  1. Return mission to the Evian surface with FAR en DRE installed ... !
  2. Well ... I looked closer to my cockpit and somehow my applied paintjob (KerbPaint) has vanished ... Btw, 2nd and last pic are really nice ... !
  3. In my current save (since 1st of March) 12 Kerbals have died. All were killed due to (space)plane related accidents ... !
  4. Turned out my ships in the Joolian System had way too little fuel to return to Kerbin, so they had to rendez-vous and the whole combination was eventually ditched on Pol. It'll be several years untill they'll get rescued.
  5. A group of Kerbals are now almost 10 years away from Kerbin on a journey throughout the Kerbol System, resulting in some interesting scenery:
  6. Stracciatella with a bit of chocolate in my case.
  7. First flight for me was in june 2005 from Eindhoven (Netherlands) to Girona (Spain). I don't fly much; on average once a year and the last time was in april 2014 from New York to Madrid (Barajas) and from there to Brussels (Belgium)
  8. For me: yes and no. My opinion is there's a lot of improvements to be implemented into this game, although some of them are in the pipeline for the upcoming version. But the game on its own is already bullseye for me as I'm playing it on a regular basis since april 2012.
  9. Downloaded RO too. It went pretty smooth with CKAN and to my surprise I haven't run into memory-related problems so far despite the long list of mods ... ! Now, immediately after installing RO I decided to do a 'quick' journey towards Mars, but in reality I found out I have to 'study' the various types of fuel and more before even thinking about launching a manned rocket. This will be a nice challenge ... !
  10. Reached the Jool System after years (Kerbal time) of travel. The vessel has the bad habit of pointing in all directions except the one I want ... !
  11. Haven't even touched RSS, mostly because of crappy visuals in the past. However, I haven't looked in the RSS-thread in months and right now it looks surprisingly well ... ! Think I'll install a seperate 'RSS-KSP' with RO soon and find out how different a journey to Mars is compared to a journey to stock-sized Duna.
  12. Regarding to a Triton-esque moon with a very thin atmosphere; I messed around with Kopernicus and Kittopia a few months ago and actually managed to fabricate a small celestial object with thin atmosphere. Was a pain though to make the atmosphere look right, 'cause they don't go well with small worlds. Don't know the exact parameters though but radius was about 220 km, 0.18G and the atmo extended WAY out into space (at least 70 km). I called the object 'Sombor'. Later, it turned into a spiked and bugged abomination when I did something with it via Kittopia.
  13. Well, I'd vote for Laythe too. Oxygen atmosphere makes very economical exploration (Jet Engines) possible and the views are a big plus too. Especially with EVE and KSPRC / AVP installed.
  14. Improvements for the stock game in my opinion: -More planets -Multiple star systems (might be outside development scope) -Clouds -Better aerodynamics (WIP ... !) -Exploration beneath surfaces of oceans and lakes -0.625 meter air breathing engines (the current ones are a bit too massive when building VTOL's while planning to build small) -More Ion Engines and Xenon Tanks (as in: different sizes)
  15. In a shallow crater on Dres. He first delivered an outpost on Duna and is now visiting Dres en route to the Jool system and perhaps beyond (Outer Planets Mod)
  16. It seems much can change in a short period of time; not even 2 months ago it seemed the creation of custom planets and moons came to a stop when the momentum of development for Kopernicus was almost gone, and now its possible to even create a working binary star system (Kerbol - Stella)? Gotta say I'm surprised. See if I can reach the Stella system with stock propulsion system, but I assume it requires an ISV-Venture Star-esque ship to actually do this.
  17. Three vessels got send to the Duna system to begin exploration of the planetary system: Nivata: contained a small base and rover and was meant to land in the arctic region of Duna. Dinaridar: contained a somewhat larger base and rover and was targeted at the equatorial region of Duna. Dauerfrost: vessel with chemical and Ion propulsion. Was meant to complete a contract on Ike (explore) and finally 'retire' on Dres. The Nivata combination 'landed' with 300 m/s on the northern ice-cap, destroying the vessel and killing the two Kerbonauts onboard. The Dinaridar vessel became aerodynamically unstable during descent in the atmosphere, but parachutes opened just in time for a succesfull landing on the surface. The rover touched down pretty hard (seen in background) and was inoperable. It turned out the Dauerfrost vessel had way too little Delta-V to even consider Dres as a destination, and had to 'retire' early on Ike.
  18. For me personally, a complete planetary system. Some more gas Giants with moons around them, that may reflect our Solar System or not. I'd really like to see multiple solar system, but I assume that's far out of the scope of Squad by now.
  19. For me also a loud 'no' in this matter. Bugs and a lack of content are the most heard reasons in this thread why KSP isn't ready for version 1.0 yet, and I agree. For me personally, the huge lack of planets is the greatest concern. Yes, Squad stated more content will be added after the release of 1.0, but what if reviewers shred apart the game after release because of (many) bugs and perhaps an unpolished state of KSP? It could utterly destroy the momentum of development and eventually result in a game that's still enjoyable for a limited audience (including me), but with only a fraction of its potential and being loathed by the big public.
  20. Flying around on Minmus and completing contracts with a very economical lander / hopper. One Ion Engine is enough for the very light (1.12 t) vehicle. Meanwhile on the Mun, there was a malfunction during a landing procedure and *dontknowname* Kerman had to bail. He hit the ground pretty hard, the lander itself even harder. Not much later, two Kerbonauts returned on Kerbin and were happy to breath in fresh air again ... !
  21. Brilliant ... ! Cannot wait to find out how the 'end-product' of this mod will look like with EVE, Distant Object Enhancement and other relevant mods being compatible in the (near) future... !
  22. About suggestions for the geographical features: The Volcano-esque mountain on pic 1: Mount Nehelennia The Y-shaped mountain range on pic 2: Yahel Mountains The mountain range on pic 3: Sombor Mountains Now, about a possible future thin amosphere on Slate; I think a color somewhere between orange and brown would be fantastic. It would give the giant appearance of Sarnus on Slate somewhat extra awesomeness (in my opinion) ... !
  23. Nice update ... ! Btw, Ovok also reminds me of Enceladus; small, icy and remarkebly spherical for its small size.
  24. Going to keep an eye on this mod. I agree with others in this thread that a great plus of this is the focus on quality of celestial bodies, and not quantity. This is gonna be a blast ... !
  25. Still in the early stages of Career Mode. Thomwig Kerman crashed on the Mun and without any means of escape available yet here's there to stay for a while. But his capsule still has some solar panels and a transmitting device. Thomwig now scouts the Munar landscape, gathering Science and returning to the capsule to transmit it now and then.
