  1. Questions and tips thread moved to the questions and tips sub-forum. Carry on.
  2. If you click on one of the green triangles of the warp setting display on the upper left, it will jump directly to that warp level. However, the sudden shift can magnify imprecisions in the simulation, wildly throwing your projected course around. It's not advisable. (Or at least that's what used to happen. I haven't tried it for many versions now because of the danger.)
  3. How about some pictures to illustrate your exploits, ahutt23?
  4. Couldn't you just, you know, *not use* saves and reverts? Why change the software so as to disallow something that's already voluntary?
  5. They were also used intensively in some aspects of the Vietnam War. Not in fluid, WW2-style battle, but as bunker busters and mobile hardpoints.
  6. Kerbals, however, are parts, at least as far as the claw is concerned. But yes, the claw won't grab any of the celestial bodies which are "on rails."
  7. No, you're not the only who noticed that I can look out of the windows of my ships for the first time in 2 or 3 versions! I too discovered that I can watch my launches without having to pan all the way up or down! Furthermore, I can look around in IVA view without trashing my framerate! Sorry about all the italics but, I am extremely excited about this!
  8. Three words: no ocean lag. \o/
  9. Quinctilius Varus, give me back my 1080 posts!
  10. These sorts of discussions tend to devolve into arguments. Let's just say that each player can use or not use mods as he/she sees fit, and leave it at that, okay?
  11. It's not clear to me what you mean. Are the panels on the side facing the sun claiming to be blocked even though nothing is in the way?
  12. I'd suggest not trying to rush out and meet one as it's whizzing by. Go out interplanetary and grab one where you have weeks to guide it to an aerobraking pass. Remember, the farther away you start, the easier it is to change the asteroid's trajectory.
  13. Sorry, but this would be a violation of physics. Liquids already fill a volume as efficiently as they can, so applying pressure merely, well, applies pressure without reducing the volume significantly.
  14. Try right-clicking on them in the VAB/SPH for a spiffy new feature.
  15. Yep, there are a couple of threads for it over in General Discussion.
  16. This may help. And while I'm here, welcome to the game, and to the forum.
  17. Since the new parts are mostly larger and/or more advanced devices, they do tend to appear higher in the tree.
  18. Granted, the style in those days was for every episode to return to the status quo so that they could be aired in any order in syndication. However, I'm really puzzled to hear you say this since that was a fundamental aspect of Spock's character and the Vulcan race in the original series. The series Enterprise did initiate the era, however, in which the portrayal of the Vulcans threw all that dignity into the dumpster and they behaved like petulant children all the time. And don't even get me started on reboot Spock as an instructor banging one of his academy students, because that's just disgraceful.
  19. The original series did eps about the morality of the Cold War (A Private Little War), the nature of reality (The Menagerie), violence as a psychological trait of humans (Errand of Mercy), the integrity of putting others before self (Elaan of Troyius), the morality of power (Plato's Stepchildren), the senselessness of racism (Let that Be Your Last Battlefield), and that's just the stuff I can be bothered to list right now. First Trek is best Trek. Meanwhile, Lucifer is constructing a 10th circle of Hell just to deal with the way Abrams turned Trek into dopey action movies about buffoonish characters.
  20. Putting "K"s in the name of your ship caused kraken attacks. As you can see, we've been working on the problem this morning.
  21. What are you tal*ing about? Everything loo*s normal to me. Maybe it's your browser acting up?
  22. SpacedCowboy, as FEichinger says, I merged a couple of your consecutive posts to keep the thread tidy and prevent it from needlessly running over to additional pages. Sorry if that was confusing for you, but the content of your posts was not altered.
  23. And yet they're being accused of over-hyping and over-spoiling. I was remarking upon the sad irony of this. A point upon which we agree, and yet the accusations continue. Use of the word "we" there is unjustified. Some of you have. But many posts in this thread show that others have not. They still intend to. From what I understand, there was an unforeseen, last-minute complication. Nothing has been cancelled. It's just not coming as soon as some assumed and others hoped. You've mistaken rueful irony for mocking.
  24. Poor Squad. They always get accused of not communicating enough and not being "transparent" enough, and then when they put something out, they get accused of over-hyping and over-spoilering.
