  1. Covering Exposed parts in foil. Flushing Space Toilet. 42. Plunging Space Toilet. Calling Space Plumber. Replacing Space Toilet. Bazinga!! Doing a Barrel Roll. Preventing Main Bus B Undervolt. Firing Photon Torpedoes. Warping to Ludicrous Speed. Finding the bleeps, the sweeps and the creeps. Going into plaid. Using the Schwartz. Calling Kenny Loggins.. Danger Zone!!! Testing experimental Nitroglycerin engines. Sending Marty Kerman back to 1985. Locating Nearest Space Laundromat.. Washing Spacesuits.. Drying Spacesuits.. Consulting Barney Kerman if the spacesuits are going to make the mission legend, wait for it and I hope your not lactose intolerant because the second half of that word is dary. Finding Space ties to go with spacesuits. Placing Magic Boulder in Proper taunt-free orbit. Sending Cheesy Movies.. The worst we can find
  2. Circumros: A gas giant that orbits at a 0 degree inclination and has a perfect circle for an orbital path, also it is Orange, the atmosphere is high in Bromine and Nitric Acid fumes. Circumros also has two. moons: Ros: A rocky moon roughly the size of Dres. The surface is moderately cratered, the soil is high in Erbium which gives off Ros' signature pink soil, According to Kerbal legends Ros is the Kerbal Moon of love. Ideal for a romantic honeymün. Or maybe just moar science!! Oof: Moon roughly the size of the Mün, Navy blue in colour Oof, sports an extremely dense atmosphere that is twice as thick as Eve's, also Oof sports a very strong gravity field, so jumping is not recommended, Oof's surface is not very cratered due to the thick atmosphere, however any craters that do end up on Oof have a tendency to be on the rather deep side, Oof does have water but you probably do not want to end up in it because the thick atmosphere has built up large amounts of static electricity which acts as a battery for Oof's rather strong magnetosphere, also did we mention it's extremely hot and humid.
  3. Typically I name my manned spacecraft after gods from Norse mythology such as "Odin" "Thor" "Tyr" but also I've named them Viking and or Norseman which are not names from Norse mythology. Typically with Launch Vehicles I use random names such as "Hylias", "Xanadu", 'Chevalier" etc, but I give them a roman numeral which corresponds to the number of engines the first stage has, for instance a Xanadu V has five engines, also I assign my launch vehicles a four digit identifying code (similar to the real life later generation of the Delta series of Launch Vehicles.) the first digit indicates how many stages, the second digit corresponds to how many SRBs are mounted radially to the main tank, the final two digits refer to the minimum diameter of the payload fairing, or main fuel tank for instance 3914 means a three stage launch vehicle with nine radially mounted SRBs, with a fuel tank or payload fairing diameter of 1.4 metres. With Probes and Satellites I just give them acronyms like HOST (High Orbit Space Telescope) or MASS (Münar Altimetric Systems Spacecraft).
  4. I'm very partial to the Red Fox, but also I am a fan of these animals also: Nine Banded Armadillos Bearded Dragons Caribou (Reindeer) Peregrine Falcons Penguins Wolves Servals
  5. I personally love The Right Stuff it is right up there with Apollo 13 as my favorite quasi-true story films set in Outer Space, quite coincidentally Actor Ed Harris stars in both of those films. In The Right Stuff he plays Astronaut John Glenn, however in Apollo 13 he has the important role of Flight Director Gene Kranz. My only complaints about The Right Stuff: is they cite Star City as the Soviet launch site which is not true. Star City is the Soviet (now Russian) space Training site which was founded after Gagarin's historic mission, also in the dramatizations of both the launches of Sputnik and Vostok I the film uses the wrong launch vehicles, in the film they are portrayed as Soyuz launch Vehicles (the obvious escape tower jutting out of the payload fairings gave them away) which did not see action in the late 1950s and early 1960s. In truth Sputnik used a modified R-7 called "Sputnik" and Vostok I used the Vostok launch vehicle, other than that The Right Stuff is a really great film.
  6. The movie San Andreas with Dwayne Johnson everything about that movie seemed scientifically inaccurate especially the tsunami. It felt like the directors flunked out of any sensible Geology, and or Seismology class.
  7. NASA Astronaut Jim Lovell and Jeffery Kluger have a book that talks in detail about the Apollo 13 mission, reader be warned it is very technical, also note in hardback it goes under the title of Lost Moon, but in paperback it goes under the title of Apollo 13, It is the same book Ron Howard used to base his 1995 epic film also titled Apollo 13. Regardless it is a very satisfying read.
  8. Jebediah Kerman and the year of the Apollo 11 Landing My avatar is the Starman made famous by Canadian Progressive Rock group: Rush Profile Pic is of the French Diamant A Rocket on the Pad at Hammaguir
  9. Now all we just need a Link Kerman and a Ganon Kerman.
  10. I thought Jool was a gas giant, In that case its probably the Deep Space Kraken's farts but scientifically I think it is probably Chlorine.
  11. 50% Ice 50% Creme de Menthe syrup. (Green Mint Syrup)
  12. I usually choose "Countdown" by Rush from their 1982 album Signals, which has actual launch chatter from the STS-1 mission spliced into the song at various intervals, besides Rush I also like using some of the more up tempo works of Yanni such as "Twilight" which first appeared on his 1984 Album Optimystique.
  13. Launched: MASS: Münar Altimetric Scanning Spacecraft HOST: High Orbit Space Telescope To Be launched: MOST: Münar Orbit Space Telescope
  14. I have 1.05 and 1.1 installed. I use the 1.05 mostly to design aircraft because at the moment the mods (KAX, Phantom Works, Adjustable landing gear and firespitter) are not 100 percent compatible with 1.1, whereas I use 1.1 to mostly design spacecraft.
  15. I love everything about this mod, even if it is still considered WIP. I also have a part suggestion It's basically a map of the Kerbol system etched into a polished square of aluminum, on the bottom of the square a message is emblazoned in the dots and dashes of morse code which when translated would read "Dear Finder, We are the Kerbals from the planet Kerbin, we come not to make war but come in the name of science." The aluminum square was inspired by the Pioneer Plaque. The square can be radially attached to any probe core during probe assembly (it is completely optional)
  16. Perhaps this is one of the unfortunate side effects of eating Space Ration Bars before going on EVA
  17. Regardless of how this instrument works, I swear i thought negative gravioli was something you enjoy with genovese pesto or ragù and garlic bread (Yeah I thought the Negative gravioli detector was a filled pasta detector.) Thankfully I now know it has something to do with gravitons, that's a relief I came pretty close to convincing the Kerbals that it was Italian Food.
  18. Countdown by Rush, because nothing says launching music better than actual launch audio of STS-1, spliced into the song.
  19. Holy Toledo! What a veritable smorgasbord of parts complete with new scientific parts and realistic stockalike probe cores. I cannot wait to see more from this epic mod. Just curious but are you thinking about adding gold foil probe cores? If so then consider me a passenger aboard the hype train.
