Internal combustion would not work out of Kerbin and Laythe, and the mechanical conversion from liquid fuel rockets would be amazingly inefficient.

It's called science. That's how it works. It's not like a vidya tech tree where you know what the outcome will be. Experiments are expensive. And we dont know what will come out of them, but that's how science works. That's progress and you cant progress without making mistakes and wasting massive amounts of money. Because then you have some new technology that makes everything better. Are some benefits "worth it"? Absolutely not. But many things in life aren't worth it, but we still use them and we still benefit from them.

Man, I've been so fed up lately. Ive been trying a complicated Duna mission, using the ORDA mod, but either the game lags overly (which is unreasonable for a 20 part ship) or the ORDA mod just 'splodes all over the place when I get fed up and try to teleport.

I'm sorry, I've read through the entire thread, but I still cant figure out the .cfg edits...I like realistic rockets, and not being able to fit the big DSM panels under a fairing infuriates me. How do I turn the Kosmos panels into a Kreuzung panel?
