  1. KSP2's color system is very useful for building ISAS rockets. However, some improvements are possible. First of all, when I want to separate the colors of the rocket and payload, or when I want to paint the battery in monochrome, I think, ``I wish I could save more colors.'' I think it would be nice to have a palette. To save colors. Color used. You can't paint a complex rocket in just two space agency theme colors. The new feature I would like to propose is the "Surface Detail Function." Rocket surfaces vary. Default plastic toy-like SRB motor case. We sprayed insulation on Shuttle ET. Ariane 5 looks like a brick. Metal Starship and satellite MLI. I would like to be able to select these details individually for each part. (I'm sure many people would like to recreate the orange color of the shuttle even if it uses methane fuel.) Please let me know your opinions as well!
  2. I'm looking forward to seeing science in KSP2. On the other hand, there are some concerns. I think that kit bashing is hindered by the fact that the implemented parts are turned into assets. Cassini, which was built using the new magnetometer assets, is great, but the problem is that it can only be built. Separate parts for the boom are also required. The same goes for other observation equipment. I loved doing the very small sample return mission on KSP1 using an XS parachute with just a thermometer, barometer, graviton detector (or seismometer in the case of the lander) and a heat shield. (Would it be a better solution if OKTO2 had a data storage function?) Finally, scientific missions are always in a battle against budget, so creative deployment mechanisms are essential. Breaking ground is required!
  3. I love these ideas. More importantly, it would be nice to be able to adjust the elasticity so that it can be used on USSR's Luna series and Starliner spacecraft. I also agree about the rope . I used space tape to connect the rover-skycrane on KSP1 but that was fixed.
  4. Where are my favorite thoroughbred solid fuel rockets? The Shrimps are gone too. The engine plate is there, but neither the terrier nor the skipper can remove the cover. I miss the cool one-nozzle-ESA edition of the Poodle. Also, the RCS in KSP1 was improved in the later updates but that has not carried over to 2. I hope almost all parts and variations will be carried over. PS. of course the DLC's too!
  5. The 1.875m standard may not be important for interstellar flight, but it is important for scientific exploration and historical follow-up. Of course, Breaking Ground should not be forgotten.
  6. Yes, airbags help you get back in kerbin. Adding a float is also a good idea. I also want to have 3 spherical floats radially arranged on the mk3 command pod.
  7. I would like to see these parts below in addition to ones that were already existing on KSP1. Science A telescope with a variety of wavelengths would be great. So we could earn the science point and also earn the images of the astro-areas which indicated by the navball. Visible light telescopes (Hubble-like) X-ray telescope (like XRISM or ASTRO-D) Infrared telescopes (like JWST) We need an exoplanet search telescope like Kepler or TESS! This would combine the main elements of the traditional KSP and 2. Exoplanet search telescope A sample catcher (a device that would allow a probe to collect surface samples of a planet. As a probe fanatic, I would like to see a method that does not rely on Kerbals! I would like to see it implemented by choosing from the corer method used in MMX or the gas vacuum cleaner method used in Osiris Rex. There should be a greater gap on earning science points between Recover and Transmission to emphasis the features of the sample return.) Landing technology Airbags (traditional EDL technology used on Opportunity & Spirit, Luna 9, and more recently OMOTENASHI (sorry it didn't work out). This technology is not suitable for large spacecraft. It should be made to break under large weight.) Power+α The new retractable paddles were great, but we need a wider variety of solar panels. Cross paddles like PHYCHE and JUICE. Vertical medium sized paddles like MMX and World View 3.(We also need a mechanism to fix the angle of the paddles.) And at last, we need a solar-powered sail like the IKAROS or OKEANOS! A solar-powered sail will receive sunlight and generate huge amounts of power while producing a small (but tremendous) amount of delta-v! This is a technology that could be used for interstellar flight. Please let me know what parts you guys want too.
