOS, MAC OS grew from Unix. The only viable alternative to these two giants of Software families is teh Linux Software family. Very similar to Unix in the Command Line, but the Guis range from Unix-Like, to Windows-Like, to completely unique.

    Now. On topic, has anyone considered building bases on Kerbin and beyond? By landing somewhere, one can claim something. By staying on something, one can KEEP it. I don't honestly know if v 0.17 will support bases because I'm temporarily stuck with only 0.13.3. (Come on, cash flow.) But, if it does, it'd be awesome to build some cities so that the Kerbals would have more of a presence on their world than just the KSC.

  5. Being stuck with the free demo that is v0.13.3, I'v had an interesting time finding compatible mods. I figure that I can't be the only one in the same predicament. So I decided to build a repository of mods for the demo. If anyone has any additions, feel free to post them.

    Here they are. All the Mods that I have found so far for KSP v0.13.3 I'll update this post whenever I find more. At some point, I'll even make it all pretty.

  6. Unfortunately, something got corrupted in my Parts folder. This caused the KSP application to hang on loading at a part that didn't exist to delete. So. I'm re-downloading 0.13.3 and re-modding it. Good news is that I bookmarked all the mods as I found them again. :) Phase 1 of the Mod repository is now complete.

  8. I would love to see an MMO KSP with all the mods... Think of it. Everyone starting from their own solar system, naming their own planets, finding their way to other solar systems, blasting the crap out of each other in interstellar space... It would be beautiful! All that seems to be missing is an FTL drive for interstellar missions.

    I'm thinking about building a 0.13 mod repository for those that can't yet spend money on it. If I have time, I'll start bookmarking stuff tomorrow afternoon and should have a tentative repository by next weekend. :)

  10. I screwed up and lost all but the last two stages. So the question is moot. But I can at least tell you why it's taking you to the capsule selection. It's using a bunch of mod parts. Does the same thing to me if I try to open a .craft with parts from a mod I don't have. Also... How do I zoom out in the VAB? I've been trying to figure it out for DAYS.

  11. I am Commanding General Gray Death of the Cursed Legion Mercenary company. (Nifty thing. When you found a Merc unit, you can give yourself any rank you want. :] lol) I am still very new to Kerbal Space Program. I'm still working on finding my "groove" with the design theory. I registered when I first tried KSP. (When the current version was 0.14) But I had some serious issues getting a computer that would run it. I just got a new Desktop a few days ago. I downloaded KSP 0.13 before I even installed my AV programs. Yes. I'm a bit obsessive. For now, I'll just have to apologize for any posts requesting mods for 0.13. That's all I have at the moment. The KSP Dev team have made a physics engine that would do NASA proud. That alone makes them worthy of great respect. So much so that, in fact, I refuse to pirate their work. I'll be buying the latest release eventually. Just have to get a bit more solvent first. Also, to those that are making military vessels... I'll be trying to recruit you to help take over the galaxy eventually. ;) Until then... Let's build some ridiculous rockets!

  12. I used the Thunderbird Fuel tank. Yes. The infinite one. Just to make sure I had the fuel gor it. I'll eventually crunch the numbers to figure out what it'll actually take to do it. I used the small vernier Liquid fueled Thrusters and the basic landing lege. lol I haven't tried it with all stock parts yet.
