  1. Well my Munbase is underground trapping Bill & Jeb, but apart from that everything's fine. Performance has improved massively on my 2GB Ram, Core 2 Duo machine. I can now run at default settings rather than having to stick all the graphics settings to their lowest. Hooray for optimisation!
  2. I apologise if this has already been asked (skimmed comments, couldn't see it) - but does MechJeb 1 work with KSP 0.20? Some of my old space stations still use it, so would either have to deorbit them or just start afresh if MechJeb breaks them.
  3. Interesting stuff. I wondered how the directional casing would survive the blast. The obvious answer - it doesn't! It only needs to survive for a few ms to be effective.
  4. To be fair, the best way to get around Earth still uses 1930s technology! How exactly does nuclear pulse propulsion work anyway? Most of the damage from a nuclear bomb comes from the movement of the air, but in space there's obviously no medium to transfer the energy. Is it "just" the radiation pressure from the blast, or is the bomb wrapped in a medium that is vapourised to provide usable thrust?
  5. Think about it in the simplest terms possible; instead of spaceships, use something like electricity or light. Imagine you have a single button that controls a lightbulb at one end of a room. Press it, and a signal will travel along the wire at the speed of light and turn on the bulb. Now a second bulb at the other end of the room is connected to the same button. The signal will still travel at the speed of light to both bulbs, giving a relative speed of ~2c according to the stationary observer. Adding the second bulb can't change the speed of the signal - imagine how complicated electronics would be if it did! (I think I've explained that properly... maybe).
