  1. nice mod! On the idea of weights, Perhaps some small ones that you can put on any part of your craft so if your spaceplane for example is rear-heavy, you could just stick on some wieghts near the front to balance it.

  3. yes dusty_monk, you need to send the .craft file of the rocke you\'ve made for the turn, along with any flying instructions needed. (like, fly a few degrees in the direction of the water). Don lorenzo will kindly sort out everything else. Its not too late to join either, i joined last turn
  4. Does it mean 3 times more depth that the grand canyon? I mean, Is minmus anywhere near as large as earth? as far as i know its not even close to the size of our real moon.
  5. Heres my little Mun base so far; It has a Tri-home building and 2 rovers, one for picking stuff up and one for blowing stuff up xD In my mind, each pod houses 3 Kerbals. total of 9, 3 stay in the building, and 3 on each rover Next i\'m going to try and get some storage like buildings landed.
  6. Lots of fuel piles, some storage facilities, pehaps build something that resembles some industry or entertainment buildings ?

  8. i\'ve found it easier than landing on the Mun. Less gravity!. I managed to land a lander on minmus using the rocket i designed for only landing on the Mun.

  11. I Challenge you! To build Functional land vehicles that have some sort of interesting action you can do with it. For example; Here is a Mobile crane i have built, Using Damned Robotics and Carts, you can try to pick up objects with it(or fail trying in my case). It has stabilizer legs, Rotateable, raiseable/lowerable Boom arm, With a raiseable/lowerable Claw that you can open and close. So what can you build?   12. Max desent speed really depends on the weight of the object and the strength of its landing legs/wheels.. so it varies quite a lot. I\'m not a mathmaticion so i have no idea what the formulae for working it out would be.
  13. thats just a forum rank based on post count, nothing interesting. My first EVA will most likely be a walk-a-bout the KSC... then a IVA involving ejecting a kerbal into space will in a collision course orbit so i can watch him burn p in the atmosphere xD

Minimus Lakes Landed on Minimus Location on minimus rover engine broke off after detaching bit of exploration ah, accident after a jump Rescue mission scrapped, turned out one of the astrokerbal\'s had a criminal record and the space agency decided it wasn\'t worth the expense xD
  15. well you get into orbit in order to cover more ground, quicker, with less fuel, than staying in the atmosphere, In order to bomb a target, you deorbit so you reach the target. As for mods, i have a few installed, damnedaerospace&robotics, C7 forwardwings&mk2bicoupler, mechjeb(please add this), Carts.
  16. lol, love it! and too avoid this being a pictureless post; Here is an Avatar i made Of my commsat network, it has 8 satelittes orbiting at increments of 22.5 degrees.
  17. Uses RCS and a tiny squirt from the small rocket engine to hop off the lander. the lander and rover both have mechjeb modules so either can be 'deleted' easily. Its not my own design though, i copied parts of it from other screenshots i\'ve seen on this forum.
  18. well i worked out how to get a sat in orbit with no debris left anywhere, mechjeb parts acts as a command unit so having one on each stage lets me deorbit parts or just end mission with them. If your a master of spaceplanes (I totally suck at it!), Could you make a space plane that can reach kerbin orbit 100x100,that is built with only one stage, apart from 2 droppable fuel tanks, to act as a orbit-capable bomber? plane would be stage 2,1 bomb release would be stage 0. (stage 1,2 for different engine types IF the plane is built like that)
  19. looks good, You could add the Nose cone adapters and the nose on top of the fuel tanks, i find it makes the rocket look much better.
  20. i\'ve found that when your parachute gets deployed, if your speed is too high and the mass its holding is too much then the \'chute will just break off, leaving the object its ment to slow down to plummet
