I'm wondering if anybody else has had an issue where anywhere outside of the tutorial, balloons always display a "no signal" status, and refuse to adjust any settings in flight? If you did, how did you fix it? -

But for maximum accuracy, you should try to use a balloon and come down on a parachute. -
In light of the Stratos's success... My challenge is for you to recreate the mission. use some sort off balloon plugin and find a way for your Kerbal to parachute down from 39000 meters

Actually, this is exactly the same with me. I think i may have figured it out, but my ship ran out of RCS propellant at that moment.

EDIT: Even from 70km I can only get a few 100m/s off the SRB, nowhere near enough for orbit. How did you get that thing so high? It's like space elevator-y. -
This is a super lander challenge (Obviously). What you need to do is design a ship that takes off, Rendezvous with a ship already in orbit, lands back on Kerbin, takes off again and rendezvous with that same ship. Extra points for less stages, and more Kerbals. Any balanced sort of mod is allowed (and yes, I'll even let you use mechjeb) Leader board-

How to make aircraft take off

I can not get any aircraft-style spaceplane take off from the runway, they will stay on until the end, where the engines crash into the ground and explode. Does anybidy have any tips on how to build spaceplanes?
