  1. So I'm pretty sure this is wishful thinking, but has there been any indication that KSP 2 will come under the early backer deal? For anyone unaware; those that bought KSP prior to April 2013 (back when it was in early alpha) have received all KSP DLC for free. KSP 2 is technically not DLC, and kudos to Squad for upholding this arrangement, but I'm just curious as to whether there'll be any extension of that to KSP 2, even if it's just something like a % discount.
  2. I'm not disagreeing that the Chinese test should not be trusted yet, but keep in mind that they utilised approximately 1000x the input power and received roughly 1000x the thrust of the smaller scale, NASA verification tests.
  3. Watch the video - it\'s a pretty amazing plan for real life. SpaceX is seeking permits to fly it\'s \'grasshopper\' reusable rocket system - if they fly it and it\'s successful, I\'m going to be quite impressed.
  4. What they're saying is that if the wing is horizontal, it will produce very little lift, as it will only be in relation to the falling of the rocket. In other words - if you want to fly horizontally, you need to have the rocket up at an angle right now, whereas with improved physics you would be able to have lift with only pure, horizontal thrust pushing the craft forward. Also, wings (if they use the generic airfoil shape and not a symmetrical one) should only generate lift in one direction unless at negative AoA's exceeding like 5-10 degrees.
