Do you have a screenshot that makes you laugh every time?

No, the ship isn't the size of the kerbal's head... Or is it? You decide! -

Oh nice. I didn't know Spacedock could do that. Thanks! -
[1.2.1] SimpleConstruction - Stock rocket building v3.3
Pixel of Life replied to MatterBeam's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Where can I get older versions of the mod? Need the latest 1.0.5 one, 1.1.2 is far too unstable at the moment. I'd recommend uploading all releases to github or something. -
1.1 is seriously bugged, but comes it as a surprise...
Pixel of Life replied to Temeter's topic in KSP1 Discussion
See, this is exactly what I'm talking about. They could've just pushed the 1.1 release back by 2 weeks and had their vacations before the release, but nooooo, they absolutely had to release 1.1 when it was clearly not finished, which then forced them to do a half-assed job at fixing all the bugs so they could get it done before their vacations, and then left for two weeks leaving us with this buggy mess. Their release schedule is way too tight, they need to slow down or they'll be causing one of these crapstorms every time they push out a bigger update. Come on, Squad, we know you can do better because we've seen it! -

Pixel of Life replied to Temeter's topic in KSP1 Discussion
So you're saying it's OK for the devs to suddenly go on a vacation and leave the game in a barely-playable state for two weeks, something that could've been avoided in the first place if they hadn't rushed the release and had done proper QA? Yeah, they're free to do whatever the hell they want to, but that's still a [REDACTED] move. Fix the bugs first and then go on a well-earned vacation. Not the other way round. -
No fuel switcher. Building a nuclear spacecraft has been a major PITA ever since the LV-N was modified to only use LiquidFuel. Rocket fuel in KSP is a mix of 9 parts LiquidFuel and 11 parts Oxidizer so using a normal fuel tank with LV-N's means you're carrying less than 50% of the tank's actual capacity in LiquidFuel, and thus also carrying lots of dead weight because the tank is more than twice as big as it needs to be. E: Oh, this thread is about spaceplanes. Sorry. I'll show myself out...

Children of a Dead Earth: realistic space warfare game

Interesting. The graphics are sort of meh at the moment, hopefully he'll improve them at some point. Does anyone know what game engine this is running on? -
Windows 64bit (FOR GOD'S SAKE PLEASE DON'T MERGE)
Pixel of Life replied to Andem's topic in KSP1 Discussion
The 64bit workaround never crashed on me, and I ran enough mods to push the RAM usage well above 7 GB. The official 64 bit build, on the other hand, crashes frequently even if I don't install any mods. The first time I tried it I managed to play for maybe an hour tops before it crashed.- 16 replies

KSP and Minecraft. I also got Trackmania Turbo a few days ago and have been rekking n00bs on Canyon Grand Drift (I used to play A LOT of Trackmania 2 Canyon so I'm pretty damn good at it).

Nothing beats the SpaceX parody of Uptown Funk, though.

I don't really like how the Model 3's front looks. It's just... so weird looking when it doesn't have a large grille/air intake. It looks like there should be one but it has fallen off or someone has stolen it. I'd rather take a Model S. Would buy one in a heartbeat if I had an extra 200k € burning a hole in my pocket. Alas, I'm poor and can't even afford the crappiest of gasoline/diesel powered cars E: And the interior... No. Just no. Way too empty, and that huge horizontal screen is just ugly. If you removed the steering wheel it wouldn't even feel like you were in a car. The Model S's interior has a nice balance between old and new tech.

Does anyone actually use the first level runway?
Pixel of Life replied to Prasiatko's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Wut? I think you made a mistake there. A slippery surface has LESS friction than a non-slippery one. -
Does anyone actually use the first level runway?
Pixel of Life replied to Prasiatko's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't grass actually have less friction than asphalt and concrete? You'll know this if you've ever ridden a bicycle over a patch of long grass and braked hard, or watched any motorsport that takes place on a paved circuit and seen a driver go off the track and onto the grass. The problem with taking off from a grass surface isn't the friction, it's the fact that the landing gear will sink into the soil a bit (or a lot, depending on the number of wheels and the mass of the aircraft) and that creates a lot of extra resistance because soil is extremely viscous. -
This is why I love Linux.

Back when Messenger was a thing (maybe like 7 or 8 years ago), I tried creating a Microsoft account with my last name (korhonen) but it was already taken so I had it suggest other usernames instead. One of the suggestions was "cpt_korhonen" and I picked that one.

[1.2][v0.9.7]Kerbal Live Feed - Interstellar Flight Inc (FORK)
Pixel of Life replied to Stavell's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Edit: Ignore what I wrote here before the edit (if you read it). Looks like there was something weird going on with my regional settings - I decided to try changing the decimal symbol setting back to a period expecting it to break again but it didn't. I have no idea what was happening and why even a repair install didn't fix it but it seems to be working now. -

Any way to export the Kraken model?
Pixel of Life replied to Csongor Kerman's topic in KSP1 Discussion
3D Ripper DX. Launch KSP through the ripper, go to Bop, then hit F12 to rip the scene. Make sure you tick the "also capture to Wavefront .obj" checkbox in 3DRDX so you don't have to install any plugins to import the scene. Then import the file to Blender/3ds Max/whatever, find the Kraken, select it (it'll most likely be made up of several pieces, or "draw calls"), invert the selection and delete to get rid of everything else. You'll probably need to scale and/or rotate the Kraken model afterwards to make it look right as it may be almost completely flat on one or more axes. -
DarkMultiPlayer 0.3.8.0 [KSP 1.12.0]
Pixel of Life replied to godarklight's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
If anyone's bored, I've got a basic 10-slot KSP 1.0.5 server running at seekay.asuscomm.com:6702. It's on a Raspberry Pi 2 Model B and I'm trying to see if it can actually run the server properly. Any help would be appreciated Allowed (but 100% optional) mods are Kerbal Engineer, Kerbal Alarm Clock, Editor Extensions and Transfer Window Planner. KER's Engineer Chips have been disabled to avoid part discrepancies between players since KER is an optional mod. -

64 bit, and using the exe version. I tried to repair my Windows install but that didn't work. It just suddenly stopped working a month or two ago even though it was working fine before that. Edit: Alright, I found the problem. KLF doesn't like it when the system is using a period as a decimal symbol. It has to be a comma or the program will just hang on startup just like it did on my computer. You might want to do something about that.
