  1. Since my non-spaceplane SSTO thread got downvoted immediately after it got posted (for being different??), I thought to reply that in a world filled with hate and despair, daring to dream is what we should all do. Because we can.

Yeah I don't get it either. It's an SSTO with, what I think, some pizaaz. KSP isn't about building what everyone else is building. It's about approaching the same problem, differently.

  2. Any news or updates on when KSP will be released for consoles? Specifically PS4 for me. I've only played the demo on my PC (it's a older slower laptop) but I've been following the game. Very much ready to play.

FYI, release date for anything Kerbal is *Soon. ie, you get it when it's done. No offense. That's just how it is. They are a small group of guys and we take stuff when we can and we are ecstatic when we get it. We PC folks are so stoked you console guys are getting your chance to play (at least I am), but you will come to love (or loathe) *Soon.

  3. Today, I built a LKO fuel Depot and attempted (unsuccessfully thus far) to get it into orbit. I'm trying different things, but I'm finally finding that my machine is stressing out... a first. I'm sending over 100k units of liquid fuel and an equal amount of oxidizer. 30k units of mono, 14k of battery, 8 giant solar panels, 4 small hitchhiker containers, lights... and then enough fuel and rockets to send it all up. It's insane. I'm still not quite there. It's my largest endeavour to date. Mechjeb is a blessing, but even it can't cope.

  4. Do you really think it makes much of a difference? Manned craft and UAV's remotely piloted by men kill innocent people almost on a daily basis already. The fact that there is a huge amount of innocent collateral damage seems of little interest. It is easier to believe that that truck with a family of 10 consisted entirely of evil terrorists.

Please note that I do not want to make this a political debate - it's just the status quo.

True, but humans also have to answer for their mistakes. They follow chain of command, and what if we get some bored kid who decides to hack into one of those drones and decides to unleash it's entire armament on the kid down the street (think swatting but deadlier)University of Texas has already shown how easy it is to take over a military class drone with commonly bought hardware.

Edit: I dislike armed drones period. autonomous or manned by a virtual pilot.

Hello, I thought, that i would be cool to type stuff in ANSCII, but really I\'m looking for good RTS game set in Modern age. Does anybody knows one? It can\'t be any WWII stuff, I want F-16s and AH-64sflying around. So does anybody knows one?

    EDIT:

What do you think about writting it in morse, so more people know, what is going on here?

  6. Not sure I can deal with an autonomous making life and death decisions. There is more to war than just killing bad guys. One has to take into account nearby structures, innocents who may be harmed in a strike (collateral damage) I think an AI would be too harsh in that regard. Entire missions have be scrubbed because the human element said the killzone was no good.

I am afraid I am becoming a minority in my thinking, the military really, REALLY, wants autonomous machines; I just don't think it's the right thing to do. But to answer your question... not too much longer. I'd say 10 years.

  7. Hi everyone, I just watched a video of the moon landings. They actually made me feel proud of humanity, but that feeling was completely erased when I looked at the comment section.:( A bunch of idiots were saying that the Moon landings were fake, and I tried to argue with them, but they just mocked me. Thus, I want to figure out how to convince at least a few of them that the landings were real. Please help me come up with ideas.

There is a laser reflector on the moon at one of the landing sites. How would it have gotten there?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lunar_Laser_Ranging_experiment

There are several observatories and labs that still shoot a laser at this site to find out how far the moon is escaping. Other countries have spotted the landing sites with their own spacecraft. Why would they lie? China for instance has seen Apollo 11's site with their own probeshttp://www.liveleak.com/view?i=0d8_1328628079

But as far as dealing with morons... doctors can make an ugly person beautiful, a fat person skinny... but they have never been able to fix stupid.

  8. I have two aircraft:

Why? ...., bombs, guns. And fun fact, it was the first aircraft ever designed to use radar.

Second is the A-10. Someone said "we have this awesome gun... let's make it fly." So they literally built a plane around a gun.

  9. With Republic Commandos

They look like shadow troopers to me. The Empire died, so it would make sense that there would be a new trooper.

x-wings speeding across a lake... YESSSSS!!!!

  10. To me it's funny how everyone thinks the reason for the officer to shoot him is just because he was black.

The charges should be dropped. You shouldn't go around with a fake weapon pointing it at the police.

  11. This is Truth, and I'm kicking myself for not including this in my criteria (see above). Of course, if item #4 is true, you probably won't have much luck ordering in English.

Another thing I neglected to mention, given the original post: I've personally categorized Freebirds under the "Americanized gourmet" style, but it's possible to make a minimist order that leverages a good sauce. Another chain that does a good job of approximating authentic meals is Cafe Rio--great tortillas, great sauces, and a recipe for carnitas barbacoa that will knock your socks off.

Americanized or not... it's a great burrito, personal opinion. Mama Ninfas (here in Houston) makes a killer burrito and fajitas that are to die for... literally, I'd die for them.
