  1. Finally, my Sirius Mk.III has landed successfully on a slope at Minmus, with 7 kerbals on board. (4 astronauts + 3 tourists) The kerbals are trying to do an entertaining pose on the picture. After that, they return to Kerbin safely. Then, in the next few missions, I have came across a numbers of setback, that causes some annoyance to me. One of the contracts wants to launch a satellite to the Mun, with Mystery Goo, accelerometer, materials study, antenna and solar panels. So I quickly setup my satellite and launch to the Mun. When the satellite arrives in Mun designated orbit, and patiently wait for 10 seconds, the contract hasn't completed yet. So I check the on-board equipment...... Solar Panel.......... CHECK! Battery..........CHECK! Material Bay......... CHECK! Mystery Goo.......... CHECK! Antenna............. I forgot to bring an antenna! I finally figure out why its signal strength is bad. After thorough discussion in the mission control, they decided it would become a Mun Impactor for SCIENCE. (I have installed Interstellar mod that could collect SCIENCE with impact) I have deployed the Vesta Seismic Probe on the Mun surface for collecting the impact data. (Another one is on route to Minmus) Doing the deorbit burn........... .........and, POOF! 100% distilled SCIENCE (I didn't capture the explosion though) Then I sent another modified Sirius Mk.III to collect 400 ores on the Mun for the contract. After arriving at the Mun Canyon, I found out I didn't bring any Engineers on board. It became a long mining operation consists of 60~70 days. After the tedious mining, I sent them to the Kerbol orbit for more crew XP. (They have been in space for 70 days. How bad could it be for adding 20 days more?) So they have to clam into the capsule for 20 more days! Hope they have enough snacks to compensate that.
  2. This happens to me recently when I talked to my family. *News talking about the "Super Moon"* Me: "That's funny. The news said the Mun is the only satellite on Earth. There should be two satellite around Earth." Family: "Two?! Which two?" Me: "Well...... Mun and Min.......................................... Wait..........."
  3. Usually when I start to develop a new rocket series, I scout the names in the spacecraft name generator and look for a suitable one. Ah......... The Tortoise, it's PREFECT, I'll use THAT!!!
  4. A "contract" is just an agreement with other parties, where in KSP, you have to meet the obliged goal to receive the reward. A "mission" is the planning and operation to reach the goal you set up. In which case, it could be the objectives of your contracts, or ANYTHING, like blowing up kerbals for no reason.
  5. It's not a rule, it's a general phenomenon That's why I am not too excited and board the HYPE TRAIN, when the Warcraft and Assassin Creed movie come out. Here might be the reason why (by MatPat!)
  6. I don't think the movie should be some kind of big production for the theaters. (cause it will be mostly suck that way) Maybe a small project with a considerable amount of budget, for some talented Youtubers, like Nassault, HatBat, Macey Dean, Matt Lowne.... etc (I know there are a lot of talented people there, pls contribute to the list if you like )
  7. While my Sirius Mk. III prototype still travelling to Minmus, I tried to design a SSTO prototype to LKO, using the "Panther" jet engine and T-45 rocket engine. (I haven't unlocked the tech 4 jet yet ) After few failed attempts, I successfully put it to LKO, with only 66m/s delta-v left! Here is the Meteor Mk. I prototype in orbit, with Valentine Kerman as the test pilot. After the deorbit burn, I have exhausted all my fuel, so I have to glide to the nearby landscape. With Valentine's BADASS skill, the plane landed in ONE piece. Valentine decided to plant a flag on the landing site for a little celebration. And......Have a HAPPY NEW YEAR 2017 everyone!!!
  8. CONGRATS on your FIRST Mun landing! It always is a pain in the ass for the first time Maybe you should try Minmus next. Should be much easier for landing, just leave some delta-v for the plane change.
  9. During the journey to Duna, I have decided to take some contracts around Mun and Minmus to earn some funding and SCIENCE. Here is one of my most commonly used Sirius Mk.II spacecraft for Mun and Minmus contracts. It could take 3 kerbals and consists of a SCIENCE module. Shelgun Kerman pilots it to rescue Hudmy and Sigte Kerman around Minmus, then land on it for SCIENCE. Now it is on an escape trajectory to Kerbol orbit for crew XP. Then I spent my time to redesign my Sirius spacecraft to Mk.III. By upgrading it to NERV engine, it could now take 7 kerbals to LKO with ~3200m/s delta-v. Here is the picture of Sirius Mk.III taken after rescuing Catiella and Hainie Kerman in LKO, and Mitcas Kerman on Mun surface, with 3 tourists on board. I have failed and save/load multiple time for the precision landing. (I have forgot how to land with NERV apparently ) , I finally landed about 1.1km apart from the distress craft. Then I think......... and call it a day. Jebdock Kerman is the pilot and captain for this mission, now they are transferring to Minmus and going to land on there for the tourists' contract. (and MOAR SCIENCE of course!!!)
  10. The Stock Master Race and the Filthy Modding Peasant. Haha. PRAISE THE GLORIOUS STOCK MASTER RACE! Oh..... I have just created the issue, didn't I?
  11. I usually just stick to the stock music, it just felt too bend with the game environment. But some occasions, I listen to EVE Online OST or Interstellar Soundtrack. It really captures the space atmosphere.
  12. After designing and assembling my first interplanetary cruiser in career code, I could finally send kerbals into Duna! It is called D.R.E.S. (Duna Reserach & Exploartion Spacecraft) - Kragon Here is the cruiser Kragon just before leaving the Kerbin SOI and Happy Holidays to all of you!
  13. Mako-Class Missile Corvette Description I have made a while back in 0.19, it is the first battleship that successfully launched into orbit. (But the new version kinda break my ship's launch, so it might take time to made it to be ready for 1.0) Roles and Armaments Served as an anti capital-ship missile corvette, it could armed with either 4 SRB torpedoes for short range, or 4 Guided Missile for long range. Inspired by Macey's Vanguard SRB torpedoes, the missiles could slice any capital-ship with ease. It also has reloading mechanism that could reload or change its armament using a refilling vessel. Crew Capacity Normally, the ship would have 3 crews for normal operation, but it could consist of 6 crews while fully loaded. It has a commanding bridge on top of the ship with capacity of 2 crews and a secondary bridge at the bottom mainly used for communication. Also, it is an escape pod that could contain 3 crews, which could detach from the main ship while emergency. Propulsion Its propulsion system consists of 1 "Skipper" Liquid Engine for combat situation, and 6 LV-N Atomic Rocket Motors for interplanetary travel. It has about 4500m/s delta-v while fully refilled with LV-N engines. Please leave a comment if you like it. I might share the craft after I have finished my modification to 1.0 Also, I would demonstrate the weapon system, refuelling and reloading process on this post later.
  14. This is my aerocapture scene on Kerbin when my interplanetary cruiser (KSA Discovery) return from Duna.
