My room's window is pointing west, and whenever it's a clear sky I just keep looking out my window till I see it. I can see it almost every clear day just before dusk.

Definitely going to take some pictures during these days!

Aaahw, what a cutie. My cat died about a year ago I'm also thinking of adopting a new kitten somewhere this next few weeks. I'm currently looking for work, as soon as I got something less temporary, I'm taking in a kitten.

For Questions That Don't Merit Their Own Thread
hugix replied to Skyler4856's topic in Science & Spaceflight
I suspect it is in the lensing since blue / orange hues are a very common (and pretty) color scheme http://www.slashfilm.com/orangeblue-contrast-in-movie-posters/ -
For Questions That Don't Merit Their Own Thread

While browsing this thread on Moon images I've decided to upload my own... While browsing my pictures I found this one. It is not the best image, but it has something peculiar that I've seen once before through a telescope. That weird blue hue on top and orange on the bottom. What is it? Sometimes when I look at the moon through a camera or telescope the Moon gives this weird dual colored glow. -
"Space Launch System" needs a better name!

"thingamajig" Because it would sound awesome in the launch commentary! -
I love taking pictures of the Moon when it's almost full. That way you get to see lovely craters in the terminator line. I'll upload some pics I've made.

I did copy my save folder a couple of times onto a stick and took it to work. But this does not always work. There are the times leave from somewhere else to work or I leave in a hurry. (sometimes renters are to early or need more help than usual. I can't tell them to wait because KSP...)

Heey KSP forums I work in a venue that also can be rented for private parties.during these parties I only have to be there to answer questions and to assist in case of a emergy. Meaning I have a lot of hours I don't have to do anything but play KSP and keep an eye on the people. Is there a way I can open a save at work and at home? So I can play a carreer mode in my free time and during my babysit shifts? Can I place a shortcut to a dropbox folder in the /saves folder both at home and at work? Or something like that?

For the first time ever, i have seen the ISS. Who else has?
hugix replied to ChrisSpace's topic in The Lounge
NASA has a email service that sends you E-mails / text messages that alert you when a visible pass is near your area. spotthestation.nasa.gov It works quite well I've seen the ISS about 20-30 times now thanks to the alerts. -

Math is a invention used to make physical things abstract. So we can work with them better. Thinks of this example. A school has a yearly outing. Students get to choose between three different trips. One survival, one cultural and one sailing. A teacher in the school keeps track of how many students choose for each camp and keeps the numbers in a chart. This chart is a conceptual representation of the choices and do not necessarily represent the students, you can't pick a student out of the chart. It is a clever way to represent something unrepresentative.

I always do some roleplaying in my head when I perform certain actions. So I don't forget stuff like this. "Jeb, this is KSC. Stand by for time warp" "KSC, this is Jeb. standing by for pre warp check" "Panels pointed toward kerbol?" "Pointing panels toward kerbol" "Panels pointed towards Kerbol" "SAS, of??" "SAS off" "RCS off?" "RCS off" "Jeb, you are GO for time warp!" ""

Feel ya bro! I was 'working' today, babysitting a bachelor party in the venue I work at. Guests where behaving perfectly and I had nothing to do but to make sure there was no fire. so I installed KSP on the computer in my office for a 'fun' KSP game.... Took me almost a hour to find and download all the mods that I wanted in my game! Cut my playing time in 1/3th... Ah well, was worth it

The Comprehensive Cooperative Easter Egg List of KSP

The image file for the launch clamps has a picture of Clamps from Futurama hidden in it. You'll find him if you open the image in a editor (like Paint). -
As a resident of the town Harderwijk in the Netherlands I frequently see the biggest man made object(?) ever. The Flevopolder. The Flevopolder now, Harderwijk is the biggest city on the mainland (with the big bridge towards the polder) This island was constructed up until 1968. Meaning the Space age already started. And I'd like to see images of the construction of the polder. The whole transition from sea, to a couple of dykes, to the island we have now. A few months ago I found a image repository of space to ground images made during the Gemini missions, these where amazingly sharp but I did not found any images of the Netherlands (I didn't really looked for that then though...). Can anyone here help me? (Note to mods : not sure about the board I should use, Science lab V.S. Space lounge, move this thread as you please )
