  1. here's a thought. At the eve of 1.0 release we broke all records of hype posting with the servers giving 404 errors with a new page every few seconds. Now with the new forum outline how will the servers behave? This hit me when i got a notification (along with a sound) that a new post was made at a topic i was reading. Imagine the day of the release each one of us who is watching this thread to hear a constant ''ping'' every second.
  2. very nice story so far can't wait for the rest. Can we see the bloopers video of the world's stupidest astronauts? Also at the end of chapter 2 how didn't the astronauts that dug up the monolith notice that post it since they were extra careful?
  3. There's also a guy that made a grand tour with only a jetpack
  4. Wow, i am really scared of Thompberry right now, keep up the great work.
  5. from the videos i saw i made the conclusion it still is at an early alpha stage. for the price they are asking i'll wait for the full release after a big discount at steam. I am disappointed from all these remakes, they try to capture the essence of the original games but when released they are full of bugs and/or missing features.

    X Com 2

I finished the game for the second time a few days ago avoiding all the mistakes i made at my first playthrough. Although the story of the game along with the gameplay and its art (the city missions felt like a cyberpunk game) are the really strong points, and i enjoyed the game for those reasons, it has many bugs and it's poorly optimized, the lag i faced at the last mission was terrible and many of the bugs that were at the pre-release versions some youtubers had are still there. The sad thing about it is that Firaxis will not fix these issues because they rather keep on their ''principles'' that admit ''defeat''. For those that haven't buy the game wait for a big discount on steam along with any DLC's that might be released.
  7. you can find them at GOG https://www.gog.com/game/star_wars_tie_fighter_special_edition i loved those games and played them to death
  8. very interesting i think i'll try to find some constellations, also i stitched the images since the panorama you provide at your page is too small, i made two versions, one with black background and one with white, take your pick
  9. wow amazing chapter, for a moment i thought you were going to pull some fantastic 4 plot twist but the end is just....wow. Also how did you make those effects of the portal and the explosion?
  10. WOW i have no words for this game and the demo you show, can't wait to see a release version. Do you have any specs for the pc?
  11. As i was searching youtube the search results came upon some Charlie Chaplin clips and i remembered the classic movie Modern Times and especially the scene with the non-sense song sung by Chaplin, this of course led me to another classic movie "The Great Dictator" and the shave scene. This led to spend my day off watching Charlie Chaplin and Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy movies and they made my day since i am feeling down the last weeks. Does anybody have any favorite scenes or movies form the early era of movies? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNPnTgunwiE
  12. For observation i recommend a Dobson Newtonian telescope (dobson is the mount of the telescope which is an alt az mount). The big advantage of this type of telescope is that you can have a large aperture, which means larger light gathering capability which in turn means you can see fainter objects, with a lower cost in comparison with a refractor telescope of the same aperture, also setting it up and dismantling it takes less than 5 minutes. A small disadvantage of the newton telescope is that from time to time you need to check the collimation of the optics (ie the alignment) so you can have clear sharp images but once you learn the process it becomes a routine check. As for the blind spot it only removes a small portion of the total surface of the main mirror and it does not affect the observation at all, also the spider vanes (the spokes you mentioned) of the secondary mirror don't affect the observation and the only thing that affect the image is the addition of spikes at the stars due the refraction of the light at the spider vanes which can help you in focusing the image. As for what telescope to choose i recommend from 6 inches in diameter and above with the 8 inch being the most popular, i have a skywatcher 8'' dobson for 8 years and it never failed me whether i used it for observing or imaging the planets. If money is the issue i recommend to save some more money and get a good scope or buy a used one from an astronomy forum (cloudy nights is the US forum)
  13. love how the story progresses and the plot reminds me more and more the books from the saga of the dark between the stars by kevin j. anderson even though at first i thought you were going at something that resembles the plot of apollo 18.
