  1. surprisingly no one has mentioned the grand tour yet, it's a great mission (still waiting for you to complete it though )! but every video of yours is special, from the awesome craft designs, to the editing. keep it up!
  2. Had to put this baby up with a two metres rocket (so it's a foldable telescope), inside a shroud because i'm using ferram aerospace.
  3. i'm waiting for that one vote on "i'm scott manley!"
  4. that's some stilish stuff you got there, nice work! would you post some pics of the freebird Mk.4 while flying? it's definetly the most interesting of those planes, and only two photos left me a bit unsatisfacted
  5. keep them coming guys, you are showing some amazing stuff soldierhair, do you think you can land the Clostermann without using parachutes? BTW with all those struts it looks like some sort of musical instrument
  6. yes, lots of 'em the weirdest one i ever had was on duna. i was landing my plane, and the exact moment i stopped my fuel depot exploded (it was pretty annoying, the plane just finished deploying two metereological stations very far from my base. i had to do the entire work again) but remember that many (me included) thinks that random explosions are a feature! they spice up the game
  7. i think you shoult give it a try, once you get the gist of it FAR is game changing (i've never had problems with it slowing down the physics also). maybe you could duplicate your KSP folder and install ferram there so it won't interfere with your current game. on a last note, if you designed your SStO in the default game it probably won't work with ferram
  8. i never thought of using the b9 lateral tanks that way. too bad it can't have passengers or payload (maybe you can accomodate two small satellites on the sides of the sabre..?). i also suppose you clipped inside the air intakes, right? good job anyway! i hope you'll use procedural wings in the next version, stock looks a bit strange with that fuselage IMO
  9. Hi guys! this thread will be about SStO designs that works with Ferram Aerospace. So to all you awesome engineers that use FAR, dump here your photos! If you are interested in the general SStO thread follow the link below http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/33312-Showcase-SSTO-s!-Post-your-pictures-here In that thread you will find some absolutely jaw dropping designs so answer this question: do you think it's possible to build an SStO (or even a plane) that works with FAR and that has the same "wow factor"? let me know i'll begin with this dull design of mine
  10. no, that comment was some sort of provocation, of course i wouldn't call it a base
  11. so i can call base my unmanned rover? [EDIT] oops, this was meant to be a reply to razark
  12. even if it is only one module you can call it "base" as long as it's not temporary and it's the centre of your operations in the area
  13. so this is a replica of a replica? just kidding, nice work!
  14. the only part that seriously needs to be deleted is the adanced canard. i never used it, i've never seen someone using it, plus it looks terrible (at least in my opinion, sorry C7).
  15. thanks for the feedback! you won't be disappointed by infernal robotics, it's really game changing.. i'd really like to see something like it in the stock parts
  16. after weeks of waiting (this craft was designed in 0.20, but survived perfectly in 0.21) the mun radiotelescope project is completed! since i'm using ferram and my kerbals havent invented three metres rockets i designed a foldable telescope that could fit in an extended 2 metres fairing from KW rocketry. here's the rocket on the pad (landing legs stick out a bit, but i couldn't do much about it) second stage during circularization rendez vous with the mun transfer vehicle approaching Nektar base landed and fully deployed!! let me just tell you this landing was painful, my computer was melting and i forgot to put an asas on the thing (the probe body was from clayra pack i think, so no built-in asas).
  17. the inconsistency of the values of the fuselages are likely due to the fact that those are amongst the oldest part still in the game. if i remember correctly C7 has stated that he would gladly redo all the aviation related parts (though he said this before B9 was hired as a dev, so i'm not sure if they'll assign him the job). so there's really no need to work on those old moels, as they will be probably replaced.
  18. Yes, this is the best i can do.. i've never managed to build a bigger one though, neither now that i'm using FAR nor before
  19. kosmos pack, it's a must-have http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/showthread.php/6680-Collection-Kosmos-Spacecraft-Design-Bureau-%28SSPP-4-1-6-12-12%29?highlight=cosmos i'm using it, and it works perfectly in 0.17
  20. Are you sure that wasn't debris from one of your missions?
