  1. I'm hoping that the spacecraft explodes on impact if you land in the molten oceans. Could make for some scary moments.
  2. Congrats! I only completed my first Mun landing a few days ago and my first Minmus landing yesterday. It's a great feeling. I, too, had to sacrifice many, many Kerbals for the greater good of the species.
  3. What do you mean? I don't care how you land, just has to be without landing gear and the whole spacecraft should survive.
  4. I had no issues doing an EVA. The problem was landing gently enough to land on an engine.
  5. That sounds rather awesome. Have a screenshot?
  6. Well, it depends on their distance from Kerbin. With current stock parts, I would think it's quite doable to get to the system without mods. Returning would probably be a bridge too far, however.
  7. Wow. You got a lotta space junk, there. I end the mission of flights that aren't of great significance, so I've only got a few. I've kept my first return missions to Mun and Minmus, as well as a capsule in low-altitude orbit in the hopes it will one day collide with another craft and my first ever attempt at the Mun, which went off course and is now in a high-speed orbit around Kerbol. Edit: Oh yeah, also the site of my first 'Landing' on the Mun, which resulted in the craft being destroyed, except for the capsule itself.
  8. I can imagine navigating that system of moons could be tricky, as your orbit could get affected by a passing moon. Should make for some challenges!
  9. I did this by accident a couple of hours ago, where there was an issue with staging and resulted in my return stage launching, so I had no landing gear. Nevertheless, I managed to slow down enough to land and balance on the single rocket and return home safely. Anyone else want to try?
  10. I've had it a few times where my orbit will not be exactly horizontal. At one stage, I had an almost vertical orbit of the Mun and managed to somehow get it more horizontal get back to Kerbin, but I don't know what I did. So, how is it done?
  11. Here's one I got today. It's the first time I've done a return mission to Mun (yes, I'm slow) and thought it was rather symbolic of my journey:
  12. Yes, I worked this out just before you replied. Thanks anyway! I was very worried.
  13. I'm so frustrated and relieved at the same time. I'd spent days trying to land on Mun and finally did it a few minutes ago, but after doing an EVA, I found that I placed my steps wrongly and can't get back in the ship! I really wanted to do the return trip, as I have enough fuel, but I can't find a way back in. Here's a picture for reference: http://i.imgur.com/deaG3.jpg As you can see, I didn't put steps on the decoupler, so he can't get up to the capsule. Is there any way I can do it?
  14. This makes so much sense. Thanks. I'll let you know how I go.
