  1. I propose calling the first stage engine the Semorkya-7 "Nikolai", with the upper stages being the Semorkya-8 Natasha (3rd stage) and Semorkya-8A Sasha (2nd stage) respectively. The boosters can be the Semorkya-7A "Mikhail".
  2. I feel that the R7-a-like should be balanced against stock lifter engines. In other words, the first stage and booster engines are high-thrust, relatively low vacuum and ASL ISPs, the second stage engines are mid-range, with good thrust and average ISP, and the 3rd stage engines are dedicated upper-stage/vacuum maneuvering engines. That, and I feel that you should have to use the ALV to send things to the Mun initially. Perhaps make it so that the R7 copy can send a Tantares to LKO, ALV can send Tantares in it's LOK configuration to the Mun, and the Libra Launch Vehicle can pull an Apollo-type Mun mission. Or it at least has the payload capacity and Delta-V for it.

  4. And that sort of thing is why the Mun mission parts should be built so that you can use BOTH approaches. That way, someone who doesn't like having to rendezvous more than two spacecraft can build the big rocket to carry the whole kit and caboodle to the Mun in one launch, while someone who likes Earth (or Kerbin) Orbit Rendezvous missions can build it that way.
  5. Are those HL fuselages cargo bays or fuel tanks? Cuz' if those are empty, that's a metric crap ton of wasted space and mass.

  8. This is really cool. If there was a folding prop combustion engine in Firespitter, you could call it a dieselpunk deployable fighter craft.

  12. FYI, can someone help me figure out what parts to keep and not to keep? Matt, if you see this, would you be so kind as to either create or help create an installation guide video for your Rescaled install? Because while I have downloaded all of the mods that I can find working links to, I don't know how to install them in such a way that they will work as intended together, what to keep, what to get rid of, and what I really shouldn't be installing.
  13. My advice would be to do what the British did with their fighters. They replaced the rifle caliber machine guns with 20mm auto-cannons.

  18. I would like to see more of this series. I would also deeply appreciate it if you constructed a demonstration base to show off what the BUG series is capable of. Can it be used anywhere? Or is it limited to places with Kerbin-like gravity?

    I want a version that doesn't require cheats to fly. Maybe look into making it use jet engines? making the MGs and rocket pods turreted would certainly help.
  20. Can anyone help me find out why I'm getting this really weird shading/texture bug? I start up the game and go into the VAB, and for some reason all of the parts except the heatshield from this mod that you are supposed to attach to the capsule have a weird red shader thing applied to them. RealChutes is a possible suspect, as their parts have the same problem.
