Never, I have so far achieved orbit, landed on Mun and Minmus and back, and recently completed my first orbital rendevous without it. I like the challenge. But I have no problem with it as long as it's doing something routine to save time and effort. Haven't gotten around to getting it though.

Well, you could always hit the esc key to pause the game.
-
Assuming you mean a decaying orbit, i'm not sure if it will be possable to achieve orbit with just jet engines even with Ram intakes. The speed is just not there.
-
In this game it is possable to stall the aircraft very easilly. Use the avioncs nose cone, this is an SAS computer that allows you to have some control of the craft.
-
Well realistic in the sence that you have to have a plan with time. But if there was no time warp, nothing would get done

Follow the purple indicator in the purple circle on the navball -
Why is this game so hard and so addictive.
UNSC replied to VengfeulVermin's topic in KSP1 Discussion
You should have been here before landing legs. -
you could go north across the north pole land bridge to KSC2, but that will more than triple the distance. Still nothing beats air travel.

As I stated earlier, my computer isn't all that great and you guys with quad-cores and great graphics cards arn't running it any better. I'm fairly certain that it's the code.

There seems to be a glass sealing here. My comp specs are: AMD A4-3300M APU with Radeon HD Graphics 1.9 GHz processor Duel-core And 6 GB Ram Not as good as some of the people's computers others in the community use, yet I still get the same amount of lag with large rockets and the game on the highest settings... I may be spouting complete garbage but could it be problems on the software end?
-
If it's your first landing, bring more than three of them with you. Six is a good safe number with plenty of room for failure

This is what I'm worried about. My large rockets cause My computer to run at 5fps until I drop the SRBs. At this point it is ~20 fps. To get to other planets I will need some larger rockets and more efficient memory usage or whatever slows down computers.

How to make aircraft take off
UNSC replied to Captisaac21198's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
You could do it the kerbal way by attaching two SRBs to the nose of the plane pointing upwards. When you are near the end of the runway, quickly activate then detach them to get the nose pointing up. -
How does this moon lander look?
UNSC replied to darkness7879's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Bigger, faster, stronger. But in all seriousness though, I would suggest that you make the base wider, that should increase stability while in atmosphere. -
I once went on eva without realising that the rocket's engines were still slightly on. No one else was on board to shut them off and I managed to catch up using the eva thrusters to get close enough to the ladder to grab on and get back inside. The kerbal performing this was none other than Jeb.

Even with symetry enabled it can attach half to the decouplers and half to the other parts of the rocket. It once took me about 20 launches of almost getting into orbit to realise that the parts wern't attached correctly. I was not happy

^ That has to be one of the funniest glitches I have ever read in this game. Much like the lightspeed vehicle glitch of halo reach.

Replace existing command module
UNSC replied to fiber0pti's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I imagine this will be possible in the future sometime. -
I see what you did there

You could try a larger lander, and more legs there is no limit on number of legs. The most important part of the landing to me is the lateral speed. I have found that I can get away with some horizontal velocity if I am landing with < 5 m/s lateral velocity. I was even recently able to land on a semi-steep hill on minmus with some horizontal velocity going down hill.

My computer lags just looking at some of these pictures of you guy's rockets -
Building an efficient space plane?
UNSC replied to EndlessWaves's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
That, and if you want it to achieve orbit, it's going to need rockets.
