  1. Mission to Laythe, followed by a long-term base (to knock out SWARM when they arrive). EDIT: I'm a practical thinker. And I do remember that the SWARM ships came from the direction of the Jool system, so if there's a manned outpost there already, it may deter SWARM from doing any funny stuff.
  2. Landing upright? Shouldn't matter. The torque of the probe should be more than enough to right the craft if it falls over. Also, you can use the torque to roll over Gilly's surface if you are on your side. Just a note, low orbit around Gilly is under 5 km (If I remember Scott Manley's statement correctly).
  3. Your welcome. Oh, and I'm surprised I didn't notice earlier, but nice TARDIS. Or is that an authentic Police Box?
  4. Uh... I think that it's a good idea to not put : in front of D.
  5. Nice... Nice. You do some good storytelling, sir. I was not expecting that until the camera. Excellent job.
  6. Yeah... I see a HAL moment coming in the near future.
  7. A lot of people have better stuff to do rather than troll. They just decide not to do those things.
  8. Nice! The reporters always seem to end up knowing everything somehow. I wonder why that is...
  9. Nice, man. This is on the same level as czokletmuss's AARs.
  10. Well, if you're dealing with Ion drives, what you're proposing is actually valid. The ion drives have such a low acceleration, that you would use a lot more Delta-V than is necessary than if you burn multiple times at periapsis.
  11. From what I understand about the Impulse Drive, it's based on ejecting helium from a hydrogen-fusion reactor that also produces power for the ship. So, basically all it's doing is fusing hydrogen and ejecting the helium produced and using everything else for power.
  12. Dunno. You named Eve 'Gilly'. Just making sure you notice your fail.
  13. #296: Re-enact Operation Best Buy with your friends but following Walmart dress code instead.
  14. I agree. This is practically professional-grade, final-draft, ready-to-be-published book quality. All it needs is an excellent title and an excellent book cover. When it's finished, that is.
  15. Hey, how about you play off the fact that the majority of parking orbits around Earth that are commonly used have an inclination of 5 degrees or more?
  16. I'm not sure, but I might write something like this in the future. Keyword: might.
