  1. The Hockleed Tarmin SR-17 The pinnacle of speed and comfort. Combining days of experience and hours of research, Hockleed Tarmin have revolutionized the flight industry. If you like to go high, the SR-17 can take you over 15,000 meters high in style and comfort. Pushed to the limits¹, this thing can fly as high as 25,000 meters, but you're not ready for that glory. Just hit the gas and pick a direction. Ride the flaps and control The Rollᵀᴹ. You don't need to turn. Infact we don't recommend it.² ¹ Limits not fully tested. User assumes risk. ² We meet or exceed all minimum flight safety standards for turning capabilities. Set by us. Safety? Who needs safety when you've got speed. We've spent tireless hours and used dozens of pilots testin' this puppy. The only thing you're gonna need is that seat belt to keep you strapped in while you outrun missiles.³ Some of the best engineers on Kerbin designed the best parts.⁴ And we used them. That's why the SR stands for Safety and Reliability.⁵ And Flames.⁶ ³ Restrictions apply. ⁴ Subjective. ⁵ It doesn't really, it just sounded cool to say. ⁶ Did we mention flames? Fuel won't be an issue, with the ability to fly anywhere on the planet from where you take off.⁷ This bad mammer jammer can blow your socks off for over half an hour of maximum effort, fuel guzzling, mach 4 flight. Flames. ⁷ Ranges may vary. Return flight not guaranteed.⁸ ⁸ Nothing is guaranteed. Disclaimer: Not all claims made in this brochure are true. NO GUARANTEES. Not heat tested. Warranty VOID on flight. Good Luck! Get it Here
  2. Reading up on the origins of KSP, the creator and his brother would build rockets out of fireworks and attach tinfoil men to them. That inspired KSP. I always heard stories from my parents about strapping frogs to fireworks (The 1970s and 80s were quite the times). So that has stuck in my head, that I am pretty much strapping frog-men in a nice rocket or plane and sending them off with dignity and respect. To their ultimate demise Plus Kerbal just feels like a frog name to me.
  3. Wouldn't that be something lol. I would enjoy seeing how that would play out. I've seen strange color anomalies while zooming out from the flag at KSC, like color or lighting has issues when scaling or something along those lines. I've chased those lights in the desert and mountains as well, but no results. They can outrun mach 4 lol.
  4. Very interesting! I like that you added the second cockpit, small detail I almost missed! I'm gonna check it out when I get the chance to. Do you have any more info? Top speed, how it handles, any quirks? Would love to hear more.

    Story

Yeah, I wouldn't mind having more local things to see. Even unique natural wonders scattered across planets would suffice for me. Flying around Kerbin is fun, and setting my planes up and fiddling with settings and design for optimal flight has kept me entertained, but having a purpose for flying around and exploring at least some celestial bodies would be nice. But I'm excited to see what we have in store for us in the future. Modders could potentially do this sort of thing later, I hope!
  6. Yeah, friction is more like making the tires out of plastic at 0, or softer rubber the higher you go. It adjust the ability to steer, brake, and accelerate if the tire has a motor. Even at zero I still get some pull here or there. And I have to set friction at every flight launch. I basically have a pre-flight checklist I run through.
