  1. I played SF64 when I was a kid. I basically mastered it (the secret was to spam barrel rolls ). ---------- SF Zero is basically SF64 combined with the very first SF game, which was originally called Starwing. Personally, I hope they build on Zero a bit. It could use its own multiplayer.
  2. So, I'm having a massive childhood nostalgia explosion right about now. Is it just me? The game's only been out for a day and I'm already thinking of what a sequel or DLC would be like. What do you guys think? What would you like to see in a future DLC and/or sequel for StarFox Zero?
  3. But if people were to use the chopped-off cockpit somewhere in the middle, it would look hideous. I agree with keeping the part with the nosecone and adding a chopped-off version as well.
  4. Come to think of it, the base nosecone that it currently has is longer than the small nosecone part. I like the idea of having the normal cockpit as well as the chopped-off cockpit. It would add a nice extra option.
  5. What about moving a base over water? That would be great for Eve or Laythe. Also, not all airships are hot air balloons.
  6. I firmly believe that airships would add a whole new layer of creativity to KSP.
  7. Notice how their beaks look like dog heads. Could it be a mask? Could they be hiding some terrible fangs under there?? I'm having a little too much fun with this.
  8. Just an interesting parallel that I noticed between current events and the events leading up to World War II. 1939-1941: German forces were launching offensive after offensive on neighboring nations, taking advantage of the lack of resistance before war finally broke out. Japanese forces were taking over areas of China and the Pacific for territory and natural resources before launching the attack on Pearl Harbor and officially declaring war on the US. Present day: Russian forces invade the Crimean region of Ukraine, also taking advantage of the lack of resistance and relying heavily on pro-Russian rebels to keep the Ukrainian military at bay. Chinese forces are spreading their territories down into the South China Sea, establishing new borders and constructing artificial islands for military bases. Road to World War III, or just another little flame that will die out soon?
  9. I'll just say that the show has some absolutely wacky aliens in it, including: Weeping Angels - Angel statues that only attack when you look away from them. Daleks - Aliens wearing saltshaker-like battle suits who kill whatever isn't a Dalek. Cybermen - Cyborgs who turn beings into more Cybermen. Those are the three most recurring aliens in the series. There are far more bizarre creatures as well. I'm sure evil ducks would fit in somewhere.
  10. Anatidaephobia: The fear that anywhere you are, no matter the circumstances, a duck is watching you. This has so much potential for a Doctor Who episode, don't you think?
  11. Here's a big thing: Fun. Airships would be fun. KSP is a game, and games are meant to be fun. KSP is fun, but could be even more fun with airships.
  12. Wait... Now the diborane molecule makes no sense to me. Boron can normally only form three bonds, yet it forms two 3C2E bonds and two normal bonds. That's four, isn't it?
  13. FYI, this isn't about World of Warships. This is a history question. When the Omaha class cruisers were modernized for the Second World War, two of the aft guns and two of the torpedo launchers were removed. Did any of the ships in the class keep those guns and torpedo launchers?
  14. They may not be all that important to you, but they sure are to me. I'd much rather have a large airship than a ground base or rover.
  15. I figured that out almost as soon as you posted. I hads a derp.
  16. I'm confused... The diborane molecule contains a 3C2E bond, but there are four atoms involved, two borons and two hydrogens, yet it still counts as a 3-center bond. EDIT: Derp. Nevermind. Diborane has two 3C2E bonds.
  17. So none of the atoms involved in the bond are hydrogen? It's just four carbons?
  18. Airship parts. These, at least for me, are a must-have. I'll be discussing why airship parts (including electric propellers and lifting cables) are so important for the game. 1. Floating bases If you want a base that can easily be moved and redeployed no matter the terrain, airships are the key. Airship bases are especially important for Jool. To avoid calamity, time warping or shifting focus to another vessel would put any floating bases in locked geostationary positions. The airship would have to be stationary before you could do these things, though. Special SAS systems could help with this. 2. Mobile high-altitude launch platforms Carry a rocket up to the edge of the atmosphere to launch to orbit. This way, rockets could be a bit smaller, and you could save money on large rocket stages. 3. Slow but easy cargo transportation Move bulky cargo without the need for aerodynamic cargo bays. You don't even need to land. Just grab and go. It may take longer, but it's much simpler and doesn't use any precious fuel or oxidizer. 4. Construction Putting together a tall structure or rocket and don't have the ground equipment to get the pieces high enough? Some precision flying with an airship can get the job done. 5. Science! Study the atmospheres of planets without the need for fuel-guzzling spaceplanes. Collect surface samples from normally inaccessible areas. Yes, I'm aware that there are airship mods, but I've always preferred stock parts. The addition of stock airship parts would be the best thing that ever happened in KSP for me.
  19. Diborane still uses hydrogen for the 3C2E bond. I am thinking of boron molecules, but I'm wondering if boron molecules can use something other than hydrogen for the 3C2E bond. The what?
  20. I've only ever heard of three-center-two-electron bonds with hydrogen atoms. Is it possible for something other than hydrogen to form this type of bond? Example: Diborane forms a 3C2E bridge between the two boron atoms using hydrogen. Could something other than hydrogen be used for that bridge?
