  1. Surprising fact: You always have the option of not paying for it and not playing it. It's not like you're playing it now, so you lose nothing, but gain peace of mind and keep $50.
  2. I baked a salmon filet with some butter, lemon juice, garlic, and random fresh herbs from my father's garden. First time I've done it. I don't cook a lot of seafood, since my youngest is allergic to it. It wasn't the prettiest dish, but it was tasty.
  3. Yes, but the turret still exists, so one could examine it for whatever remains inside. If I turn on the blender, what can I determine from what's left inside the blender? isn't really answered by Turning on the blender causes the motor to spin the blades.
  4. Is it feasible? Yes. Teenagers are slightly lighter than the standard human payload. Is it a good idea? Speaking as a parent, yes. Hell yes! Launching teenagers into space is a damn good idea, and I've got some volunteers you can start with! How does outer space affect teenagers as opposed to adult humans? We have no data as of yet, and we will continue to have no idea until we get beyond letting measly little details like "ethics" stand in our way. Let's start lobbing those little <redacted>s right up there and find out.
  5. I think they've stated how opposed they are to modding and that they will be doing everything they can to prevent those meddlers from interfering with what they intend the game to be.
  6. I've enjoyed the Kerbal Launch Failure mod. It's made having a LES worthwhile. It's also led to some interesting quick thinking to save a mission when one of your stages suddenly isn't there anymore. Any failures post-launch should be something to make missions interesting, but not game killing, and provide a way to conduct repairs.
  7. So we've gone from "Release day will be when all the new features are included" to "Release day will be whenever all the new features are included".
  8. I'm missing the distinction here. If it's disliked, it is unpopular. The options that are liked by people are popular. I agree with these parts, but for different reasons. We're on page 54 of a thread about a feature that has no concrete information. I think the company knows how much it is anticipated, and doesn't want to release too much information until close to release so they can use the hype to build sales.
  9. Rebels was... something to watch. Clone Wars added to the story and filled it in. It makes the turn to the dark side in Ep. III make a lot more sense, less sudden. It gave the clones something more than "we're going to have stormtroopers later, let's make something that looks almost the same". Rebels was also, this happened. Nothing really special about it that expanded the universe. A chance to throw in some references to characters that already existed, once we knew it wasn't going to be cancelled right away. I kind of miss the days when Luke was special; a new hope, the return of the Jedi, the last of the old/first of the new. Now it's Luke was that one guy who happened to be Vader's kid, along with Bob the ex-padawan, and Joe the force sensitive, and this other guy that was also kinda a jedi, and 50,000 other people that were also ex/future/potential Jedi. It really takes away from the original story when you make him just the top name on the list to rebuild the order.
  10. I really doubt that it will work this way. It's a very unpopular opinion. My best hope is that there are options in how MP timewarp works, and that this is one of them.
  11. I made Fried Leftovers. Made a pot roast earlier this week. Chopped up the leftovers tonight, threw it all in a skillet and cooked it until it got all nice and browned. (Alright, it's a hash. With gravy.)
  12. Well, if you're going to bring reality into it (), there actually was a proposed B-58 airliner version. It was based on a (again, only proposed) version of the B-58, using an enlarged version with SR-71 engines. This just amuses me.
  13. The Convair B-58 carried its payload in an external pod, combined with a fuel tank. Passengers might be slightly opposed to the bumpy landing.
  14. I have to admit my question is not answered, and I remain confused. Why play with other people if you don't want to play with other people?
  15. Play a different game. Read a book. Take a walk in the park. Feed the ducks by the pond. Read a book while walking in the park and end up in the pond with the ducks.
  16. But when they are not orbiting a planet or moon, they are still orbiting the central star of the system. Nothing says that two players can't rendezvous and build a station in stellar orbit. Why would you play with those people in the first place?
  17. Land?!? I can't even remember how to get to orbit in 0.13!
  18. Same as above. Just downloaded and am playing.
  19. Angela Lansbury https://www.cnn.com/2022/10/11/entertainment/angela-lansbury-dead/index.html
  20. It's the first thing that came to mind when I saw the news headline tonight. https://www.cnn.com/2022/09/28/entertainment/coolio-obit/index.html Aside from that, Weird Al parodies were the first version of many songs I heard. The man can perform so many different styles in impressive ways, and he's known for doing "funny songs".
  21. Exactly. Everyone is doing activities that contribute to the same goal, the building of whatever is going to exist on that site. I'm questioning how Player A doing a Mun Colony supply run while five years later Player B is mining resources on Duna to build a station in the Jool system fits into "toward the same goal". How is that playing together, when both players could be playing their own games and sharing videos on Youtube while chatting on Discord, without changing the dynamic of their activities? Edit: Everyone is in the same environment, the house. They're using the same tools, cards and some method of tracking value (chips/cash). There's sharing of resources (beer/borrowed money). Everyone's goal is presumably the same (to have fun and hopefully come out ahead). But they're using those tools in very different environments, separate rooms. They're using the tools with different sets of rules. The gameplay and experience of each player is different, based on the rules they've chosen to follow. Further, there's the assumption that the multiplayer KSP is a coop. I have seen plenty of arguments about how KSP MP should work based on not forcing players into a coop mode.
