  1. I'm surprised the belt held out as long as it did. Mine goes out on a slightly unbalanced load.
  2. Tried adding to the discussion on the steam forum, but it's invite only.
  3. Added as well. Thanks for being my first actual friend outside of my kids! (kinda sad I know)
  4. Let's not bring the religious aspect into this. There are just some places we cannot live. There are not enough resources to support human life in some of these areas. It's too hot, not enough water, etc. Humans have a comfort zone, we can exist outside of this comfort zone as long as there is technology that brings it back down to the comfortable level (air conditioning, dehumidifiers etc.).
  5. I grew up in the Dakotas... it was coke.... all of it. Pepsi, mt.dew, sprite... it was coke.
  6. My nighthawk router is capable of 1300Mbps at 5ghz bandwidth.
  7. I grew up in the Black Hills of So.Dak. We had Sioux legends about the Windigo. A windigo is much scarier than slenderman. But as I said before, I spent countless ages in deep woods and the only eerie thing I've come across was a Bull Elk mating call. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYzWmKlZtrU
  8. Could be a great northern Tundra Wookie.
  9. Your body craves vitamin D, the only way to get the vitamin is from exposure to sunlight. You can't get it in a supplement and it's not found in any food we eat. Plus the warmth feels good, makes you happy, etc. So in short, it's good for you.
  10. I would add Accel World to that. Same universe (down to the historical Nerve Gear)
  11. Belief and proof are two wildly different concepts.
  12. People are in love with Star Trek because it is literally one of the longest running TV franchises to date. It attracts many people from all walks of life. Pretty much any sci-fi TV show you've ever seen was written by someone that was inspired by Star Trek. The show broke many boundaries in it's time (things you would find ludicrous) First interracial kiss on US TV. Uhura was depicted as a highly attractive and very intelligent woman, sort of a first in US film (rightfully so, she was a looker in her day). Oh and there are hundreds of Alien species depicted in the star trek universe. http://www.startrek.com/database_article_navigator Mods if I'm in the wrong, please delete my post.
  13. You can thank Star trek for inspiring the folks who have given us new technology. Matter transporters (it's in it's infancy, but they have transported matter). Phasers (lasers, handheld, ship mounted) Cloaking devices (technologically feasible) Medical scanning equipment. Hypospray. Transparent aluminum... yeah it's real. Communicators... cellphones. Even tractor beams (works on a nano scale right now)
  14. 24. Bigger is better IMHO, plus it's a BenQ. My monitor is a 42" lcd tv. I did do triple 22" monitors but kids needed one.
  15. Not only was it quick, It's a nokia. That means you if you drop it, the sidewalk cracks.
  16. I have lived a decent amount of time (36 years) I have been in deep woods abandoned buildings and abandoned mine shafts. I have never, ever seen anything that would constitute a supernatural encounter. These things are a construct of the mind. When it's dark and you have little light to go off of, the simplest things become ominous because your brain is trying to figure out what it is.
  17. Same thing a government building does in real life. It just looks like it's working, you throw money at it expecting something and then you forget what you were throwing your money for.
  18. I'm not sure his/her body could endure the harshness of the environment. It taxes full grown adults on top of the potential radiation exposure, it's not a forgiving place. I'm not saying that an adult has an immunity to radiation mind you, just that you wouldn't want someone that young to develop cancer at a very early age just because.
  19. Who doesn't know what Gundam is, is a better question. I like Bleach over Naruto. Tenchi Muyo war on Geminon is pretty good as well. Mechs, slightly ecchi.
  20. My bride is a mermaid. Funny, gags throughout. GTO- great teacher onizuka. Tearfully funny. Former gang member wants to be a teacher. Beelzebub. Baddest delinquent on the planet becomes surrogate for the devils kid. Arakawa under the Bridge. Heir to dads company comes across beautiful woman who lives under a bridge. He decides he wants to try to live like that. Funny as all get out. Detroit metal city. Group of absolute dorks are Japans hottest metal musicians. Fairy Tail. Funny, action Full Metal Panic! Teenage soldier sent to highschool to protect a girl. He fails at fitting in, but succeeds in kicking butt.
  21. Ie. Trolling Flat Earth Society forums... we all do it.
  22. Honestly. Seriously... The reason for vaccinations is to prevent outbreaks. Un-vaccinated are going to spread diseases faster and further. There are certain reasons to not get a particular vaccine (people in northern climates are not going to get the yellow fever vaccine on a yearly basis, unless of course they happen to visit tropical locations where the virus is present). Other than a real medical reason, there is no excuse not to vaccinate yourself or your family.
