vanilla is all you need for a mun or minmus landing, this was my first successful mun lander. maybe try slowing down your speed to under 10m/s when attempting a mun landing.

hauling some serious ass on the mun.

i was orbiting the equator, getting ready to make a decent to the equator arch, when i spotted something in the distance from about a 80k orbit.found the second arch, and made my first successful touchdown.

nice, done the same thing last night, first succesful landing(ONLY lost 1 leg!!!). then i went to the map to check were my debris would fall, closed the map and my lander exploded!!! it was sitting there fine for five minutes, then BAM. i nearly cried.
