  1. I remember there was floating around somewhere a config for TAC that was for use with RSS, does anybody know where that is?
  2. what the hell is going on outside? what?! no.... attempt #2: there were supposed to be a lot of screenshots of the violent, fiery explosion that was ensuing, but apparently KSP doesn't take screenshots in fullscreen mode..
  3. question: who do you fit all of this into the game without it running out of memory?
  4. wasn't that picture also taken with a long exposure time? Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I don't think the edge of the atmosphere is THAT visible from space, let alone lights from the ground below. Cities are bright, sure, but even from airplanes they don't look like they are draped in an inferno.
  5. Polyphemus-2, capable of housing 30 kerbals, and carrying about 30 tons of food, water, and oxygen. Alone it weighs around 100 tons. screenshot53 screenshot51 the upper stage powered by two efficient M-1 engines with gimbals locked, and two J-2 engines providing steering screenshot48 the first stage, powered by 9 F-1/A engines screenshot46 ~81000Kn gives it a TWR of 0.94 at launch, so I had to strap on four Titan SRB's so it could get off the launch pad. screenshot36
  6. Jeb, standing next to the M-1A Scout, the first thing I've ever landed on the Moon. Also my smallest lander design ever. The tanks on the top are helium for the RCS systems, and batteries. screenshot30 in high orbit above Earth, performing Hohmann Transfer to the Moon. screenshot17 the M-1B Relay carrier circularizing above the Moon. Scout wasn't able to land unfortunately because the antenna at the top shifted the center of gravity, and the RCS was not able to compensate. screenshot18
  7. are there any plans to have this updated for 0.90 compatibility?
  8. it looks like it's just code injection, same things normal plugin dll.'s do.
  9. I've been running into this issue with the latest RSS in my realism overhaul savegame. The launch site icons, and some plugin icons like FAR, are totally blacked out. Is this because the latest ATM is borking things up or is this expected?
  10. I am using the most recent version of Toolbar, which shouldn't matter since the icons are completely black on the stock toolbar. I don't know why the launch sites and the change launch site icon wouldn't be working though. Could it be because I'm using the most recent version of RSS?
  11. all of the RSS icons are totally blank, and the toolbar icon for FAR is also blank. Has anybody had a similar problem?
  12. Yeah I've gotten that as well. Is this with the newest version of Tweakscale?
  13. only the finest in engineering, which would be true if I had remembered to put on parachutes. parachutes! KAS delivers sun bouncing off the Indian ocean departure descent over New Guinea
  14. it does seem that way, every time I try to change the textures I get the same effect, vanilla procedural textures and Blackheart's procedural textures.
  15. I've noticed something going on with the procedural parts. When you zoom in they become transparent! Here are a few pictures, the transparency is actually much more apparent in-game: see how you can see the other landing gear through the fuselage? and on the left you can see a strut end and a structural part through the nosecone and tank is there a way to fix this? this wouldn't be because I'm using ATM by any chance would it?
  16. is there a way to make the LES rocket on the Taurus be used as landing rockets using the XT Landertron plugin? because as far as I know the thrust is asymmetrical
  17. what do the stars look like from the surface of the planets?
  18. screenshot7 started a Realism Overhaul game, very tricky setting it up as 32-bit KSP has low RAM limit. Very nice results with RVE. Now if I could only figure out how to work with RemoteTech..
  19. I..you..but...That's all it took?! So relieved that it's working now, my brain was about to become scrambled eggs. Anyways, let me be the first to say this: damn Though it's visible that it is very much a work in progress, looks a bit odd from map view, weird lighting when approaching the terminator, I'm sure there are others. Nevertheless, I am stunned at how amazing this is.
  20. No, I'm on a custom built desktop PC, with a fresh install of Windows 7. Graphics card is AMD Radeon HD 6800 series. Maybe I'm running out of memory on my GPU? Incidentally, after I returned to menu before crashing in the pic above, I was able to get into a save, and the Space Center was there! but the ground was all wonky, and it looked like the Earth was covered by one big ultra-thick cloud layer. Looked like this in the map
  21. total ram count in system is 16gb, KSP uses 2.3gb once loaded. with RVE and all its dependencies installed, menu looks like this: and closeup of planet looks like this:
  22. cut MORE parts?? I'm running only on a tankless Squad folder. I think I have plenty of memory available, it's just that something else is going horribly wrong. I booted up one of the scenarios the game came with, and it seems that from the empty space center, the clouds are visible, but from space they aren't. Also, when I started re-entering the atmosphere, it seemed like it was 100% percent grey clouds.
  23. So I tried RVE, the newest version, and I kept getting out of memory errors when I came to the menu screen and RSS was wrapping everything. Then I made a new install, with a truncated Squad folder, ATM, and installed exactly how the readme specified. This time it ran out of memory by the time it wrapped Laythe if I remember correctly. Then I truncated the RSS textures folder to only include dds files for Earth, the Moon, and Mars. But when I started a save file, the Space Center was gone and the debug was being spammed with null reference exceptions. I know this is still in development, but I'm curious how you got this to run at all, pingo. It looks fantastic, and I'd really like to try it out.
  24. getting some pretty weird effects here, does anybody know what the cause is?
  25. One day... we will have launch effects like this without having to blow up the pad..
