  1. Was having trouble with wireless x360. Deleted the save file & plugged the receiver into a USB on the top instead of front. Perhaps doesn't support slower USB ports? Works now. Only problem is the triggers are registered as Axises so I can't use them, except maybe a throttle you have to hold down . At least it reads the POV though +1
  2. Is placing 2.6.6.dll in GameData by itself supposed to hang the load screen? It stops loading files and just displays 'modmanager' above the loading bar. I don't know anything about adding mods other than placing their folders in the GD directory. I currently have nothing else added and it hangs the loading screen.   3. I built a basic rocket using a 1-manned command pod, fuel, and a booster, just as the tutorial said. When I go to launch, none of the default controls work and the craft will not even start. When I return to the hangar and select Launch again, I get a message that there are no manned or un-manned control modules and that the craft will not be controllable. If I select the second tutorial that talks about pitch, roll and throttle, those do not work and the final button "Set thrust to max" is grayed out. The tutorial window also does not have an 'X' to close it with, as the professor tells me to. Non-Steam version, previous working copy was over 2 years ago.
  4. Wow, lots of good info, thanks! And thanks to Vanamonde for inadvertently informing me that alt-click is how to copy . I asked because I'd like to make something larger but will have to use wings to form the body, like that B-52 someone posted. Perhaps theirs doesn't fly too well because the wings are rotated all over the place! Hey!... If an upside-down wing generates negative lift, could it be used to hold land vehicles on the ground when turning at high speeds?

  6. Dunno. It goes as far as 4 turbines will go I guess. I've just been flying around the base. And ya, it's stock.
  7. No .craft file but Stage 1 has 1 Solid Fuel surrounded by 5 more and 1 wing-let on each, then the same for Stage 2. Stage 3 is the lightest funnel-shaped pod, small fuel, mini booster and 3 landing struts. The solid fuel boosters are enough to make you orbit the Sun . Then the pod's booster can aim you to the Muns. Also the Boosters are angled to reduce heat.

  9. If you are using triangular wings as decoration or part of the body, will they affect how well your Spaceplane flies? How does the game determine which direction is forwards if the design needs them turned 90 degrees or some wonky angle?
  10. I withdraw. I cannot make the trip with my current plane, even with 2 extra fuel tanks, without changing too much of the looks. I will message the next person.
  11. There should be wheels under the engines and at the tips of the wings
