Daman453, I'm afraid that this does not meet several points of the challenge guidelines. Among other issues, you haven't specified the means of determining a winner, and I suspect your goal is not possible at all because nothing, including light sources, is actively simulated farther away than a 2.25km radius. Please give the idea some thought and decide whether or not you'd like to re-submit it, but for the moment, this thread will be closed. -
There's no need to speculate about when the Dailys get posted. They get posted when Rowsdower puts them together, and he's been quite busy lately with arrangements for, travel time to/from, and participating in the GDC. And now that the question of this thread has been answered, it's time to close it.

Let's please not rehash the pro/anti-Mechjeb argument again. OP's question was about the efficiency, not the morality of using Mechjeb, so let's discuss it in those terms. And since that probably will involve numbers and maybe even some math-type-stuff, let's just ease this thread over to gameplay questions, alrighty?

Westi29, your enthusiasm is admirable but it is getting to be a lot of material to squeeze into this kind of thread. From now on, please post that sort of thing in the sub-forum for player-made videos. Thank you!

I'm curious. There is an awful lot of rotating machinery in the world already, and there has been at least since the industrial revolution. During that time, these machines have been built, maintained, studied, and minutely scrutinized by experts trying to squeeze ever-better performance out of them, using precision measuring devices and state-of-the-art physics, chemistry, and other sciences. How do suppose it is that you've managed to discover something they all overlooked? -

Yep, this is a golden oldie. ZooNamedGames, if you'd like to build ships for people, why do you post an offer in the Rocket Builders thread? That's where people will go to look for this sort of thing. Meanwhile, closing this thread.

I don't think you've noticed just how big Mun is. It would take a couple of days of real-time, full-time, to drive half-way around it. And that's assuming you don't crash along the way, which is a large risk, because the terrain is quite rough and the light gravity won't help you cling to it. Do yourself a favor and fly to the other Kerbal, even if it means sending a second ship for him.

Are you suggesting this is bad for the US? If 5 of the 9 contenders are American, we have a 56% chance of winning the competition. (This is a gross simplification, of course, since the competition isn't simply a random selection. Still, you get the idea.)

RedDevilEA, I'm not clear about what you're offering as well. If you've got a ship made up, why not add some pics and a craft file to your first post there, and we'll move it to Ship Exchange for you? Or if it's a mod you're talking about, you could offer it in the add-on releases sub-forum. What is it you have in mind? -

Guys, we already have threads for 'what have you done today,' 'strange craft,' 'not going to space today,' and so on. What would this thread include that hasn't already been covered? Not meaning to be nasty; just wondering if we really need another thread along those same lines.
