Guys, the thread\'s almost a month old. I\'m fairly sure he\'s chosen a name by now.

Get yourself the Damn Robotics parts pack and put the panels on rotating servos? -

Huh, interesting. By that logic the small Probodyne structural parts should work as well. Though I have built an X-shaped claw manipulator in the meantime, so I might as well just launch that.
-
So it\'s a technical limitation? Darn. Yeah, but how do you build that?
-
Is it just me, or are all these parts massively oversized? I tried putting a manipulator arm on a rover to move spent stages around and de-clutter my Munolith base, but to my dismay I found out even a fully closed claw doesn\'t grasp a 1m tank completely (mind you, I found that out after I put the damn thing on the Mun). If I so much as touch the steering controls, the damn thing slides right out again. IMO pretty much all of these should be about half the size they are now.

Yeah, they do. -
0.15 Easter eggs? (Obviously possible spoilers inside)

Was it? I must have missed that. -

Well yes, it is quite evil-looking. But it\'s completely benign, I assure you. Ignore the gaping metal maw rimmed by rows of steel teeth. That\'s just a garbage chute. -

There is now a permanent research base at Munolith 1. The search for the quasi-mythical Tranquility Base is ongoing. -

I don\'t think the solar panels work as intended, Nova. They don\'t stay unfolded when the vessel is unloaded and reloaded (such as when resuming a saved game). When the vessel is loaded they start out in the folded position and immediately start unfolding. IMO the Probodyne panels controlled by their own button work better. At least they stay up across multiple sessions. -

On a different note, has anyone found Tranquility Base that Mu mentioned earlier? -
Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait a minute! Space program? I thought this was a fireworks simulator. ???
-
I have no idea what that even means. How are explosions not child friendly?

KSP does not install at all, you just copy it wherever you want it and play it from there. Which version are you using? The 13.3 version is a free demo, if you have that you can\'t save your game. The 14.4 full version should save the game automatically (make sure you click 'Space Center', not 'End Flight'). You can also use F5 and F9 for quicksave and quickload. As for the update error message, that\'s just the Updater\'s quaint way of saying that you\'re using the latest version available to you (13.3 or 14.4 depending on whether or not have you purchased the full version). Much like the game the Updater is a work in progress and this is one of the things that need to be fixed.

Yeah. I think it\'s quite telling that at the beginning he says he\'s an architect. I can see how it could be useful for like making presentations of architectural designs and such. But it\'s nowhere near precise enough for actually working with and I don\'t think it would make much of a gaming platform either.
-
Am I the only one not really impressed by that? Every single thing he does can be accomplished more easily with a mouse and keyboard, IMO. The software itself is quite neat, but there are other programs very similar to it that you can run on your PC. I just don\'t see the point of this.

Welcome to the KSP Forums! Yes, KSP is still in alpha phase, features are still being added. You can download the free demo, which is effectively an outdated version of the game. Or you can buy the current version along with future updates for... err, what is it, 15 bucks now? Happy Launching! Arrr! Admiral Sordid
