  1. Thanks. Low-res-low-detail before it was cool. *Blushes* It was the intern...yeah, the intern who did this.
  2. Ha! The S-I, S-II and LEM just got dumped from my to-do list! Awesome! Then again...if you're "only" doing the 11-14 configs anyway, I might just take care of the upgauged 15-17 configs (my favourites - depite lacking Pete Conrad)... I bet the performance configuration isn't done yet...
  3. Am looking at your thread. Lost track of your stuff after Gemini. You made a LEM, Atlas and S-V?!? HOT FRIGGIN' DAMN, MAN, I LOVE YOU SO...FRIGGIN'...MUCH!
  4. Just a quick "Thank you" for continuously developing this. Career mode is now bloody challenging, to say the least. Too little tech to do something meaningful, too little money to do something meaningful with too little tech. I'm loving it!
  5. All the parts are now playing hard to get and hide about halfway down the tech tree. Also, familiar looking preview pics on page one*. (*Nah, they don't look familiar at all. ... Okay, they do. Because we blew our marketing budget for a vacation on the Kerbhamas.) As I've said, my version is not realistic. "FuelCellFuel" turns into "FuelCellWaste" and "ElectricCharge". I don't know how much power they emit, but they should last for around 14 (Kerbin) days. That number was derived from Gemini 7's nearly 14 days in orbit. If you absolutely want realistic fuel cells (hydrogen, oxygen, waste water, waste heat, electricity, water dump, venting, insulation, cell degradation, membrane failures, short-outs, long-outs, whereabouts), feel free to change the config accordingly. Thanks! The parts are now updated accordingly.
  6. *Bump again* Updated for 0.23. I am not that far in my career yet, but I think it sits right where it belongs in the tech tree. If you want to have the tech level spoilt, take a peek into the other thread.
  7. *Bumperoni* If anyone tells me what changes are required to make .20 parts work in .23 (tech tree entries only, I presume*) Reality is not an option. *I'll gladly accept suggestions for tech levels.
  8. Oh wow, this was still going? Anyway, if someone wants to update and re-release it, go ahead (just credit me where due). I'm a bit out of the loop regarding KSP to know what has to go where. *Ahem* - Edit: Or just tell me what to put where. I have not played KSPat all since .20, so I do not know how the whole tech tree works. As for the Sat V interstage: I've got the remaining parts (minus the pod) for a S-V as WIP models in 3DS Max. I just couldn't ever be arsed to finish them.
  9. Hey, I was considering a well-placed kick in the groin. Or posting a "DEAL WITH IT" gif because, you know, internet.
  10. Well, here's a suggestion for a complete revamp (a bit over the top maybe): Do away with the introduction and description texts after a mission is made active and only display any goals needed to fulfill (and autohide finished major goals). The only button should be a "Cancel"/"Finish" button. In VAB, display only mission and spaceship parameters (cost!). Have a popup list all expenses and incomes after cancelling or finishing a mission. Also, I'd modify the mission selection process. When no package is active, begin by offering the user a package selection screen. When a package is active, display the currently available missions (maybe divided into "Completed"/"Repeatable"/"Available") and have a button to change the complete package. In space-center view, you could offer the real deal like current stats or maybe a quick toggle between mission and flight test mode, etc... Complex answers for simple questions, lol
  11. Someone is using my parts! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! *Falls off chair in amazement*
  12. Sent up satellite after satellite to farm some cash for more exploration missions. Mission Controller is fun!
  13. Doing the communications/weather/government satellite missions is the closest to MMORPG-style gold farming you can get in a space sim. I'm out of the red now and piling up cash to finance a Minmus lander.
  14. Eve Spaceplane No Mechjeb Nope.avi
  15. I will try it after I get a historically accurate model of Pete Conrad in the commander's seat.
  16. My space program is running well. I'm achieving my goals - while being waist-deep in red ink. So it's basically working like any other government-sponsored space program. Suggestion for future versions: Campaign-based interest rates (lower for the stock campaign, higher for commercial spaceflight campaigns) or user defined interest rates at least. 25% is very steep and does not support my "better safe than sorry" overengineering. *Cough*
  17. Tried to land a probe on the Mun. Failed. One and a half times.
  18. Wanna buy me a new laptop? Thinkpad preferred. (To be fair, this thing has two cores already.)
  19. Can't you check for any ship properties or something? Number of parts, mass or something else?
  20. Something about 25kK. Two stages. I like how MCE really requires you to plan and think ahead and quality control your entire setup before actually launching - just to have it end in long faces anyway. For the Mun II mission, I've even pulled old .craft files from .20 just to be on the safe side. The "Stock" campaign is a bit fast-paced overall, which makes it hard and frustrating for beginners to stay in the game. Normally, you'd tip-toe your way towards a bigger objective, but you're supposed to bring a satellite into orbit *and* back on the very first mission. Same for the Mun missions. Orbit on the first mission, land on the second? Urgh! The comsat missions are very, very useful for making a quick K though. (Although I'm still baffled as to why they should have a docking port.)
  21. +1 I wish I could find a suitable moment for " " in KSP. But without battles and ion beams and warping...Freespace's OST is also okay for space, but a bit too dark overall. Maybe Freelancer's OST could fit KSP a bit better. Smetana's " " is also great.Majestic Rockets lift off to .When chilling on the Mun: Stranded in space:
  22. I burned K170,000 yesterday on "just" the Sputnik 2 mission, so everything isn't as easy as it may sound. A streak of bad luck, a bit too much ambition, one poorly chosen part and bam - K40,000 go up or down in flames. Or not at all.
  23. Umm, the rocket is entirely composed of NovaPunch parts and the probe core is from Bolt-On Probes, so sending the .craft will be a bit pointless if you don't have these packs. Affirmative on DR.
  24. Fuel cell fuel is the label for H2 and O2 and is carried along in the SM and gradually depleted by converting it into FuelCellWaste (i.e. H2O) and electricity.
