Do you play KSP with the Steam or the KSP Store version?
Shuttle replied to CaptRobau's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I bought KSP in official store but now I play through Steam because I have all my gaming library there. Steam also has higher download speed. -
Anyone else not really care for the career stuff?

Oh my God, I hope they are not going to simplify them! -
Heavy planes break the runway in 0.25?
Shuttle replied to mrwinesauce's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
I would like to see a comment from the community manager. This is a bug that needs to be fixed. Even if the plane is too heavy for the runway, it shouldn't blow up. -
What does this update have to offer if I play only Sandbox mode? Judging by the video, the only new feature is a couple of plane parts I don't want to start playing career mode because I am sure it won't be interesting for me to finish it more than once.

Devnote Tuesdays: The Calm Before the Storm Edition
Shuttle replied to SQUAD's topic in KSP1 The Daily Kerbal
Yes! I hope developers will improve it! Awesome screenshot! -
No, thank you for pointing that out. However, I've always thought all those features were sandbox related: If aerodynamics is not a new feature for sandbox, then it is a career mode feature then? It doesn't make sense.

I am disappointed. If I want to blow a building up, I'll launch Battlefield. KSP is a game where you spend most of the time constructing and launching rockets so I personally think physical model, aerodynamics, avionics, life support, interface (separate thrust control for shuttles? Nah, haven't heard about it) are the components that need to be improved in the first place. But it looks like developers have changed the conception and are now developing FlatOut in Space. Yes, I know that it is just the ground work blah-blah, but the developers still had to create 3D-models for the destroyed buildings! That requires time that could be spent on improving more important components of the game. Also, I've been playing KSP since 0.8.x, .24 was the first update I skipped and it looks like I'll skip .25 for the same reason - it doesn't offer anything new in the sandbox mode. I think this is the second mistake made by the developers - not everyone plays career mode, and a lack of new features in sandbox makes people bored. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/94770-Secret-feature-is-completely-underwhelming?p=1438507&viewfull=1#post1438507 Very disappointing. "may get another look"? I can't believe it.

I don't know, FEAR1 released in 2005 had better explosions, IMO: http://i.imgur.com/P7eKrNx.jpg Not to mention Crysis 1 from 2007.

Is it possible to connect parts like this without additional adapter? I haven't been playing KSP for a while.

Apollo was a lie, ISS does apparently not exist etc.
Shuttle replied to Dedjal's topic in The Lounge
I came across a Russian community that claims ALL space flights starting with Gagarin till the latest ISS supply missions are fake! There are mad people in every country, I guess. -
Another Proton rocket failure - May 15, 2014
Shuttle replied to Woopert's topic in Science & Spaceflight
http://ria.ru/spravka/20140516/1007977522.html According to this link, rocket fell outside of Kazakhstan, maybe in Altai or Pacific Ocean. -
Russia can announce anything. We've already seen a lot of projects cancelled so I no longer trust these announcements. I also googled a little trying to find something new about this Russian heavy rocket OP mentioned and found out that, luckily, Russian news websites have an official English translation! Take a look: http://en.ria.ru/russia/20140128/186987052/Russian-Space-Agency-Plans-Worlds-Biggest-Rocket.html http://en.ria.ru/russia/20140424/189348744/Russia-Gives-Green-Light-to-Super-Heavy-Rocket-Project.html About Zenit: http://en.ria.ru/world/20140424/189349191/No-Plans-to-Produce-Zenit-Rocket-in-Russia--Roscosmos.html

Why didn't they install two ascent engines? -

Very interesting thread, thank you! I googled a little and here is what wiki says about soviet lunar space suit Krechet-94: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krechet-94 -

http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/content/254-Squadcast 24:05 MaxMaps says big parts are only possible because of new joint system, Harv seems to agree. Interesting.

I hope .23.5 will feature improved part-to-part joints.
