  1. If you do have the new version, and I bet you do, because of the amazing space center you have there at your screen, you'll seen this Kerbals driving some kind or cars/trucks kind of thing. Elevators moving and many more crazy stuff is going on. If that is in the VAB and or the Space Plane hangar already, imagine the total Space Center someday. As we all know, this game isn't even nearly done yet. Too effected to change. Space Center on his own will change some couple of times for sure. Their will be roads someday. Even for the crazy Kerbals who drive them, and all sorts of things. But you have to see those things as finishing touch details. If the whole Space Center is done, with all the buildings and or features in place we can talk about roads, trees and all sorts of decoration. Right now, we are not even close to that..
  2. I think it's a little bit bombastic or something like that. It's good, but you don't want to hear it all the time through the whole launch process in my option
  3. I wonder something for a while now. Will R&D going to be a "unlock" the part thing only? Or does it (maybe not now, but at some point) support upgrades/downgrades of any kind? Cause it feels just really silly to research a Skipper for instants, and later on the Mainsail. The mainsail is pretty much a upgraded Skipper, or a Skipper is a downgraded Mainsail. Depends on how you look at it. Same for fuel tanks. Right now we have different shapes, and sizes and everything, different tanks for different liquid. But with tweakables coming in the picture someday, you should "tweak" the fuel sort right? There for you only need a different set of tanks in different sizes and shapes. (Maybe not even sizes. You could tweak or upgrade/downgrade that..) I don't see the need/the point of researching ten or twenty fuel tanks and or engines, if you can take just one basic tank/engine and upgrade it to a better one with more power or fuel, or downgrade it with less power or fuel. But again, I wonder because we don't really know what tweakables will be. Maybe we can change all those things in there?
  4. Don't get your hopes up. All the interviews/video's/Dev things I have seen lately all pointed out out that resources will be pretty much the last step of the game. Or at least, not coming any time soon..
  5. Hard to say what you need. Most users have amazing game rigs. Newest from the newest. It's still lags. KSP is still a 32 bit program. Even with 16 or 32 gigabyte memory, you encounter memory problems, BECAUSE it only supports up to 3. something gigabyte. It doesn't fully support multi-core as well. Point is, right now, KSP is hard to handle even if you have the hardware in house that should run it smoothly no matter what. You still experience lag on any kind of machine. Even the newest 24 core CPU on the market for insteads. Simply because KSP almost run on one core entirely/not fully have the support to use the other onces as it should. To make a good choice, look at other things you need/want to do with it. KSP is involving as we speak, and therefor not a good reason to make your choices from..
  6. Your not killing any Kerbal in that process. Revert (to launch or VAB) is taking back time, like the flight never happened in the first place. Basically it's recovering, but without the data being saved. The only way you can kill Kerbals (by canceling) is if you cancel a flight in the Tracking Station.
  7. You DO know your in a Alpha version of the game right? KSP has bugs. A lot of them. The game is evolving and getting more grown-up with each version/update. And like all grown-ups we fall and have to learn from that. Meaning that in every release you see some new set of bugs kick in. Just accept that part. Just relex, take a beer, enjoy the weather or god knows what. There is a whole life out there besides KSP. Loading times thingy is a bug. Is on the bug tracker already. Do your homework. They know it, they will fix it. If it's not with a 0.21.2 release, then in the new version, or in another version in the future. I'm no developer of any kind, but if I read; .. I would make you at least wait an extra two/three months for it until I would even consider to fix it..
  8. Put the MSD folder in your Gamedata folder. That's all you need. The source folder is for modders
  9. Probably not. The courage and stupidity levels seem to be total random at this point. Even when you hire a Kerbalnaut with full stupidity and no courage, when you put him in a rocket and start flying with him, his levels are suddenly totally different in the knowledge center. Work in progress I guess..
  10. Is there a way to get KSP on the second screen after you added this to the shortcut?
  11. Well, I hope it will be something that does deserve the name Mission Control. Like all the details of your mission. Stats, watching cam recordings from remote rovers and or bases. Communication stuff. I don't know. Plenty future features to think of. Some day science will kick in for real too. Something like that. Mission to Jool --> Mission Control --> Jool relative stuff. If I think about money management, I think more about an headquarter or an administration office building or something of that kind.
  12. I keep wondering; Every video/sneek peeks I've seen about the new SAS all spoke about a "lock mode" where you can edit your controls, but when you keep your hands of the controls it shoots into "lock mode" and lock the position you were in and just keep going like that. My SAS will not go in any locking state/mode or what so ever. It spins, or tries to steer anyway, or it even turned the whole rocket retrograde a couple of times totally on his own. I wonder.. What's the magic trick for that to just lock and let burn fuel instead of trying to be a auto-pilot when it's clearly not. Right now, it's fifty, fifty for both versions. The vids looked so promising and exciting, but it doesn't work like that in field testing. At least, not for me..
  13. A little bit more than that (wordwide), but who cares right?
  14. A rough ETA would be; in two until three weeks. That's rough. Something between a week until a month. They sort of did that. Experimental testing wouldn't be more than two weeks. Maybe three. Over 50 people are testing that release. You can catch a lot of bugs in that amount of time with that amount of people. Never the less, they never did an ETA on releases, and they never will. Just pay attention, keep a little sense, and you can do it on your own..
  15. KSPTV is a good concept, but it really needs some work. How much Time zones we are covering here? I don't know. At least it is a lot! It's hard to find a specific item back at the KSPTV stream. KSPTV is for me a weird stream because I almost never can watch "live". I have a different timezone, and there for; it middle in the night, or very, very early or something. My problem with Twitch is, is so focused to watch it live. To watch it right there, right now. With the live chat and all. You guys need to figure something out for the people who aren't live to have the same broadcast experience as the people who are live. If i DO find a specific stream back, as I said before -not easy to find- than I have a stream with multiple questions, explanations, interaction or whatever to the people who where their live right on the spot without a chat or anything on screen. The old setting was easy. Mondaynight, and Friday night. If you missed it, you could find it easily back. This, some sort of 24 hours live stream is a good thought, but you guys forgetting the time differents. Many people arn't live..
  16. Basically it's the (starting) POD. A lander can will automatically being seen a lander. A probe core as a probe. Two, three, four ships or probes docked together = Space Station. Something with wheels will be a rover. You can change all those thing, but that's the way the system will categorize them. Edit: as above said; Starting POD
  17. For the people who missed it: "Sadly that picture could only be obtained after said kerbal had digitally added nonsensical gas clumps to the sky that just look weird." Meaning; Those clouds are fake, not there/added to the picture..
  18. I know ISS is orbitting 407 KM above us. I just don't know the scale used in the Kerbal system..
  19. I totally see what your saying. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion! That's not what I'm trying to say. All I say, be realistic. You said your disappointing. You didn't see what you want in this update. I understand that. I'm just saying; Just because you don't like the features, or you wished there would be others instead it doesn't mean it's still an update. Like I said; You can't always get what you want. You may want resources or something like that, another want Crew stuff. It's hard to please the whole world. Nevertheless, it's an update. It's something new. It's one little step closer to a full version. Their exited enough to share that with us. Maybe you except to much from the game in it current state if it disappoint you?
  20. Every update is a good thing. Every new feature is a good feature in my opinion. It's so sad to see comments with; "What about this?", "When comes this?", "Still no resources?" The one thing I love about this update already is that we get to know this stuff so soon. I love the fact that they try to be as open as possible about the upcoming update. Give them some love for the things they DO come up with instead complaining about the things you want and or have to wait a little bit longer for. Because The Rolling Stones told us; You can't always get what you want..
  21. True, career add's a whole new dimension to the game. Same as the resources; it gives your Space Program a goal. HarvesteR agreed with that. And that's why they start focusing on career now. But you have to understand that both features I named here, aren't really features like flags which can be programmed in one single update. They are so huge! Adding a money system alone will not cut it. You need them in so many levels and directions of the game. It will come. Same as the resources. In little bits and peaces..
  22. They said in one of the latest dev streams; the first little steps to career. That's what I know..
  23. Simplicity is always the best. Easy but so great!
  24. In a nutshell; Public relations means something like the face of a company. You have close bands with your customers (in this case the community) and the company itself. The connection between it sort of speak. Mostly the people who get the most crap on there plates and have to deal with that to keep the costumer happy without putting the company in danger by some weird promise or solution which will cost there money or something. Again; in a nutshell..
  25. I want.. This; (Detecor) (Other view) (Small version) Nova's amazing work. Can't wait to see that on one of my crafts to detect some resources
