  1. I really hope they fix the issue with Mun landers falling through the surface of you time warp. Everytime I time warp with my lander on the Mun, then return to normal speed, my lander will either fall through the surface or it will suddenly appears way above the surface. Anyone else experience this?
  2. Reported Version: v0.2.1 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Win 11 | CPU: 12900k | GPU: 3090ti | RAM: 32gigs 5600Mhz DDR5 I have discovered something interesting. A possible bug. Maybe. I’m unsure. I’m noticing two different outcomes when pressing spacebar to do my next stage (decoupling in this scenario) vs manually pressing the part and clicking decouple. I’m going to share 2 videos. The first video is when I’m pressing the spacebar to decouple with the next stage. Notice the smooth transition of the decouple. The vessel moves straight away from the other one. As it should. The 2nd video is manually clicking the part and then clicking decouple. Notice the awkward transition? It’s decoupling and moving away at an angle. It’s not moving straight away as it did when I clicked spacebar. I’ve repeated this multiple times over and over. Same result everytime. Now this had me thinking, could this be related to the inconsistency of undocking? Undocking has been one of my biggest pet peeves in this game since launch. Sometimes it works great, like in the first video. And sometimes the vessels disconnects and moves away at a weird angle as shown in the 2nd video. Undocking is done by clicking the part and then clicking on “undock” just as I did in the 2nd video, but with decoupling instead. Is there some kind of bug with manually clicking on a part to do an action like that versus using the spacebar to trigger the next stage? 3. I just wanted to point out that this is still an issue/bug in the current most up to date verison of the game. I hope this gets fixed soon.
  4. I hope devs see this and get this bug fixed soon. I’ve been having issues with docking for many months now.
  5. I stopped playing this game a few months ago because of this one specific issue. It was unbelievably frustrating when I can’t dock due to whatever bug this is. I just tried playing again today thinking surely this has been fixed after 4-5 months. And it’s not… This is a huge bummer. I really hope the devs are aware of this issue. I really don’t understand why this hasn’t been fixed yet. I love this game and I thank the devs for creating this, but my god… it’s such a downer when a bug like this hasn’t been fixed yet. I guess I’ll check back again in a couple months. Sorry if I sound rude, I’m just really upset and frustrated.
  6. Performance has definitely come a long ways since the early access launch. I’m very happy for that. Thank you devs. Now it’s just some of the annoying bugs I hope get squashed soon. Specifically the bugs with docking. I’ve been having issues with docking since day 1. The most annoying one is when I undock a vessel from another vessel, there’s always a high chance that it will blast away from it and at an angle all weirdly. Sometimes out of control and spinning. Instead of a smooth decoupled motion moving in the opposite direction. I hope this gets fixed soon. This is the main reason I’ve stopped playing for a while. It was getting too frustrating for me.
  7. I REALLY hope docking/undocking physics gets improved soon. This is the number 1 biggest issue for me personally and the reason I’ve stopped playing a couple months ago. Undocking a vessel and having it blast off at an angle all weirdly or causing the other vessel to move out of control in a strange behavior is a huge bummer. Once this is fixed I will definitely jump back into the game.
  8. I’m a little bummed that docking physics is STILL not on the list of things needed to be fixed.. : ( especially since this has been an issue since launch.. about 8 months or so ago. I have reported this issue as a bug here on the forums before. I’ve seen others talk about it on discord. I’ve seen Matt Lowe himself mention it a couple times now on his videos on YouTube. . So I’m confused as to why this isn’t being worked on. This is a major issue that’s preventing me, and likely many others from enjoying the game. Can a dev please reply to this so I know that it’s at least known and if there will be any sort of fix for this soon? I really want to enjoy this game but the docking and undocking is very unstable and has been since the beginning of this games early access launch. Just this morning I was trying to do a mun mission and when I undocked my Lander from my other vessel it blasted it away, up at an angle. Rather than a smooth disconnect and slowly moving away as it should. And recently I was not even able to dock with my other vessel at all. It would just bounce right off the other vessel and would not dock at all. The dock part was previously connected to a decouple, which apparently breaks the docking physics once that’s disconnected.
  9. I’m a little bummed that docking issues aren’t up high on this list… let alone on this list at all
  10. That’s good to know! I really hope they improve it soon.
  11. Can’t wait! Also.. where are you getting these awesome screenshots from? I saw you posted in another thread some cool work in progress images as well.
  12. Hey everyone. I haven’t been keeping up with the game much lately. I’ve been busy with work the past few months. Only having time to play KSP2 once in awhile. My biggest frustration since launch has been docking…. I know it was improved a little shorty after launch. But ever since than I don’t think anything has changed much/improved further. I’m still having a lot of issues with undocking. Vessels being undocked will suddenly jolt away, at an angle rather than a smooth disconnect and float away slowly as they should. Docking ports not working at all after being connected to a decoupler. (I think this is a confirmed bug). Undocking from my space station causing it to suddenly burst apart. Stuff like that. Docking is important for the gameplay loops I personally enjoy in the game. And having them not working properly is a huge bummer. With that said, guess my question for anyone who knows… is there any plans to improve this soon? I know the science update is coming next month and I REALLY hope that docking will be fixed, can any devs confirm if that’s a possibility?
  13. Oh wow. Yup. That’s exactly it. I had a decoupler on my final stage that attaches directly to the docking port below on top of the lander. So according to Anth, that will break the dock port. Interesting. I’ll have to find a work around for this for now. I hope this is fixed soon.
  14. Docking still has issues. This is a bummer man. I’m trying to dock 2 vessels. And they just bounce off each other. Ughhh
  15. I’ve noticed this as well and have been able to replicate this easily.
  16. Reported Version: v0.1.5 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Win 11 | CPU: 12900k | GPU: 3090Ti | RAM: 32gigs DDR5 5600mhz Man… I was really hoping after this latest update that docking would be improved. But it hasn’t. I’m still having issues with docking. I launched a rocket with a lander I plan to bring to the Mun. Testing it in Kerbin orbit first. I’m trying to do my own little version of the Apollo 11 mission. Once I undock my last stage, flip it around and dock with the lander module, it works. But if I undock it then try to dock with it again.. the vessels just bounce off each other. (I’m doing this because once I get to the Mun, I have to undock the lander so I can go land, but then I’ll need to come back up and dock with the final stage again) Included Attachments: IMG_0576.mov Spicat Edit: Further information posted in a non-bug report thread: Link to Message
  17. After doing alot of testing with different changes I narrowed it down to an issue with the fearing. For some odd reason the RCS would not work after I jettisoned my fearing (which was covering the RCS, but not touching them). I removed the fearing in the VAB launched again and everything was fine again. I tested this over and over with different fearings I created each slightly different than the previous. Same issue each time.
  18. I just tried doing an Apollo 11 type of mission last night. Everything went smoothly for most of it until after I landed on the Mun and then launched back up to re dock with my last stage. When I got my Lander back into orbit around the mun, I was about to dock with my last stage section again and it just bounces right off of it.. it wouldn’t dock. I have no idea why.
  19. I was hoping there would be some info about the RCS not working occasionally. I’ve had this issue since launch. Sometimes RCS just doesn’t work at all once I’m in orbit. I’ll have to save the game and reload it in order for the RCS to work again.
  20. Is it a known bug where the RCS just randomly doesn’t work sometimes? I have to keep saving and reloading the save in order for the RCS to start working again. I’m trying to test a few things in orbit. But every time I launch the rocket, get to orbit, then try using RCS, nothing happens. When I click on them they say “disabled”. So I click the enable button on and off. Still nothing. The only fix is if I save and reload. Then it works… it does this every time. I’m not sure if I’m doing anything wrong or what. There’s plenty of fuel for them. I have power on my ship. So it can’t be that. I’ve done this over and over multiple times. Same result.
  21. Wow that was a a lot of info. Thank you for the update! But, and I’m sure I’m not alone here when I say this... I was hoping for an estimated release date for some of this stuff.
  22. Thank you for the weekly update as usual. And thank you for fixing the at atmospheric drag/physics issues with the command pods while doing a re entry. Orbital decay is the next major issue I hope is fixed soon. Other than that I’m happy with how the game is running currently. I’m excited to see the future big roadmap updates. HOTAS is still my number one biggest feature I’d like to see in game sooner rather than later. It would have been awesome to have for this weeks air show challenge… having smooth input controls with a joystick or Gamepad would make flying in this game so much better. It would also help with rockets wobbling because having smoother controls is better than 0-100% input keyboard presses.
  23. Any hot fix for this yet? Having to wait another 2 months for the next update to fix what was working before doesn’t sound good : ( Or is there a way I can revert back to the previous patch? I do a lot of reentry stuff with going to and from my space station. This is a major game breaking bug for me.
  24. Any update on this yet? This is a pretty significantly game breaking bug… I really don’t want to wait another 2 months for the next update just so I can play the game as I was prior to this update.
