  1. http://i.imgur.com/xUFmv5X.png is the highest res I could upload
  2. Uploading it now, it's 12MB so it'll take me about half an hour, I'll link you when it's done.
  3. Calm down man, there's tonnes of DX9 rippers that can get models, why would you even get angry over this? O_o
  4. Awesome! Works perfectly so far with the import. Have you got any plans for adapting the script for 3Ds Max/Maya?
  5. http://i.imgur.com/hfTuC6h.jpg And http://i.imgur.com/htIQ5GQ.jpg Not at all complete, did them as quick as I could. :s
  6. From the main menu using Ninja ripper the files are.... Tex_0627_0.dds Tex_0627_1.dds Tex_0720_0.dds Tex_0720_1.dds Tex_0723_0.dds Tex_0723_1.dds Then you just find the meshes with the same names
  7. It's possible, but you'd only see it from afar like that, so kinda pointless, besides, we're gettings clouds in 0.20 apparently!
  8. Working on it! Just need to get the maps for it looking good
  9. The original image was done in 3Ds Max, but somebody shaded the moon in Gimp.
  10. Really wish it worked with savegames, I'd just love a small asteroid in orbit of Kerbin, well, aside from the implications with satellites and such
  11. Hyperedit has its uses.... Additional screens.
  12. So the other day half way through an inexplicably boring class of statistics I had an idea something along the lines of "Surely you could collect all those shiney charged particles with a charged funnel and throw them out the back provided you have electricity and some big magnets" Then I thought of Kerbal Space Program and decided it was time for me to make my first mod, a kinda ion engine that fuels itself through the solar wind collectors, and uses an electromagnetic propulsion drive. It'd move very slowly, but would be perfect for tiny little probes, and with enough power you could use a little fuel to go at some quite noticeable speeds; mass*velocity, a little of one and a lot of the other works both ways. And here my journey begins, first mod. First of all I'm gonna get some modelling done as I'm still slightly unsure on how to make new resources... My plan for the solar wind collector is simple, just an air intake that only collects the resource outside of the atmosphere of any given planet. Now, my coding skills are good but not great, so I'm gonna need a little advice on how to create new resources and plugins, a link to a tutorial on how to do this would be great if possible thanks. I'll start the modelling later today, I'll keep updating with renders every now and then. Aesthetics: For the drives' engine flare I'm going to mix the particle exhaust from a SRB and a small flame from a liquid fuel engine, already managed to test that much. Update 1: Resource working absolutely great, engine and fuel tank models still WIP, gonna be a while still.
  13. That's incredible! How did you get the textures?
  14. Used the texture of Kerbin from the main menu, made it super hi-res and patched it using parts of Blue Marble, I would upload the texture, but it's 12 MB and still a WIP. Here's a scaled down version (From 8096 x 4048) Feel free to use it if ya want. http://i.imgur.com/bFnsbkv.jpg
  15. Thanks. How did you happen upon this post?
  16. http://i.imgur.com/y60kne3.jpg This a bit better?
  17. Just as I began work on it. Great job!
  18. "Look at all those clouds, they're all fluffy and nice and stuff"
  19. Don't get me wrong, I love the Mun, just working on better textures right now, this is kind of a WIP.... Soon it will be complete.
  20. Made this in about three hours using 3Ds max, would've been two if my PSU hadn't died on me without me saving in ages. (Replacing it was surprisingly quick) With a B9 Aerospace shuttle incase you want something in the foreground for a screensaver. (Awesome mod!) And for those of you wondering how I got the textures, I used Ninja Ripper, the models weren't so important because spheres are not exactly the most complicated things ever. ;P Let me know if you've any ideas for improvement!
