  1. It's a mod...but unfortunately its forum post was eaten. Edit: Found it! https://www.dropbox.com/s/mnic1xho557pp34/EdTools.zip
  2. Someone's been watching Scott Manley. Good luck to you! I'd imagine it would work something like the Kethane mod. Finding where the resources are is a bit of a pain though. Maybe planets and moons will have at least some resources everywhere, but some places more than others? That way it won't be a total waste if you land in the wrong place.
  3. Well, they said they're going to implement a more robust backup system. That's kinda why we're back to October, the backup is incomplete.
  4. You end up breaking a wheel if your landing isn't absolutely level, because then the force isn't distributed evenly between all of the wheels. Got to kill that horizontal velocity early. Select space center. Unless you mean you selected space center and it ended the flight, in which case that shouldn't happen and I have no idea.
  5. The monster of excessive idle sessions and database corruption, it seems.
  6. Do what this guy did, use a leaf blower to clean it:
  7. Clean the gunk out of your heatsink! Assuming there is some, there usually is in untouched systems. My machine's air intakes have dust filters so HAH! I second the desk fan pointed at the case idea.
  8. There's probably some sort of structural failure going on around the CSM/LM connection. That's some pretty serious strut usage there, it shouldn't need that much reinforcement. Your CSM doesn't need that much fuel and a nuclear engine just to get back from the Mun. If you're using the CSM engine to get to the Mun, that's not right. Apollo used the third stage for the trans-Lunar injection from Earth orbit, and got rid of it when that was done. I did a similar thing and it worked with a X200-8 fuel tank (half the size of your CSM's one) and the Lv-909, with fuel to spare. Edit: Here's mine, it's sort of based of Scott Manley's KlonePollo. The launch vehicle is a standard thing reused for interplanetary launches, don't need that much power in the third stage to get to the Mun.
  9. Lol, I like that one. "Hey guise, we're on the Mun!" "YAAAAY!"
  10. I thought this would be a unifying subject to talk about: what brought you here? I myself first saw KSP from kurtjmac. At first I ignored it and watched FLoB, but then I sort of got into it and watched him crash a bunch of times. I narrowed my eyes and thought, "...I can do better than that." I then got the demo (this was around the middle of 0.18.4's lifetime, so the newer demo existed at the time). I was instantly hooked and got the game a couple days after.
  11. I believe they're intentionally disabled, something in the spoiler scripting is exploitable.
  12. Some people complain about this as being unprofessional. I don't think it is. Having dabbled in webhosting before, I know how crippling a database crash can be. It's amazing they got it up as fast as they did! Too bad the backup was a bit borked, but I guess these things happen.
  13. Mine, the Inquisitive 2. Based off the stock rover. The launch vehicle:
  14. Aw, that's a shame. I hope the exploit that caused them to be turned off in the first place gets fixed.

    Hello!

Oh, I know. Believe me, I know. I've had the game for a while now and am just joining the forum. I was about to, but then the outage happened.
  16. Yeah me too. It turns off completely at over 50x. It's probably by design. Edit: Oh shoot, I think I necroposted. The missing chunk of posts made me think this was recent.
  17. Since the station thread got eaten, I'll just put my station here. I call it Kerbimov. It was made in 10 launches, excluding the spaceplane, which is just visiting.

    Hello!

Greetings! I got KSP around the middle of 0.18.4, so before it went on Steam, but only just! During the forum outage, I was pretty active on the Steam discussion group, mostly helping people. I think I'll stay here now that the forum has risen from the grave. As for me, I'm 21 years old as of now, in college majoring in network engineering, and have an interest in the physical sciences as a hobby. I hope to have much fun with the awesome community!
