  1. As you may know, there is a mod available called the Universe Replacer. It's pretty nifty if you ask me. What's coolest in my opinion is that by using this mod you can customize the textures of planets and moons by editing the appropriate jpg image in the mod. Here's an example. I changed the look of Jool and affectionately gave it the name Mica. (Orbiting Mica's moon Froth.) Kinda cool right? Now let's combine this idea with Hyperedit's ability to move around planets and moons. (Orbiting another one of Mica's moons. This one is Trula. Other moons [left to right] are Mhari, Pakey, and Didi.) I think this has a lot of possibilities. I wanna see what the community can come up with in terms of custom worlds and names. 2. @nutt007 I'm alright with my video being used in this way. Permission wasn't asked, but if it was I would have responded with a "go ahead". @Ayo99 I like what you did with the 3d. If only life were a little more 3d... However I would kind-of like a mention in your post. On a similar note, I notice that ads play on your 3d version of my video. The music is from the KSP soundtrack and is royalty free to begin with so copyright issues wouldn't cause Youtube to automatically generate ads. You aren't monetizing my video, are you? I only ask because making money off of someone else's work is a BIG no-no.
  3. Yes yes yes yes yes! Thank you so much for making this!
  4. Awesome! Not 5 minutes ago I was in need of something like this!
  5. Hey there My name's Streetlamp and I'm part of the KSP media group. I won't go into details because my life story isn't why you are here Thanks for watching and have a good day Stuff that I should mention: This video was shot and edited in an experimental release. The end product is subject to change. This version isn't available yet and I obviously cannot give anyone the files. This update is worth the wait. I know that may not help satisfy your need for Kerbal Karnage, but you really want to wait until all the bugs are fixed. Trust me.
  6. Definitely Nassault630. His KSP cinematics are jaw dropping.
  7. I am currently running a computer built and maintained by the brightest scientific minds of all Kerbal kind. I will now answer your question based on the data I have available to me at this time. My FPS drops when I load this many parts: Short answer- 1.0 Long answer - One point zero
  8. I don't have a favorite youtuber or an opinion on who is the best overall. But what I can do is assign the youtubers I know into categories and provide a favorite in each. Here we go! Recreational - Danny2462 - https://www.youtube.com/user/Danny2462?feature=fvst - If you've never heard of this guy, click that link FAST! Clever, unexpected, and all around funny videos are all his middle names! --- Let's Play - ChickenKeeper24 - https://www.youtube.com/user/Chickenkeeper24?feature=fvst - Entertaining and enthralling, CK knows how to play KSP and how to keep you interested from video start to finish! --- Tutorial - Scott Manley - https://www.youtube.com/user/szyzyg - If you don't know this guy then I welcome you to Kerbal space program! With his easy to follow tutorials and walkthroughs, you will be orbiting in no time! --- Cinematic - Nassault630 - https://www.youtube.com/user/Nassault630 - All I can say is "HOLY MOTHER OF JOOL THAT IS AWESOME". Watch one of his videos, and you will certainly experience the most beautiful parts of KSP. --- Quick bits - Robbaz - https://www.youtube.com/user/Robbaz - Although heavy on the swearing, I often laugh my sides sore watching his "Viking Space Program" videos. Not a let's play, but not a recreational series either, Robbaz is right in-between. --- Overview - HOCgaming - https://www.youtube.com/user/HOCgaming - With missions ranging from an artificial gravity ring, to a gigantic mun base on the (where else?) Mun! Hoc gives a great "overhead" view for those interested in purchasing KSP. ( I could have added myself to the list, but I think I wouldn't be giving out accurate information https://www.youtube.com/user/StreetlampPro)
  9. A voyage to discover the innards of a nearby asteroid and find out what it had for lunch. Thank you for watching and have nice day Mods used are listed in the credits and here is the link to the music: http://audiojungle.net/item/rise-of-a-new-king/129155
  10. That trailer of yours is excellently put together. I applaud your expert use of Kerbcam and a few other editing tricks I saw you use Are you planning on making any more KSP related content? I ask because you have a really good angle/view on KSP and I would love to see more of it. (It goes without saying that I subbed, liked, favorited, and even shared your video) It was quite inspirational to watch experience your work. You belong right up there with Nassault630.
  11. It's been quite some time since I posted anything on these forums. This is a short movie I've been working on for the last week or so. Enjoy. Part four coming soon. The rest of my work can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/user/StreetlampPro
  12. I recommend Fraps. It gives a good capture frame rate with a low lag key whilst recording. The demo lets you record for thirty seconds before automatically stopping. It\'s without a doubt worth buying.
  13. In one word: Agreed. I was dithering whether to use it or not seeing how camera shakes are very difficult to get right(and by right I mean believable). I didn\'t feel that the current effects were out of line *enough* to prompt a retuning. Ill keep working on them. As for static on-board cameras when you play the unaltered film next to the altered one, the camera shake does attract the eye significantly more. But I agree that a tuning of the camera shake is in order. Thanks for pointing this out, I wouldn\'t have done that much to fix a problem that (To my past knowledge) didn\'t exist. My next work is in stage one. Could be a while before anything major takes place. (1:Planning 2:Filming 3:Adding Effects 4:Tweaking Audio 5:Render Demo 6:Fix Errors in Demo 7:Repeat steps 5&6 8:Publish, take down, and repeat step 7 9:Finalize final piece :10 Post and add something slightly witty in the vid desc)
  14. I\'ve been putting out videos like mad for the last little while. May seem like I only post every week or so, but I spend 80% of my time working on these projects, finalizing, rendering, re-rendering, Cropping, Transitioning, rendering, re-rendering, etc. But I finally finished a good solid PSA. It\'s about time. The Twelve Nightmares of Kerbal Space Program Produced by the KSA in association with other low budget production groups. Detailing the risks of low budget rocketry and exploiting numerous common failures come upon by a lengthy investigation of the majority of Kerbal Space Programs. NO KERBALS WERE HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THIS VIDEO. THE CAPSULES WERE UN-KERBED AND THE DEAD FLOATING BODY WAS ONLY A WELL PAINTED SOCK MONKEY.
  15. They have done it. The Kerbals broke the chains of Kerbin and ascended a small unmanned vehicle to the heavens. Well done greens, well done. This took far longer to edit and render than it should have. Never-the-less it is finished. If I could make the capsule unmanned (Leave out mechjeb I know about it) I would have. Now I must finish this post so I can de-orbit them. Bill recently informed ground control they have run out of urine bags. Looks like I have a crisis on my hands.
  16. I\'m currently doing the final render on a new video. But still even while you wait you have to keep the ball rolling so... yeah. A minor effect test in seeing if the innards of the MK1 capsule are flammable. Bill, Jeb and Bob were quite against the idea so they decided to attach television screens to the windows. I guess we\'ll never know the true results of the test seeing how the real test was never done. Test Render KSP Fire.wmv I\'m going to boot the pathetic camera movement. It turned out terribly and I was far to lazy to remove it.
  17. Right here on the forums. Link=> http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=4325.msg62671#msg62671 As for Ares I doubt it, but there is a deep space mod that has parts that are quite similar to Discovery. Link=> http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=8363.0
  18. Here is some of my work. Mainly Machinima stye, and the occasional Kerbal slaughter fest for my own amusement. Them voting for me was a big mistake. I\'m currently working on a fourth production. Early renderings so far. It is unlikely you would care since this IS the internet, but in case you do care, here\'s a hint: Kaputnik.
  19. This is classified by the KSA. Don\'t tell anyone you saw this and don\'t tell anyone this footage exists. In all seriousness all I know is -they couldn\'t have been formed naturally(or if they have been formed naturally, a force unique to the mun is at play...and in only two positions) -the texture is similar to the ground texture but not the same. Therefor the material is rather new(suggesting the anomaly is of recent creation) or of a material of it\'s own. -when 2010 music is added they make an interesting plot for a Youtube video.
  20. After years of planning, years of testing, years of failure, and years of success, the kerbals have finally perfected their spacecraft, and made history. Landing slightly north of the munar equator. Through slight failure and some overcompensation, the fuel reserves were still more than enough to change the record books, and land on the surface of another realm. The Mun. The kerbals measured the mun, and in so doing took the measure of themselves, and the demonstrated the Kerbal\'s full potential. If this is a double post of one posted a few moments ago by me then I do apologize. Blame my inexperience with the KSP forums and not knowing if the forums update all data on a continuous 30-60 min cycle or if the data is uploaded as first come first served, or if not classifying the post as a '[invention]' toggled a flag for spam accidentally.
