  1. Thanks! I'm working on a fuel conversion shop now. The difference in the tanker's empty/full weight are making things interesting for docking.
  2. I think people generally post their successes. If I'd kept all my footage I could have a montage of crashes and screw-ups.
  3. I finished pt2 of the Kethane tanker. Sent some Kerbals home, got the tanker landed, and started filling it up with delicious Kethane. <iframe width="853" height="480" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/aLsmvq4MYt4?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  4. Just finished uploading episode 5 - pt2 of the Kethane tanker. Some Kerbals go home, the tanker is landed, and we get some delicious Kethane. http://youtu.be/aLsmvq4MYt4
  5. I started a channel while working on my Mun base. So far I've got a little series going on about that and a nearby Kethane mining camp. Hopefully some day I'll have real commentary instead of just music and annotations. http://www.youtube.com/user/Mazlem
  6. Got a tanker truck down to my Mun base, and a landing stage hooked up to the fuel tank which is next to go.
  7. I finished editing ep4 of Kerbal Munsion - Got the tanker truck down to the base, and a landing stage hooked up to the fuel tank.
  8. Automatic for my daily driver, manual for my play car.
  9. I built a Kethane miner and after a few attempts managed to get some good video while sending it to the mining camp: http://youtu.be/kWSy57XMVcs Next up will be a tanker truck with more capacity:
  10. That's a body section from the Kosmos pack; pretty much there for looks and to space the fuel tanks out a bit.
  11. Just finished uploading video of moving Kerbal Munsion to its new spot ~3.8Km's from from what'll be the Kethane mining camp. I thought it'd be longer but the two pieces using rockets were fairly quick.
  12. I'm going to set up a Kethane mining / refining camp away from Kerbal Munsion (to curb lag). I took some video while finding a spot and planting the shuttle there.
  13. Thanks. I attached the 'arms' with docking ports. To build it again I'd use the radial attachment points.
  14. You don't need a server, just another computer. A server you'd find online and rent wouldn't be meant to play the game, and it'd be way more expensive than this project is worth (unless you *highly* value it). I'd find another computer for free/cheap and use that.
  15. A few days ago I sent a workshop to the Kerbal Munsion base so they can analyze and store samples and do experiments an such: Launch! Gravity Turn Dropping the pusher stage while making a Mun orbit (backwards, which I didn't fix cause I thought fuel would be an issue, an it's just landing anyway) Had to send a space tug up with a couple fuel tanks because... fuel issues... After a few tries, I got it landed ~1km from the base with 13.4 fuel left. Send in the MRV's! (This worked better than I expected) Safe an sound Here's a couple shots of Jenster working inside
  16. After that it was time for a fuel depot and utility vehicles: Fuel depot en route; had to meet up with a tug cause the auto-pilot forgot to extend the solar panels... Got it landed, but busted the engines and wasn't on level ground MRV I landed (they didn't tell me what that stands for, but it can move things around an refuel the shuttle an stuff) Fuel depot works! I decided to try an move the depot. Figured a second MRV aughta do it. Got everything organized so it was time for a group pic
  17. I started a basic Mun base back in .19 and recently got around to expanding it. Figured I'd post up some reports on my progress: The command center was sent up in three sections, all with wheels so they could drive over after landing and link up This was originally Jeb's buggy. He's on Duna right now, but had fun driving it around on the Mun and taking it up to the station for a no-RCS challenge. Recently I added a shuttle to ferry Kerbals up an down from the Munsion Junction station: Shuttle topping-off at Munsion Junction Gusrim had been on the station for a few years, so he hopped on board to go Mun-side with it Landed at the base
  18. Since Harv stopped updating the thread at ep10... Here's ep11 - And ep12, the finale - That's all folks!
  19. Saw the last episode; guess that's a no lol. Not sure why you wouldn't have filmed the last one using .20, but this was entertaining enough.
  20. Harv, are you set on ep12 being the last? What if you moved a utility or two a few km's away and began some sort of outpost? That'd give you better FPS at the main base and provide missions to move things/kerbals between them. Remember you've also gotta fix the Bull's Eye station!
  21. In 'The History of Timur-Bec', Kerbal is listed as a town between Ispahan and Abrecouh, in Iran. Ispahan is still there but I can't find anything on Abrecouh; maybe the spelling is different (for one, I noticed in the book they use a different character for 's'). After looking around I also found the city of Kerman, Iran. And there's another city of Kerman in California.
  22. Kenbob what's the stats on your desktop? That'd be better to focus on since it's likely upgradable.
  23. I think to the Kerbals, litho-braking is a perfectly valid option. Me too! *fist bump*
  24. With two L's! There's another Colonel O'Neil with only one L, and he has no sense of humor at all.
  25. I made the KSS Vincible with two docking nodes on each section: Also made this delivery ship using two nodes per side, and the modules it was delivering had nodes on their sides too - they actually docked together in addition to docking with the delivery ship. Once I got there and undocked one node for one module, both of that module's nodes undocked. Interesting but I'd hoped to send them both down in one piece.
