  1. When KSP crashes and generates a folder with a timestamp name, it generates 3 files, output_log.txt (which you posted), error.log and crash.dmp . Could you also let us see your error.log file?
  2. Check here to find out how to repair the folder's permissions (Repair Library Folder subsection): https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2274-IFLV-5334 If that doesn't work, I'd recommend you re-install the Steam application to a root folder (C:\Steam or something like that)
  3. We have confirmed this is a bug and we're working on it. There is a workaround, so you can still play Career mode in the time being, you can find it here:
  4. How are you toggling full screen? Though the game settings menu or using the macOS window management? (i.e. green window button/esc key). If the latter, it's not surprising that KSP would crash, that's not the right way to full screen games in general.
  5. What was the exact command you used to increase the address space size? Also, could you post your output_log.txt file (found in KSP_Data) and your computer specs?
  6. The persistent file for your save profile is damaged. You can replace it with one of your backups, in the Backups folder take the most recent one and rename it to just persistent.sfs (delete the timestamp). After that move it to the parent folder, overwriting the already existing, and damaged, persistent file.
  7. Hi, welcome to the forums. Please provide all the information specified here:
  8. You seem to have the exact same problem as what happened in this other thread:
  9. The problem is probably that you're using Spanish (Latin America) as a global Language. Try adding Spanish (Costa Rica) instead and move it to the top. If possible also make it your display language.
  10. That's the Windows settings menu, the one I want to see is the Control Panel, it gives more information on a single glance. It looks like this:
  11. What exactly is the keyboard thing that you tried to do? Can you post a screen capture of the Control Panel\Clock, Language, and Region\Language window?
  12. It seems you have a non-existent locale set on your computer. What is the one that's displaying? You can check on Control Panel\Clock, Language, and Region\Language
  13. Let's try something different now. Make sure your graphics drivers are not doing any scaling, you can set this on either the Nvidia or Intel Control Panel (right click any empty space on your desktop). Try the Nvidia Control Panel first, but if you don't see the setting try the Intel one. (Refer to the attached images for more details).
  14. When you say your drivers are up to date you mean you have version 388.59? There have been increasing reports of this issue in the last few days, so I'm starting to suspect the new driver version is to blame. Can you try manually installing version 388.43? If just doing so doesn't automatically solve the issue try the aforementioned registry fix, that goes as follows: Press your windows key and the R key simultaneously, this will bring out a Run window, type regedit and hit enter, in the Registry Editor that will pop out go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER->Software->Squad->Kerbal Space Program, in that folder you'll see a couple variables called ScreenmanagerResolutionWidth and ScreenmanagerResolutionheight, right click those variables and select Modify, set the value to 1280 and 720 DECIMAL ; you will also see a Screenmanager is Fullscreen variable, set that one to 0 DECIMAL, click ok.
  15. From your log it appears you have a 32 bit version of Windows and the slightly less than 4GB of RAM that that setup allows. This is not an ideal setup, but you can work around it. Go to your C:\Windows\System32 directory and look for a file called cmd.exe, right click it and select the Run as Administrator option, this will bring a command prompt with admin rights. Copy and paste (or type) this in the command prompt: BCDEDIT.EXE /Set IncreaseUserVa 3072 Restart your computer for changes to take effect. Then play KSP again and check if the crashing stops/becomes less frequent. That said, it is strongly recommend that you install a 64 bit version of Windows if at all possible.
  16. Is your spacecraft equipped with solar panels and batteries? It may be a case of your craft running out of electric charge.
  17. That's not entirely true, but the main idea is accurate. The launcher updated worked until 1.2 when we deprecated it in favor of smaller patch downloads. So right now in order to update, there's no need to download the whole game, but a differential patch file. Although for this specific case, the full installer will be necessary, since there's no 1.1.x -> 1.3.1 differential patch. Send an email to [email protected] containing your receipt of purchase so we can help you recover your account.
  18. For Unity as a whole probably, in the specific case of KSP your hardware is not supported. For KSP you need a bare minimum version of OpenGL of 2.1 and your graphics card only supports 1.4 , so sorry but you'll need to install KSP on a different computer.
  19. Hi, could you describe the problem a bit further? If it's hard to explain you can try making a screen recording with QuickTime to see the moments when the lag hits. I would also like to see more objective measures as to what exactly low FPS entails, for that you can fire up the performance graph in the Debug console. To do that, first go to System Preferences>Keyboard and check the option that says Use F1,F2,etc keys as function keys, after that you can summon the Debug Menu UI with ALT+F12
  20. You are being spammed with FMOD errors, which could indicate driver problems. I would suggest you install the latest version of your sound and graphics card drivers directly from the manufacturer's website, and if they have a clean install option in advanced settings choose that as well.
  21. Glad to see another one for whom it worked. You have to do it every time, but I created a sort of shortcut that you can download here . You just have to double click it, note that it assumes the KSP installation directory to be the default /Applications/KSP_osx , if you have KSP installed somewhere else it will not work.
  22. We're going to need to use the terminal a bit, hope you're comfortable with that. Open a terminal window and type 'cd '(notice there's a space after the d) after that, drag and drop your KSP folder to the terminal window and press enter. Next type (or copy and paste) thse two commands in that order: cd KSP.app/Contents/MacOS ./KSP -force-opengl
  23. You can either try the suggestions on the original post, the one Wyzard suggested or roll back to Sierra instead of waiting.
