  1. Hi guys,

I made a Flash animation this last semester in school. It's a Kerbalized "Gravity" parody. Let me know what you think!

    Click!

I should also add that this is still semi-work in progress. I have one more scene I plan to add when I get the time.

  2. Hi guys,

I took a Principles of 2D Animation this quarter at Art Institute, and for my final I chose to use a Kerbal as my character. I am pretty happy with how it turned out, and I thought I'd share it with you all.

This is entirely hand drawn, then digitized with a DSLR and combined into separate animated movies in Monkey Jam, then composited in Premiere Pro. It's 300+ drawings and took me probably more than 40 hours of work in all.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for looking! And thanks Squad for the inspiration!

  3. I like being able to keep track of exactly what version and where I have KSP installed, so I am enduring the KSP store for now. It's definitely not as bad as it used to be. Also I'm not sure if this is an issue or not but I hate having to re-assign all my controls on my joystick every time there is an update, so I keep my settings.cfg and transfer it over to each new version.

  4. I keep mine at stock for simplicity sake. Probably going to start using NovaPunch again soon though as it's proving difficult for me to make rockets large enough for interplanetary travel without them falling apart. The only mod I have been using is Protractor in order to make planetary transfers easy.

  5. (i don't know how to spoiler it, because the forum doesnt actually provide a button for it, nor does

    work)

I saw that, awesome station. Excellent work by OP as well.

As for spoilers, you should be using this formula:

    [*spoiler=Whateveryouwantthebuttontosay]image goes here[*/spoiler]

    (Remove the asterisks of course)

    Should look like this:

  6. Well, the game IS pretty dang laggy right now. A guy I know on IRC (who got me into the game) has basically given up even trying to go interplanetary because of the extra lag in 0.17, and I've been having trouble myself. That said....condemning an ALPHA version for having issues is kinda silly. I like the game as is.....even though it'd be a lot nicer with the ability to send up full-sized rockets without random lag, glitches and explosions.

I suppose it can depend on what system you're playing on, but it shouldn't be impossible to go interplanetary. I've done Eve just fine with almost zero lag, even on the launchpad. As I understand it though, Unity has certain restrictions at the moment so your system can only be so good.

And my system is probably only upper-midrange at best. 8gb of RAM that I'm not sure Unity can even use, and only one core of my 6-core processor. I would say play with some settings to see if you can reduce your lag a bit. I know on my AMD card, AA kills it, so I keep it low.

  7. More money for the devs really. Once this game is fully complete and optimized, people will be lining up to buy it at full price. Your friend just lost a good deal on this great game in my opinion. I mean it's only in alpha stages and is already providing countless hours of gameplay. If you're running mods that are lagging down your computer by the way, that's not really Squad's fault. Just my $.02.
