  1. ah ok my bad. I saw on the first page a graph showing silicates as a source of lithium, made my first colony/base on a spot without any other resource to get lithium but saw I had some silicates. Ah well, guess i'll have to ferry some over from somewhere else. Thanks for clearing that up, thought I was going crazy.
  2. So after many many attempts of doing a career save with interstellar Extended i've finally getting the hang out it and learning very quickly the versatility of ISRU bases/colonies. However one thing I cant seem to find in the refineries.. where is the silicates processing done at? and is there something I need in order to see the option?
  3. Hopefully this is an issue that someone can help me with. I was playing through a career mode and after updating KSPIE I suddenly saw the Thermal power generator wasnt showing up in my VAB and SPH, despite having two nodes ahead of that tech unlocked and seeing that the part is unlocked. Also, I have a nuclear probe in flight already with that generator and it works fine. When I try to launch another one of those probes at the launch pad it says I cant because the Thermal Power Generator is an experimental part as if from a contract despite not having a contract for any "test this part"..
  4. I can also say I got that error as well, along with the same error with a few other mods like extraplanetary launchpads and a few others. Somehow I got them to approve the update but now they dont actually load into the game... EDIT: got CKAN to allow it to be updated. but now my game is completely broken..dont know if its KSPI-E but i know i cant click on any building facility, or tracking station, and when i go into RnD building I cannot leave it ever..lots of Null exceptions in debug menu...

  6. So I'm new to EL, but it sounded really cool so trying it out. Slightly run into a bit of confusion/trouble. I have a small base on minmus in a career mode save that i am attempting to build a craft but its not doing it, and the reason is I think is that my vessel has no productivity despite having a survey module and 2 command pods, all filled with somewhat smart kerbals. Now when i try a game in sandbox everything works correctly and has productivity. Is there something I have to do in career to get it to work or is something just borked on my career save?

Hopefully im putting this in the right section of forums lol but i launched an unmanned science lab intended to go to minmus, while in orbit of kerbin and behind it, i deployed the large solar arrays. then switched to map view and noticed my electric charge went up...did this a view times and all of a sudden im back at full charge. Just thought i would mention this just in case anyone else wants to try and replicate this. EDIT: just messed with it more, it only gives my charge if the arrays are out and i switch to map view.
  8. i've played since the days before a Mun and time warps and orbital maps...where the only way to know if you were in orbit or not was to leave the damn game on all night Only bought the game the day .15 came out though...

  10. if it is shorter (or just changed) and does cause those applications and the common knowledge to go out the window due to obsolete-ness. I think that would kinda be a good thing, and in fact i hope every now and then the devs should tweak a few things with the planets like that. It adds a bit of variety to the flights and missions. and would open the doors for more people to try and make a system to track the changes and help spread the new knowledge about.

  12. damn, that thought occurred to me almost the moment i landed... guess ill try and do some cfg magic to flip the ship out with one that has the fuel lines (yeah im lazy that way lol) thanks for answering
  13. [bumping this because still have this issue ] So i've run into a bit of a problem i think... I built an aluminum hybrid rocket with a refinery to hop around the Mun collecting science (pretty much its a copy of Scott Manley's Outlander ship ) and i have a relay system powering it, I can mine alumina, and use it to activate the aluminum electrolysis option and it uses the alumina, but its not giving me any aluminum or oxidizer at all...i even time warped for an hour in game and nothing.. am i doing something wrong or did i break something in my files somehow?

  15. I recently got back into KSP after a long break. And just started playing .23.5 when i noticed something rather odd...i did not have the node that included the new "claw device" and i also had other issues with my save file. Which is where i believe the problem lies...all i did was transfer off my save file from .23 ...and i thought i heard rumors that there might be some issues doing that... and just to completely fix the issues i was just going to start from scratch with a new career file...but i dont want to start from complete scratch..i was wondering where one might make a few edits in a
